Best decision ever. We now have two kids in Dr. Ariza's care and have been with them for 2 years. The office is more of a boutique than a sad or scary doctor's office. Decorated perfect for kids and very inviting. We have never had to wait long and both the ladies at the front desk and the Nurse Kadera (so sorry if I misspelled her name!) are great. Kadera is friendly, gentle and was able to draw blood from my 2 year old with no issues! She's seriously the best. She calls the kids friends and that in itself is such a gift. Dr Ariza is literally an angel. Very supportive of me as a mom and my kids adore her - enough that we play "Dr Ariza" every day. EVERY.DAY. She is a dream come true pediatrician and we feel so lucky to have her. She's brilliant, kind, helpful and supportive. And obsessed with her cool shoes. We have had to utilize the after hour calls a few times and she personally immediately calls back. If you have kids look no further - this is the best office in DC.

They have a primary care physician assigned - Dr. Sexter - but they have at some point or another been seen by all of their physicians. Every one of them are great: kind, compassionate, attentive, and responsive. You will feel heard and they will address your concerns. Their knowledge and expertise is extraordinary. The office - staff and doctors - are also super responsive. If you have a pressing question, someone will get back to you that day. If it's an after hours emergency, there is always a doctor on call and they will respond within 30 minutes. The doctors hold daily office hours but it can be tricky to get a hold of them if they're experiencing a volume of calls. An extra perk I like is that they keep appointments available daily for those common but unplanned for illnesses, and they have a separate waiting room for sick vs not sick. It just runs so well you wonder why more doctors' offices don't do the same. Now of course, the one downside is they are out of network. It's not cheap. I think it's worth it if you can, but financially it can hurt if your kids have a lot of illnesses or shots in a limited period of time. They do at least submit the insurance forms for you, and that helps some. I wholeheartedly recommend this practice and all the doctors in it, and have a deep appreciation for how Dr. Sexter and Nurse Jennifer have taken care of our girls.

When you can get an appointment, it's unlikely you'll see the same doctor you saw the last time. Currently they have no availability for 2.5 months for an appointment, but also they don't schedule more than 3 months out. So if you go in for your 12 month, they won't let you schedule your 15 month so you have to wait a couple weeks and when you call they are all booked up. My child has seen his designated physician only a couple times and she's basically never available. So it's just a rotation of physicians. It's all fine when he's an infant young toddler but you just don't get the care and feeling you want for a young child. There's no relationship. That's just for planned visits. If your child is actually sick, and you need to see someone in short order, forget about it.

The front desk and administrative team at Mary's Center created unnecessary stress and frustration, failing to perform what should be standard, straightforward tasks in a professional medical office. This experience reflects a clear lack of communication and organizational efficiency. I've since scheduled an appointment with a dentist whose administrative team knows how to do their job without hindering patient care, or delaying it.
