Matchbox is always so fun. They have decent prices. There's a back patio with a lot of space when the inside fills up, which it tends to do on weekends. The music is usually decent, and I think they have those digital jukeboxes where you can pay to play specific songs. There's usually not a cover so it makes for a great place to pop in or pregame at!

What a cool bar. One of their ads is a poster, "Missing Cheap Drinks in RiNo - last seen on Thursday nights at the Matchbox." I went on a Tuesday night and the drinks were still cheap! Their HH runs daily open to 8pm. Wells are $4 (unheard of anywhere in the area). They also have delicious infused shots such as Green Tea, Spicy Pickle, and Horchata for $9. Super friendly bartender with a laid back clientele. Will definitely come back.

What a fun time at this place. Singing, dancing and a patio. Perfect time in Denver!

This is a very nice spot to grab a craft beer and more. The beer garden in the back has a lot of awesome mural art as well. These photos are from 2017, so maybe some of the art has changed, but I am sure that it is just as awesome now. Cheers!

    Happy hour specials.

Having passed The Matchbox by on multiple occasions while bar/brewery hoping in RiNo, I decided it was long over due I stop in to check it out. SPACE: I'm going to agree with Abby S. In that they are striving for a dim grunge kinda look/feel. There's exposed brick all around, some art on the walls for sale, tables that fold down against the walls when they're busier, and a chalkboard featuring the drink specials. Plus they have a roll up door in the front for warmer weather and a patio out back (to the side). STAFF: Decently attentive. They weren't terribly busy while I was there, but the area around the bar was crowded. I had to wait a few for my tab after ordering my second drink to close out. DRINKS: I sipped on a Moscow Mule ($7) and a Princess Yum Yum from Denver Beer Co ($4). I was impressed at the cost for my craft beer. $4 is actually a terrific deal! The mule wasn't anything impressive. The specials are mostly generic beers with a shot of liquor. PRICE: Unfortunately, I didn't see anything saying that the have a $10 minimum on credit card purchases, but they do. Lame. I hate minimums. Pricing is pretty cheap for beers and their specials (which appear to be mostly generic beer with a shot of liquor). It's painfully average (quality and cost) for mixed drinks. Eh, now that I've been to The Matchbox, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back - unless it's for one of their drink specials or a cold brew.

The bartender here Kristen literally changed my life. Also paid like 8 for two drinks so you really can't go wrong. Love this place

A poor excuse to create a parasocial relationship. First, as…read moresomeone who has visited several establishments, I have to say Wild Corgi wasn't one of the best. The bartenders try to create a parasocial relationship, but fail because their attention is split across several tasks throughout the evening. This is common in Denver, as rising costs from both landlords and regulations continue to force businesses to cut staff and demand more from fewer people. Staff are often distracted by multiple tasks, including cleaning and billing, and they often cause incidents that they then blame on consumers. A clear example is that, as I was closing out the night, an iPad was presented as a payment method. Once it was done, the bartender reached for it and spilled beer all over me. At the time, the bartender was also distracted, talking to another patron at the service area without paying attention. Instead of taking responsibility or offering napkins, the staff said they spill stuff all the time. As I asked for napkins, the staff walked away, and another customer provided them. Staff did not apologize for spilling the beer or for not providing napkins. The staff was completely unhelpful and, at the same time, acted without care for public safety. To note a few of the illegal situations that Wild Corgi engaged in: 1. With two male bartenders working at the same time, neither asked for identification to prove I was over 21 years of age; 2. The bar did not display its liquor license; 3. A tax license is not properly displayed; 4. The staff is not trained in TIPS. Cannot recommend this place unless you are under 21.

Either way it was late and we were looking for some sort of sit down to eat and glad we stumbled upon this place. We called first to make sure and honestly didn't realize it was a Speakeasy or something to that extent. When we arrived it looked like a book store and talked to the host and found out we were in the right place and although we didn't have a reservation they were able to accommodate us almost immediately which was great. The atmosphere was great and we both enjoyed our time. I don't drink anymore but got a mocktail but my girl drinks so she had a couple so we got to see the mixologist do their thing. I can tell he was itching to make more drinks but he was great and gave us some places to check out around town before we left back for California. The whole experience was great , my girl enjoyed her drinks and we both enjoyed the food and most importantly, why you would want to come here, the experience. The atmosphere and the service were great and recommend for quiet celebrations or date nights .
