My two kids are longtime patients of Washington Pediatric Associates. I was led to look at the Yelp reviews after a mother on a neighborhood news group said to do so, after complaining about the cost and time to have heath records for her kids transferred to another physician. Some of the reviews here seem to me more a case of deficient parenting than deficient medical practice -- if your child has a serious fever or other serious medical condition, you take the child to an emergency room or urgent care facility, which a doctor's office is not. The few times we have needed same-day appointments, we have received them -- yes, the practice did not drop everything for us that second, nor did we expect them too. The same-day policy is an improvement from when we first started going there many years ago, when the policy didn't exist and it took us longer to get urgent-care appointments. Now, frankly, we just go there for annual physicals and to get the forms needed for school filled in. Urgent issues like cuts, sprains, fever are more conveniently handled by urgent care centers such as the CVS Minute Clinic and its nurse practitioners. Part of this is driven by what I sense is Washington Pediatric Associates being too eager to shift care for particular issues off to specialists, when I think they might be more readily handled by an experience general child practitioner -- if they don't want to treat my child, I start to expect that, and say why bother going there in the first place. We have found waiting room times agonizing in years past, but have found in recent years it is not as bad. Front-office staff is a mixed bag as it is at many doctors' offices, but at the moment we have no particular complaints. I hope our children never again have an ailment requiring the services of a physicians office but, if they did, I would take them back to Washington Pediatric Associates. My star rating would be two-and-a-half if I could, so I'll round it up to three. read more

My granddaughter is visiting from Texas, but still has an excellent rapport with her previous Bergen County pediatrician. (she recently moved out of area. ) Her DR wasn't available but his service recommended WPA - the doctor on call. We saw Dr Marciano who spent about 4 minutes, just looked at her ears, nose,throat. Pressed her stomach-said it was rumbling. asked her what hurt- she responded legs, head, tummy. I informed Dr of timeline of symptoms, showed her pic of what my granddaughter was vomiting. She took a COVID test. She then peeked her head in the door- informed me that it wasn't COVID and told me to call her DR if she isn't better in a day or two. Probably a virus. I asked her to take her temperature because it was 104 when I last took it. She said no- not necessary. I've raised 2 children, help take care of my grandchildren and have never experienced such aloofness. I'm 67 years old, carrying a sick child, receptionists are sitting there. I had to ask for someone to help open door. I left something in office and immediately walked back to office- door was locked- I guess everyone was in a hurry to leave- Dr was in parking lot. I Would NOT recommend this practice!!!!!!! read more

TL;DR: the receptionist is rude, the space is really dated, good providers (less experience with babies), less accurate equipment? My OB suggested Dr. Lang's office as a potential pediatrician so we thought we'd try it out. We had been going to CPA and for a variety of reasons I wanted to see if I'd have a different experience with a smaller, independent practice. I certainly had a different experience... When I first called to schedule an appointment (in November), I was told I'd have to pay a $75 fee for the year. I explained that I'd pay it if I continue to see Dr. Lang after this initial visit. This is the first I've ever heard of paying an administrative fee for a provider. You're going to really charge me for this year and next even if I'm starting at the end of November? Come on. Anyway, I go in for my appointment and the front desk person tells me my appointment is tomorrow. I double checked and I feel confident that she either gave me the wrong date or put the appointment in the for the wrong day. Then the next morning I had an emergency with the little babe and called the office to speak to a provider to decide if it made sense to go to the ER or to wait for my appointment and make a decision from there. The same woman from the front desk tells me it sounds fine and to come in for the appointment later. I clarified that I was hoping to chat with one of the providers and she proceeded to tell me she can't give me medical advice even no one was asking her to give medical advice nor did I ask her opinion on whether I should come in. I insisted I speak to a provider and she told me that no one was available to speak with me and that she was unable to let anyone know until another 2 hours... I ended up calling our other pediatrician because at least know I can talk to a triage nurse sooner than later. I surprisingly got a call back from Lang's office before the other office called (which wasn't helpful) but I decide to go in since we already have a scheduled appt. I get to the office and one of the providers was sitting at the front and let me know the woman who normally is at the front will be back. I patiently wait. The woman comes back, I say "hello!" and she starts throwing papers around and huffing and puffing very loudly while still never acknowledging me. I am still standing there waiting and she continues on grumbling to herself and not making eye contact. I looked around the waiting room to see if anyone else was noticing this. I assumed she was having a bad day or something... anyway this continued on for a while until she came around to bring us in. Then we go into the room. Now, I don't expect completely new facilities but it was very dated and a bit cruddy. Maybe other rooms aren't like this, but the room I was in there was something all over the walls and door. I was confused why no one would think to even just spray and wipe it. Anyway, there is also a bathroom type sink in the room and no hand sanitizer in sight. There was a multi level caddy in the room and when Dr. Lang came in she put her clip board right on the box of gloves and tissues which to me is no longer sterile for my child since your clip board is going everywhere with you for every visit. It keeps getting worse, guys. We go down the hall to get weight and height in what seemed like a storage room (??). Dr. Lang puts him down on this really old table and insists I push my baby's head to the top of the board which I really didn't want to do because there was nothing covering the board nor the side where she wanted his head to go against. I mean he's a newborn and I don't know who's head or what germs are there... why is there not better care taken for preventing the spread of germs in a doctor's office? I push his head as close to it and am praying it doesn't touch the top, then she's forcing his leg flat and he's screaming and I'm whispering I'm sorry to him because what did I get us into! I bring him over to the next table to get weighed. The scale looks like the same scale we bought from amazon. She puts him on his stomach which also just seems unnecessary (again no cover or wiping down the scale). Dr. Lang is probably a fine provider and seems to be more hands on but she does seem a little out of practice handling newborns. Given the experience with the office manager/front desk, the awkward handling of Quinn, the cold and dated environment, and lack of sanitizing, I just couldn't go back. Whatever hesitations I had about CPA went out the window. Dr. Lang should really think hard about who is sitting at the front and how they are representing the practice. She should also maybe update her office (including the scale and measuring area), I know it shouldn't matter but it really does. How you feel in the office makes a difference especially for your little ones. You want to feel certain they're getting the best care. Maybe I'll find an indy provider at some point that we like, but for now this isn't it. read more

I totally agree with other reviewers statements that are critical of this practice. We were lucky in that our children haven't had any major issues with their health so the basic care has been fine up until now and since I stay at home with our kids I can afford to wait longer than others. I am switching pediatricians now because my son just had a traumatic experience getting his blood drawn from their lab technician (outsourced through another company). The gruff woman poked the arms of our two year old 4 TIMES without drawing any blood, each time digging with the needle. This was Leo's first time getting blood drawn the way adults do, and she was obviously not good with children and didn't prepare him well. It was horrible to watch and I feel terrible for putting all of my trust in the lab technician, watching her treat our baby like a pin cushion. After raising the issue with the Dr., she told me she was happy I raised it with her and that she would have it "taken care of". I don't know what they will do, but damage is done and now Leo is afraid even of cold medicine. Another issue was that the appointment felt rushed. They always do with Dr. Lang since the office is so busy. She was so rushed I am pretty certain she missed my son's ear infection. I specifically mentioned that Leo was complaining about his ears and that he had cold like symptoms, but she said he checked out fine and should't worry. The next evening he was with fever and complaining more about his ears so I had to take him back in again. At this point she remarked "is't it amazing how quickly their bodies change!?". Anyways, this is not the place for personable care at all. They obviously cut corners at their little patients' expense. read more

I'll start this review by saying that Dr. Lang is wonderful with children and my daughter (and I) like her very much. There ends the positive aspect of the review. The women who work at the desk are beyond rude. The wait is atrocious. Your appointment is at 3 pm? Cool. You'll be seen at 5 pm. Does it matter that you have to pay $17 for parking even though you weren't seen for your scheduled appointment until 2 hours later? Of course not. They have zero nurses that I've seen. Well, at least for the past 3 years since we've been. There used to be a nurse named Asha who was lovely and is now gone. Such a pity. This is our last visit to Washington Pediatrics, and honestly, though Dr. Lang was great, surely we can find another practice where they value their patient's time a little more, and where the front desk help won't laugh at you for asking if the doctor is running on time for her appointments today. read more

My twins are almost 13 and my children have been patients of Dr. Nicole Lang and her team at Washington Pediatrics since my kids were born. Dr. Lang is experienced, patient, knowledgeable and reliable. Her rapport with my kids has been excellent (at all stages of their ages) and she believes and treats her patients with concern about the wellness of the whole child as opposed to dealing with an isolated medical issue. Dr. Lang's approach and bedside manner give new moms comfort and brings calm to the kids. Beth, the lead nurse in the practice, is also a knowledgeable medical professional who has established a great relationship with the kids too. I would absolutely recommend this practice. read more

This is the first/only pediatrician my one year old has seen. This is my first child so I don't have the experience that more seasoned parents would have, but I do have the paranoia/ over protectiveness that all new parents have. With that said, I'm extremely comfortable with this practice. It's a small practice with three doctors and a nurse practitioner. They are all very friendly, good with kids and competent. I never feel like they're condescending and I never feel like they're rushing through the appointment. They answer all of my questions, ask a lot of questions themselves and they remember things outside of the chart like past conversations or concerns that I had months ago. It makes me feel like they actually care or, at the very least, are paying attention. Getting an appointment is easy, and I've never had them tell me a date wasn't available. I do, however, have to agree with the other reviewers that the wait times can be a bit long. They call you back to the exam room fairly quickly and the nurse takes her vitals right away, but after that...it might be a while. On average, we wait somewhere around 10-15 minutes. It's not a deal breaker for me, although I can see someone with a sick child being bothered by it. I have Netflix on my phone so Sesame Street keeps my daughter occupied and I never feel rushed when the doctor does come in. I have no preference of doctor. They're all great to me. read more

Dr. Lang and Beth have been our pediatrician and nurse practitioner for our 15-month-old son since he was born. Sadly, we must leave them this month because of a move out of state. If I could give them 1000 stars, I would. They are phenomenal! First, I 100% trust their clinical judgment and skill. Our son had a hard time gaining weight as a newborn, so they had us return weekly for many weeks until he was stable. He started daycare at 6 months and had a series of illnesses, some of which resulted in him needing nebulizer treatments. The first time it happened was scary for us. They made sure he was stabilized in the office, that we had all the supplies we needed for home nebulizer treatments (all we had to do was pick up the prescription), and then called us later that night to check in. We had to go the the ED a couple of times in the middle of the night and they always called the next day to follow up. As first-time parents, they put us at ease and tended to our emotional needs (and screened for postpartum depression). They always made time for us and we never felt rushed. Compared to offices that are part of a hospital system, they were able to spend more time with us, get to know what is important to us, and answer our questions. The culture of the office is to welcome you as part of the family. They spend time to get to know you and address any challenges or concerns. This was particularly import to us as new parents. We rarely waited in the waiting room. The exam rooms are bright and clean (with wind chimes that are wonderful distractions for baby!) and everyone was diligent about hand washing. We consistently were able to make appointments that fit our schedules as two working parents. Their bedside manner is unparalleled, which, aside from trusting their top-notch clinical judgement, is an absolute necessity for me and my family. They are committed to teaching the next generation of NPs, PAs, and MDs, yet never substitute students' time for their own comprehensive evaluation and discussion with us. I always felt at ease leaving their office, which says it all!! read more

I have been extremely happy with Dr. Lang and the entire staff. There is a class offered for new parents which is very helpful to know what to expect in the many pediatrics visits that follow the baby's birth. The office works with an amazing lactation consultant that helped me immensely. Dr. Lang is compassionate and genuinely cares about her patients. I'm so happy with the amazing care and service that my children have received under her. Even when call about a question after hours she gets back with us so promptly. Dr. Nicole Lang has been my son's pediatrician for the past 16 years. She is a part of our family. We live in Baltimore, but because our son's dr. is one of the most important things in the world to us, we still travel down to Washington DC to her practice to see her and her associates. Anytime we need a prescription, or a school form filled out, or just have a question, she is there. Several times in the past, we have needed a specialist, and she has referred us to other doctors in her network. We love her, and can't imagine going anywhere else. read more

Dr. Lang has been our 5 year-old son's pediatrician for two years now, and she has been everything we had hoped for. Whether it is helping us with forms for Ross Elementary School, to setting up a same day appointment for a raging ear infection our son picked up on an international trip, Dr. Lang and her staff were most helpful. If you can get to a doctor they're very nice, but I agree with the other reviewers, this is a very busy practice. The nurse practitioner is very nice and she's competent, but way too busy. And she's the one who usually sees the patients, it doesn't seem very fair since there are three doctors and only one of her. I can tell she does her best, but maybe the other doctors should try and help her out? It's their names on the plaque on the door; you'd think they would handle more of the workload. So bottom line: they're competent and attentive so your child will be fine in their care, but be ready for a long wait and a lot of back and forth. read more

I have waiting a while to write this review because I am so upset about the way we were treated here. We initially joined the practice because of the convenient location, and for a the first year or so, we were generally satisfied. Dr. Sage was pleasant and generally saw us on time. The rest of the staff, including the receptionist were aloof, but we were ok with that. After Dr. Sage left, we saw the nurse practitioner for a couple appointments - and we were fine with that as well. Then she left as well, and everything went south. They were chronically running behind, the staff seemed stressed and they rushed appointments. On one occasion my appointment with Dr. Lang was cancelled and I had to call back several times to reschedule. For my daughter's 15 month appointment, I waited 2 hours to see Dr. Lang. I hour 45 minutes with my daughter in her diaper in the exam room. Every time I asked the nurses how long it would be - they said we were next. I understand that things come up, but if they had told me it would be a while, I could have at least dressed my daughter while we waited. When Dr. Lang finally saw us, she as visibly rushed and stressed and she did not even make eye contact. Then we had an incident that pushed me over the edge. My daughter came down with a fever one weekend. I called the office when it opened on Monday morning for an appointment, and they told me to come in late afternoon. Over the course of the morning my daughter started getting worse. She was not eating or drinking anything and we could not bring her fever down. I called them back to say she was getting worse. I was told we had to wait for our appointment. Desperate, I went into the office to see if we could talk to a nurse about what to do. We were quite literally kicked out of the door. I am very glad that at that point, I made the decision to go to the emergency room because as it turned out, it truly was an emergency (my insurance charges for ER visits that are not deemed emergencies). I am not upset that they did not see us outside our appointment window. I am upset that they offered no advise or alternatives and showed zero compassion. We have since found a new practice that we really like. It is quite possible that we were at WPA through a really rough patch with high staff turnover and they have since improved. Regardless, I can't recommend WPA to anyone. read more

I wanted to like this practice as it was recommended to me by my OB but after 5+ years of trying to make it work, we couldn't take it any longer. Here's why: - Phones are never turned on on time. They "open" at 8 but then are often 15+ minutes late. So if your kid is sick and you're trying to get an appointment, you've already spent 20 minutes in the morning waiting and trying the number 30 times. - Often times - when you have a sick kid - you cannot get an appointment that same day! Unacceptable. - When you explain your kid's symptoms to the nurse on the phone, they ALWAYS ask you to come in. My new doctor, their main goal is your kids health and they never ask you to come in for a sick appt unless you need to. Dr. Lang's office asks you to come in at the first sign of a cough. Why? My guess would be to get the bill for the visit. - If your kid has a high fever, they send you to the emergency room. Ever been to the emergency room with a kid with a fever? Be prepared to stay there for 8+ hours and have the staff think you are insane for coming in. Unless the fever can't be reduced with meds or the fever is causing super high temps (seizures or listlessness) a fever isn't anything to worry about let alone go to a crowded DC area emergency room for. Why does she send you to the emergency room? So they can transfer the responsibility off of themselves and onto the emergency room. I ever asked the emergency room docs about it - probably the 3rd time we were sent by Dr. Lang's office - and they said that her practice does this for some reason. Why are they so worried about being sued? No thank you. - The wait time to see the doctor is unbelievable. At first, the newborns are seen right away when you come in for the appointments so you get lured in. Then, the older your child gets the longer the wait times are. Suddenly you're with your 4 year old, waiting for 2 hours to see a doctor (or sometimes an RN!). - The people at the front desk are generally unfriendly. There are so many unfriendly people in DC. Do I also need to have this at my kids' doctor? No thanks. - They charge you for DC school forms. I think it's between $20-50! Ripoff. My new doctor does it for free, anytime. I think Dr. Lang is a good doctor but this practice needs a complete overhaul. They won't do it though because they're overflowing with patients and parents who don't know there are awesome pediatricians out there. We switched to Children's First Pediatrics in Silver Spring. HIGHLY recommend. They have walk in sick visits, they're open extended hours - even late - and they only have you cart your sick kid in if they actually need to be seen. I love that about them - they care more about your kid's health than their pocketbook. read more

My husband and I had just returned from abroad and made an appointment to see the doctor--the immunization schedule in the UK for babies/toddlers differs from the States. I expressly asked the doctor to make sure his immunizations were up to date according to US standards. She reviewed his UK chart (quickly as she was running very late), gave him some shots, said, "Okay, we'll see you when he's two," and we were out of there, presumably "caught up." On registering my son for daycare, I came to find he was never given Hep A or Hep B, vaccines given in the US (and requirements for daycare unless you have a medical waiver). I guess we weren't as "caught up" as we thought. This office is busy. Very busy. Needless to say, we are seeking another doctor. read more

We've been taking our daughter to Washington Pediatric Associates for 2 years now. We've found all the doctors and nurses to be wonderful. They all seem to genuinely care about our daughter and take the time to make sure we understand everything she needs. We've never felt rushed. Fortunately our daughter is very healthy and rarely sick. I don't think we've ever taken her there other than for wellness visits. We never wait longer than 5-10 minutes for those visits in the waiting room. Twice we called after hours to get advice when she was sick and a nurse called us back within an hour. I've read the other reviews here and frankly I think they're talking about another practice. We've never had anything short of a wonderful experience with Dr Lang and everyone at Washington Pediatric Associates. read more

We've been taking our almost 3-year old son to Washington Pediatric since he was born. Generally, I've found the practice adequate. Not great - my son had a significant learning delay that Dr Lang and her staff totally failed to notice (even though we were expressing concerns and asking questions about how many words he should be saying). We got a lot of "oh, parents are always worried about that stuff" responses to our concerns. Fortunately, we decided on our own initiative to take our son to a development pediatrician at Georgetown, who instantly expressed a concern that he was on the autism disorder spectrum. We had a rather panicked call from Dr Lang's office after they got the report, offering us some belated assistance in locating qualified care - but since that experience, I don't trust them to handle anything more sophisticated than an ear infection. I do find that they'll always squeeze us in on the same day for small emergencies, and they seem able to deliver vaccines on schedule - so I regard them as adequate basic care providers. However, I would advise parents who use this practice to be very vigilant about independently tracking your kids' development milestones, etc, as I really don't think that Dr Lang or her staff are attentive to detecting possible development delays. (Plus, we see a different person every single time we go there--you're recreating the wheel every time you express a concern.) And I would totally recommend going to a real doctor/emergency room for anything serious. Also, don't know about other moms, but I've been trying for 2 and a half weeks to get a form from Dr Lang so I that enroll my son in school. I've been to the office to collect it in person and requested that it be mailed - after one visit, about 10 phone calls and a $20 fee, I still can't get hold of the thing! It's been a huge waste of my time, and is making me think that the admin staff is a total disaster. UPDATE: it ended taking three in-person visits to the office to get the silly form signed and filled out. The staff was rude and impossible, and Dr Lang herself was totally disorganized. Receptionists is incredibly rude. Marquita? Wife called and was told her insurance was not supported, the secretary did not even ask for the policy. We tried again, two seconds later after confirming in fact they were listed in network. We received the "staff is out to lunch" voicemail, seriously? Our hospital requires a follow up with pediatrics before being discharged. Marqueeta did not even allow us to speak with the doctor on the third try. I'm pretty sure she just wants to get people off the phone as quick as possible. Dr. Lang has stellar reviews, but with this experience alone, I'd stay away as far as possible. No thanks, talk about terrible customer service. read more

I had previously given two stars, but have to knock one off. We're done with this place. Multiple requests for a required school form to get our son into preschool in DC. Multiple assertions that the form had been faxed (ref. previous review re the office's strange insistence on fax over email) and yet it had not arrived. Basically, just lies from the front desk. Turns out Dr. Lang had some questions, but never called to ask them, despite knowing the strict deadline for the form. This practice is in dire need of a professional. read more

We love Dr. Lang! My family has had a long-term relationship with Washington Pediatrics. This is attributed to the relationship we have with Dr. Lang. Parents beware. I visited dr Lang before my son was born because I needed a new pediatrician as my previous pediatrician was no longer in practice. I asked her a number of questions and she seemed pleasant enough. Do not be fooled! Her practice is a mess. After a less than a year of bringing two children under 3 to her I have had more bad experiences than I care to remember. Most of them were minor annoyances so I let them go as a bad day or a just a hiccup, but over the year I'd consistent poor performance I am changing doctors again. The only saving grace of the practice is the nurse practitioner Beth. She is wonderful and my daughter loves her. I believe there has been 3 different office managers since we've started going there last June. Whenever I call I get an answering service and often have to call back multiple times in order to connect with a person in the office. Dr Lang herself has terrible manner with me and with my children. I often schedule my appointments in the morning due to nap schedules. On three occasions I arrived about 5-10 minutes prior to my appointment time and the office was locked and no one was there. The last visit I waited 35 minutes past my appointment time before dr Lang showed up and when she arrived and I told her that I was about to leave because I didn't know if she was coming she actually yelled at me... you read it right, she yelled at me. In front of my two young children she was slamming her bags around and yelling about things that were going on in her personal life. I was shocked and a bit shaken. I would have left immediately but since she does not carry vaccinations in her office and I had just paid over $400 out of pocket for my children's vaccines from the pharmacy, I was stuck there. It was a terrible experience. I hoped she was just having a bad day and I tried again. Today was the final straw. She was late again - and we were stuck outside her office with $300 worth of vaccines. When she did arrive she did not even apologize, but rather she reprimanded my daughter for eating Cheerios in the exam room (my daughter is 3 and we had been waiting for almost 30 minutes). I am a pretty flexible person and I can completely understand that we all have good and bad days. An apology goes a long way to making things better. All this being said - I wish Dr Lang no ill will and I hope that whatever is going on in her personal life that is effecting her ability be a good doctor is resolved, however, I would warn any parent thinking of going to her to be aware that the experience and well being of you and your children are not currently her first priority. read more

My daughter who is 5 has been going to this office since she was born, but I wish I would have found another doctor sooner. Like other reviewers have said, the front office staff is unwelcoming and unprofessional. I called over a month ago (and paid $20) to have my daughter's DC health certificate mailed to me, and it still hasn't arrived. Contrary to this, my children's dentist mailed a related form to me within a week of my request and they did it for free!! When I called to follow up and to request it be sent "again" (as they said it was sent a month ago, and on another occasion I was told it hadn't been sent and that it would go out that weekend -- of course, it never arrived) I got attitude from the girl on the other end, and never an apology for what could have been a simple mix up. Needless to say, the front office staff is truly incompetent and will not take responsibility for their shortcomings. For that alone, I say find another practice. read more

My children used to see Dr. Lang and as much as I like her, I cannot recommend this place. On average, we've had to wait about 30-40 minutes past our appointment to have our kids seen always with the same excuse "sorry, it's just really busy today." I can't even count how many times I've heard that. We stuck around for several years since it's a pain to switch doctors and we weren't going as much since our kids were getting older. During our time there, our kids only saw Dr. Lang maybe four times, and always saw a different doctor thereafter. Dr. Lang is a wonderful person but her practice needs a lot of administrative restructuring. She needs to hire more doctors or limit the number of patients to what is realistic and the office can actually handle. In addition, her administrative staff is unprofessional and sour. The biggest deal-breaker for me though was that you can never rely on seeing a doctor when you're scheduled to meet with them. If your appointment was at 2:15, plan on being there for at least two hours- at least 15 minutes to get through the door and another 45 for the doctor to come in and see you. I actually have to work and cannot afford to take 1/2 off for a child's well-visit. My advice: Go elsewhere unless you're fine with spending 1/2 day at WPA. read more

Dr. Lang has an unacceptable attitude to her little clientele. She might keep you waiting up to 2 hours, and it does not matter how sick your child is. It's faster and more efficient to go to ER. She never returns your calls - it's impossible to personally talk to her over the phone - she is obviously above such trivia. She does not seem to bother about possible allergies her use of an air freshener spray in hall and exam rooms may cause. Her treatment is mainly limited to a prescription of antibiotics. For a simple advice on the child's sleep routine, she directs you to a pediatric psychologist without any hesitation. We've had other pediatricians prior her, and know what a dedicated doctor is. I have been taking my daughter here for four years mostly because it is impossible to get a new patient visit anywhere else in DC. I have been mostly unhappy with my experience there because they can never fit us in for sick visits, are unattentive during well visits, and rude on the phone and in person. We are a pretty healthy family so I let it go and just show up to get school papers signed. This year when we went to get our school physical they tell us (not ahead of time but in person) that in order to get vaccines we will have to leave the office, go to the pharmacy and pay out of pocket to get the standard, required vaccines before coming back upstairs to our appointment. I have never heard of a primary care physician making it so difficult to get basic public health services that children need to stay safe from life threatening illnesses. So ridiculous. read more

As others have said, Dr. Lang is great. She is kind, caring, and knowledgeable. It's sad that she has let her practice sink so far that we felt compelled to leave after almost ten years of her being our pediatrician. Billing is disorganized. We've dealt with numerous errors which their "outsourced" billing company seems to have no incentive to fix. Recordkeeping is terrible. We recently spent 10 months waiting (with lots of excuses along the way) for WPA to send our children's medical records to us. Waiting times are highly unpredictable; 10 minutes or 90 minutes. WPA's decision to stop covering vaccinations -- requiring us to pay over $400 out of pocket and then seek reimbursement from our insurance -- was the final straw. WPA claims that this is becoming a common practice, but every other pediatrician we have spoken with covers vaccinations rather than requiring patients to pay out of pocket. Until the office is run better and the policies improve, I can't recommend this place no matter how good the lead doctor is. read more
