I really wanted to like Dr. Osborn. She was very sweet and (seemingly) thorough during my visit (standard physical). However, the office is super chaotic, here are some reasons why: 1. When I entered - I was greeted half heartedly and when I couldn't remember who I was seeing (new patient) - no one was willing to help me. There were 4 people at the front desk. 2. I have now called the office 6-7 times over a 2 1/2 week period to get my blood results. No one has picked up or responded to my (very clear) voicemails. I was told it would be a week to get - I have now waited a month - and even checked my spam, etc. 3. The office, in general, was not great - which when you have a good doctor - doesn't matter to me. However, with everything else - it now just adds another layer of disappointment. read more

I love Dr. O. She was my old PCP and I always liked going to her. She really takes her time with you. She asks you questions and allows you to explain while she actually listens to your answers. She gives auntie and mom vibes. When she would talk to me, it always felt like a family member staying on top of me, giving me the eye when I didn't do what I was supposed to do lol. She never rushed me in doing things though. She always allowed me to do things at my own pace, especially since I had so many other doctors to deal with. I recommend for sure. read more

I just came back from my 2nd appointment with Dr. Jessica Osborne. Just as the first visit, she doesn't limit her time with you and is extremely thorough. Given the time she spent with me and the questions she asked - she is a TRUE GENERAL PRACTICIONER! My neighbor referred me to her and I am forever indebted to her! When was the last time you went to a Dr and after the examination, he/she took the time to sit down and look at a website together? I am so glad that she is younger than me, so that she can be my doctor for life!! read more

I really wanted to love Dr. Osborn because she does have some good reviews. But due to the chaotic and confusing environment at her office, I won't be returning. She's an overall nice lady and is fairly thorough, but each time I see her, she is extremely backed up and wildly disorganized. Both times I've gone, I've waited for at least 45 minutes. And, both times there was major confusion about why I was seeing her (first time I was supposed to go for a physical, but instead she spent an hour asking me about my medical history). The second time I had a terrible cold and sinus infection, and I ended up waiting over an hour for them to send me to the wrong waiting room twice (first for blood work, which I didn't need, and second to the wrong doctor's room). Both times, the disorganization clearly affected her and her team, and affected bedside manner. I wouldn't recommend. read more

First review on Yelp. Not that Dr. Osborn needs another 5 stars, but it can be tough to find a good doctor so I though it would be worth it. Dr. Osborn is EXTREMELY thorough. She took the best family history of any doctor I have ever seen, and then proceeded to discuss the potential for genetic testing with me, given my family's cancer history. She also discussed the possibility of talking to my parents about their living will, which was very timely given their health condition. Seriously. The woman asked me to speak to my parents about whether or not they having a living will. Brilliant. When I have had minor issues that did not require an office visit, she is always quick to respond over the phone and call my pharmacy when necessary. Only downside - because she is so thorough with all her patients, you might end up waiting sometimes. If you are looking for a "wham bam in and out" doctors office, this is not the place. If you are willing to wait a little bit (not always) for a very warm, kind, compassionate, and knowledgable doctor, this is your place. I would literally recommend her to anyone. Dr. Osborn conducted the most thorough physical exam ever. I even told a doctor friend about my appointment and she too was impressed by the amount of attention Dr. Osborn provided me. Coming across a doctor like this is a rare find. Great doctor, bad experience with the billing office. I was never informed that my network status had changed; most practices in the past have given me a courtesy heads-up when this happens. So I got stuck with a all these out-of-network charges. When I called the billing office to explain, they were unsympathetic and not willing to work with me. Dr. Osborn herself is wonderful. Honestly this lady is a second mother to me. I love her and hope to keep her as my doctor as long as possible. She is thorough, non judgmental and nice to talk to. I have come her over 15 times in the last 3 years and never once doubted her abilities. Highly recommend. I even brave parking on the busiest little corner just to visit her office. I HAVE FOUND MY DOCTOR IN DC! After going thru three different docs, I am so glad I found Dr. Osborn. Her website is very informative. Scheduling online a real bonus. And once in the office a great staff. From reception, to her PA or Nurse and laboratory. Appt started on time and Dr. Osborn really took TIME - like more than a hour with me. I have seen Dr. Osborne for several visits. I found her competent, open to questions, and warm. I am generally healthy, so my needs are fairly straightforward. The medical assistants, phlebotomists and physicians are generally pleasant and competent. The front office staff is not particularly friendly, but appointments and administrative tasks seem to flow well. 10/16/2012 My review was about Dr. Osborne when she was part of a larger group practice so my comments about the staff no longer apply. read more

I'm so glad I found Dr. Osborn! I am new to DC and when I had a cough that wouldn't go away, after going to a walk-in clinic twice I decided it was time to get a primary care physician. I was able to book an appointment for the next day using her online scheduling system, and enter my information online to save time at my appointment. The nurses who took my vitals were friendly and personable, and when Dr. Osborn came in she was very friendly, professional, and took the time to listen to me and explain her recommendations. I also needed to obtain medical clearance for a volunteer program I am doing at Children's National, and she was very helpful in completing all the necessary vaccines and paperwork. She even took the time to walk me over to the lab for a blood draw. Her practice is certified as a Patient-Centered Medical Home, which demonstrates her dedication to her patients. read more

I am a fairly new patient of Dr. Osborn. She was recommended by a friend/co-worker. When I met her and she began to get history of my family I was very impressed with her thoroughness. She did not rush (as previous doctors did) and she seemed to care about me and my health issue; however she was direct and did not cut any corners with me (impressive). Dr. Osborn is a "TEN" in my book. I when home and told my daugher and my son (who are also seeking education in the medical field). Dr. Osborn herself is great. But my experience getting lab results back has been really terrible. She asked me to call the office if I hadn't heard back in a week. After nearly two weeks, I started calling. I think I've left 4-5 messages (one a day). Staff was rude the one time they picked up (they seemed confused as to why I was calling... Even though one of the options is "for lab results press...") but promised to send Dr. Osborn an "urgent" message to call me back. She never did... It's disheartening to call day after day just to get answering machine and to know that they're not going to call. I shouldn't have to beg for test results. read more

I live in Rockville Maryland and drive all the way into DC, which is a road trip, to see Dr. Osborne. There are many good physicians closer to my home, but Dr. Osborne is worth the trip. She is excellent! Best Doctor I have ever had. She's is so thorough, always on time, and most importantly, spends time with you. Even when she chides me for something I didn't do, I don't mind because I know that she does it out of love and in a loving manner. I can't say enough good things about her.
