We are new to this area. We've been wanting to try some of the restaurants downtown Greer. And excited to walk into the mason jar. Great menu, cute little place. We went on a Saturday night and the locals were restless. The server at the door asked how many in our party and said she would clean a table for us. Then a group of older women came in a planted themselves at the table that was to be cleaned for us. We ended up with a better table in theory, but a group of unsupervised children were at a table behind us making a mess. They belonged to an employee we later determined. Shortly after the children were sent to play else where on this Saturday night. A local prostitute sat at the table previously occupied by the children. Where she successfully worked to find a John for the night. Service was poor and chaotic, the food was mid and the music never started is the hour we were in there. Hope they can get it together. Family of four went here on a Sunday. Place was about 3/4 full; nobody waiting to be seated and there were a few empty tables. We sat there with nothing but water to drink for 20 minutes. Server finally brought out 3 of the 4 ordered drinks and then took off before we could order food. Server walked by us several times to serve one table, wouldn't make eye contact with us despite both adults trying politely to flag her down. After 30 minutes with no contact from her, (and no 4th drink) we paid for our drinks and left. If anyone needs a Server job, apparently the expectations are pretty low here. read more

I used to love this place...I met many of my friends and my boyfriend at this establishment, and it honestly became a second home to me. Unfortunately, the new ownership has completely ruined this place and its southern charm. The rudeness and complete disrespect to customers, who do not fit their criteria of posh and upscale, is completely ridiculous. The food and drinks have always been good, but that does not make up for the lack of respect towards customers. The new owners clearly do not understand what Southern Hospitality is, which is ironic considering the type of eatery they purchased. **Or just have a huge misunderstanding of the concept, since they claim being born in the South** I will miss my second home, but I can not justify spending my hard earned money at an establishment that lacks care and compassion for their paying customers. They were not very busy when we went in and we were seated quickly. Party of 8. We all ordered but one Fancy Salad was missed from the order. Everyone else got their food. They assured us the salad was coming. It never did. We all finished our meals and yet no salad. How they couldn't get a salad out stat it beyond me. Just kept saying it was coming. We finally said we wanted the check and we paid and left. They did not handle this well. No discount or anything offered and my mom didn't get her meal. They didn't charge us for the salad of course but we didn't get it so this was not customer service gesture. read more

Honestly, if it weren't for the manager and her superb customer service I would give this place 1 star and that is solely for the genius of having a Lego table for kids. Food: 1 star my taco salad was the shell, spring mix lettuce that didn't belong in a taco salad, huge tomatoes and literally someone took a hamburger patty and cut it up for the meat. My husband got the country steak and gravy with instant potatoes and what seemed to be stovetop cornbread dressing. My kids got a corn dog and Mac and cheese. The only side option they have for kids is french fries or green beans from a can. We ordered the sampler platter as an appetizer which was lack luster and void of taste for $12. Our marinara sauce tasted rancid and it was explained to us that something had spilled into the sauce and it was delivered to us on accident. Service: 3 stars our waitress was new and I don't understand why these restaurants don't have the staff taste the food before they put them on the floor. She tried really hard and I was able to laugh off most mistakes. She was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere: 2 stars it was clean and the lego table will surely entice my children into wanting to return. However, there is a corridor to walk to the front door with tables for outdoor seating where there is someone smoking at all times. Even when someone isn't smoking there it smells like smoke. Management: 5 stars the manager recognized that we were not happy with our experience and was friendly. She invited us back to try it again and wanted feedback on how to improve upon our experience. All in all we will be back to try a burger and a beer. After all it's not an awful establishment I would just think that they would want to improve on some quality issues and it could be a really great place to hang out and eat. The new owners were very helpful and pleasant. I sampled a few different draft beers and chose one that would go great with a grilled cheese and delicious french fries. We dined on the sidewalk so the puppy could enjoy some of their tasty chicken tenders. Very reasonably priced, quick service and friendly people. We will be back! read more

Came for the Disney karaoke, and were told it would be a bit of a wait due to some people staying to watch karaoke. We were told there was one group ahead of us and when they were sat and the next table left, apparently there was ANOTHER table ahead of us. At this point we were so hungry and angry, we were just going to find another place to eat. Then the manager comes over to us and said they were going to do a head count to see how many people were staying for karaoke, and how many were planning to leave and told us it wouldn't be much longer, then in comes another group who stood/ sat at the bar waiting for a table, and then another couple came in and walked straight to the bar and sat down. I found this down-home spot by accident. In town for an event in Greer and decided to go for a walk. Drawn in by the sound of live music, I stepped into a 50-seat restaurant, walls lined with old style signs and decor. The bar is illuminated with twinkle lights. I was promptly greeted and given a menu, and told that at 11pm the kitchen was still making everything on it. I ordered the chicken sandwich. Out came a perfectly grilled chicken breast on a toasted bun with fresh veg. Hand cut fries on the side were not seasoned, but were perfectly cooked. Servers let me know that everything is purchased fresh every couple days, prepped in house, and cooked to order. I am so glad I stumbled on this hidden gem. Will definitely be back! read more

When I think back on this place, all I can think of are the saltiest fries I have ever experienced. I read about these famed fries on yelp before coming, but I figured the restaurant was just having a bad day. Unfortunately, it seems like they want every customer to leave with high blood pressure and an impending heart attack. They are truly so salty and overcooked it is almost impossible to eat them. Most of the time, I visit this place on Sundays for Music Trivia from 7:30PM to 10PM. The music trivia host is pretty awesome and I always enjoy it. The food is average at best.
