He made us wait for 45 minutes, he had overbooked his schedule. This isn't a airline....why are you so backed up??? The doctor was distracted and clearly tired. He threw drugs samples at us with no clear clarification, and when we requested more information he stated "Listen I stayed late to see you today".. how are you tell a patient something like that. You staying late is NOT our issue. My SO was in extreme pain and imagining was needed to see what could be done, after playing phone tag for two weeks, the doctor says to my SO "oh you need authorization, you didn't tell us your insurance needed auth", look its important that patients be aware of their insurance plans but as a trained medical professional these kind of things are supposed to be verified in advance. He wrote scripts for us , when we took it to the pharmacy, they didn't feel comfortable filling even after they spoke with HIM because of his inability to explain exactly why her was prescribing it. We had to go to another pharmacy and they had to call him again to confirm the medication . Meanwhile my loved one is WRITHING in pain. Needless to say we have stopped seeing this doctor, especially since we placed a request for a call back from the doctor 4 weeks ago...and still nothing... This doctor I'm sure in his prime , he was fantastic , he has lots of OLD pictures with dignitaries in his office...which doesn't matter to me if you don't treat your regular day to day with respect!!!! We have found a awesome MD affiliated with VHC in arlington VA. AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COST!

That is a huge plus with me because it makes scheduling and keeping track of everything online. My first appointment was about two years ago. I really enjoyed the beautiful decor, soothing tropical sunset color palette set up similar to a spa. Every time I have had an appointment here everything went very smoothly, I was always treated with with respect and kindness. Dr Ibe is a wonderful, smart and caring person. She both listens and observes; then offers solutions to fit your needs and wishes. For instance, I told her I did not like taking prescription drugs. Each time, she has printed out exercises for my particular needs. The neck and shoulder exercises along with just 5 pills worked like a charm. I am for certain that the exercises I received today will be helpful as well. The office is clean and staff members are efficient, polite, and respectful. I was told that Dr. Motazedi would not provide a prescription to cover even a few days. The idea of going three weeks without medication was very concerning and could potentially negatively impact my health. I found the lack of concern for continuity of care troubling, particularly after being a patient of the practice for more than two decades. Unfortunately, this experience was not the only factor in my decision to leave. Over the years, I have experienced multiple issues with the administrative side of the practice. There have been appointments where I waited more than an hour to be seen. On another occasion, I was scheduled for an appointment on a day when the office was closed. I have also received a same day call asking me to come in several hours earlier than my scheduled appointment because the afternoon schedule was light. Experiences like these left me feeling that my time and convenience were not always given the same consideration that was expected of me as a patient. When I ultimately decided to cancel my upcoming appointment and requested my medical records so I could transition to another practice, I explained that I wanted to share feedback about why I was leaving. Unfortunately, the response and tone I received left me with the distinct impression that my concerns and my decision to leave simply did not matter. After more than 20 years as a patient, that interaction felt dismissive, which was disappointing. I understand that medical practices have policies regarding prescriptions, scheduling, and medication management. I also understand that unexpected circumstances arise. He explained that some services must be referred out. He stated he will give me a referral and as long as the facility excepts VA insurance, I can go to that agency. I called a clinic & then the VA & they also confirmed that it was incorrect what Kersten said. The VA sent over how to properly request referring VA patients to other specialty doctors 10Jun. I gave it to clearway portal 11Jun. I received a phone call 23Jun from an unknown facility that stated Kersten gave my privacy information to them so I can make an appointment. I called the VA & they confirmed that Kersten never sent a request for the previous referral 11Jun nor the new referral 23Jun. If I would've went, I would've been stuck with the bill. Kersten has done a disservice with my privacy information, zero communication or follow-up to me , has lied & failure to observe VA protocols. Training to all physicians at Clearway must be accomplished asap for handling veterans.
