Crispy chicken tenders, fries and coleslaw
    Corey B.

The food was tasty. I ordered crispy chicken strips, fries and coleslaw as my two sides of choice. The coleslaw isn't sweet for those of you like myself that prefer it sweet. However with a little sugar it too was tasty as well.

Sat at bar and Evan the bartender made me a delicious margarita! Saw that they have shakes but no root beer float?? That would be a hit here! I ordered catfish nuggets are very crisp and flakey on the outside. The fried pickled okra is a first for me. These are pickled and fried not just fried. Seats are comfy and did I mention they have happy hour??

    Fried pickle spears -- delicious!

After hearing about the Spartanburg location, I was excited to see one open up a little closer to Greenville. The restaurant is spacious and has a casual sports bar feel. The service was quick and attentive. We loved the eggrolls with greens and Mac and cheese. The rest of the food pretty good, but the egg rolls were the standout.

The Castle Roll. A boy heavy in the cream cheese but nice. Am a fan of salmon. Friendly server. The restaurant was not overly crowded but the food took a while to come out. The indoor acoustics allowed for easy conversation and the background music complements the room. Tavola is quickly becoming one of our favorites. We love the setting and the food. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and beyond helpful guiding us to the Fruitti di Mare appetizer which was amazing..and the cocktails were the best I have had in a very long time anywhere. Being a bourbon fan I couldn't resist trying the Molly's Moda Antica and my wife had a Mediterranean Mule. We had a fabulous dinner. I tried the Branzino seafood entree which I had never heard of, but it was delicious. My wife had the Pappardelle pasta. Next visit I think we'll try for an outside balcony table or enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the open air bar seating. Good service, nice setting and an interesting menu with great food!

Not exactly la dolce vita. Thankfully, carbs save the day. Everything was house made. The handmade pasta was made with flour flown in from Italy! I had the casarecce which had light and well-balanced bacon and lemon flavors. My date had the the "whole" branzino, which despite described as "whole" came already de-boned and without the head. It was crispy, golden, and serving main character energy with its unique presentation. Frutti di mare was... there. I didn't think the flavors were anything to write home from Italy about. Though, the presentation was impeccable, I must admit. Whitney, our server, deserves a standing ovation! She was part waitress, part Italian food narrator, and made every dish sound like it had a backstory which honestly just elevates the whole experience. And the lemon cheesecake is worth saving room for. Flavors were bright, dreamy, and worth every calorie. My only regret is skipping the house-made focaccia.

It is found tucked behind the building with only a small, letter-sized paper sign marking the entrance. No flashy signage, no obvious storefront, which adds to the appeal if you're into that kind of hunt. Walking up to it late at night can be a little intimidating but it is well lit which I greatly appreciated! Once inside, the space is dimly lit and small, which makes for a genuinely intimate setting. I'd say it's good for a quieter, more conversational vibe rather than a loud night out. We went with the bartender's choice: pick a base liquor, then two words to describe what you're after. I went with vodka and "slightly sweet, refreshing," for $18. The bartender nailed the brief but it wasn't a drink I'd think about again or specifically order by name. Solid execution, forgettable flavor. Service was the real standout. Our bartender was excellent at walking us through the concept and translating vague requests into something that actually worked. That, plus the atmosphere, is enough to bring me back to see what else is on the menu since we made it there just in time for last call so I ended up only having one drink.

I was just about to give up and go somewhere else when a spot opened. We were a group of 10 and were the 6th and 7th to arrive. Came in and sat down and it was a good 15 minutes before our server appeared for drink orders. They had a really good stout on draft so I ordered that and the alligator bites. It was another 15/20 minute before our server came back to inform me the keg blew and that beer wasn't available. So water it was. The alligator bites were not horrible, but weren't great either. Very bland and the breading was.....not crunchy. It was almost like they were microwaved and not cooked long enough. I went with the double bacon burger and fries, which was a $0.99 upsell from the house chips that comes with the burger. Two big thick patties with cheese and bacon. Pretty good burger. Not the best I've ever had but not the worst either. As for the ambience, good luck having a conversation. The place is open and loud. The actual restaurant is fairly small but it's part of a larger area. Think of a food court in a mall. Very hard to have a conversation due to all the noise. And people wondering in and sitting down without checking in, taking wait staff away from their other tables. Overall, I wasn't impressed. But, like I said, the area prom had a lot more people out than a normal Friday night, so I will return again for another meal.

Really good food that we enjoyed thoroughly. Very interesting menu-fusion of many cuisines featuring many ingredients that found their way into places one would not expect. With happy results! I had the salmon moussaka. The salmon was delicious-slightly blackened. Great quality salmon. Paired nicely with the lovely tzatziki and accompanied by salad heavy with toasted garbanzos and mucho quinoa, 'cukes, endive-heavy greens and a spot on bright dressing. Sister had black bean burger on dressed bun that was accompanied by perfectly prepared steak fries with house made ketchup that had a slight heat to it. Really good as well. Kitchen staff nailed the preparation and everything came out perfectly. First meal out in Greenville (as we cook). I could not have been more pleased. Great value for the price. Certainly not inexpensive, but not outrageous. I will definitely be "stealing" this moussaka dish and presentation for my wife the minute I return home! Menu is in transition per our wait person, and one interesting dish was not available. And a croquette dish had been substituted the croquettes for a latke-like pancake (I presume)-not a croquette. Extremely friendly to the veg crowd! Seems like a great kitchen and well run restaurant. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere is very inviting... clean lines.... clean restaurant... terrific attentive service. We looked for a restaurant in the Greenville area that offered vegan and non vegan options. So this fit the bill. Richard said the veggie burger was a bit too soft for his liking. I say that in reference to a vegan burger we had in Berlin that was quite meaty in texture. I think using pea protein really makes a difference in texture... it is used more overseas than in the US. I had the zucchini and potato arepa. It was very tasty and quite filling!!!! A little too heavy for me for lunch... very hearty option. Our waitress was right there when we needed her, kept our water glasses filled, which is important to me because I drink a lot of water at meals. Our daughter had the Brussel sprouts, which she said were delicious. Serving sizes are good!!
