Service took almost 15 minutes to acknowledge I was there then got my drink order wrong. Food came out very quick, but not very good. Boneless fried chicken breast was ok but small. Mashed potatoes and gravy tasted exactly like what I got in the public school cafeteria. Not good. Collards underdone and no flavor. My 87 year old mother read that this was a meat and three with good reviews. She was a little surprised that it's a bar and restaurant. We ordered a hamburger steak, broccoli casserole, fried squash, fried okra, and a four vegetable plate with Mac'n cheese, fried okra, fried squash, and Lima beans. The bartender checked our plates before we left and caught a mistake--totally on the ball. My mother said her hamburger steak was a little salty, but good otherwise. My team picked up from here for lunch while I was in town for business. We called in our order and it was ready when we got there to pick it up. It was highly recommended by several of our co-workers. Many of which regularly order from the meat & three options. Some of my team did as well. I opted for the Bird Dog Sliders (Three slider buns stuffed with hand-breaded, deep-fried chicken tenders, bacon, shredded cheese and drizzled with honey mustard ) with a side of Onion Rings. Wow, many years ago we lived nearby and used to visit and this place was very rough around the edges and I wouldn't have given a second thought about eating here. The ticket was rung up as red dry rub but we received Buffalo wings, which are always soggy and gross from Bubba's which is why we don't order them. Very disappointing. Place was busy but not crowded yet we waited 10 minutes for a server to arrive. Place our order and then waited 25 minutes for the food. Ordered a salad to come first and asked our server again at the 15 minute mark and yet all the food came at the same time. All of our food was good, not great but it was only slightly warm. Server blamed it on a backup of orders since 2 people were training. As I said I will try it again because the wings are good and if they had been hot they probably would have been very good. The wife and I came here for the first time on Saturday night. Have driven by it a zillion times over the last 15 years, finally stopped in to give it a try. Atmosphere is typical of a sports bar. A large bar area with seating as well as a separate area that is eating only. Plenty of TV's in the restaurant, you should have no problem finding your game. Our service was very good and our waitress very pleasant. She kept our drinks filled and checked on us regularly even though the place was pretty busy and there were not an abundance of wait staff. Now the food. We had wings with French fries - the fries were good, nothing special but certainly good. The wings, what can I say...they were huge!!! The meatiest wings we have ever had. The sauce was outstanding (they make their own sauces / rubs). We had the dry ranch rub and the BBQ sauce...they were both fantastic. I have eaten wings all over the country, these were the best! And I have been driving by them for 15 years. Good food, come here often after soccer games. When I came here with a big party the waiters stood behind the child's table talking about how irritated they were because we were there and that we should have sat with our checks. We were there with friends and the kids sat with their friends. This really upset our children because they heard grown adults talking bad about them. It was my first time here. I ordered the Meat + 3. They have a regular menu as well and my husband ordered from there. He got the corn beef Rueben which he enjoyed. I got the meatloaf which was good, corn, mashed potatoes and banana pudding. Corn was good. Mashed potatoes tasted like the spuds from a box when I was a kid. Really good meat & 3 (fairly large selection that changes daily) plus a menu you can order off of. Good portions...quality food....well made. After 8:00 only food off menu (no meat & 3) but menu items ares good as well! Nice servers. Place feels a little like a bar but is definitely more restaurant than bar.
