Two stars is for decent food and decent service. My biggest issue with this restaurant is they have multiple wall mounted fragrance dispensers above the tables. So while I am waiting for my food and eventually eating my meal, I am bombarded with synthetic chemicals that I can smell and taste. It totally ruined my time inside the restaurant. These machines are the type you would normally find in a public restroom, and made the place feel as such. Horrible! I could barely taste the food properly because these fragrance dispensers were giving a fresh cloud of glade plugin like nastiness every 5 min!! Another issue with this restaurant is they do not give you a traditional bill or receipt. The waitress gave me a small black machine and stood next to me while I was checking everything. The tip calculator was over by $4 for a 20% tip. I do not trust places that operate this way. read more

I will start off saying the service was outstanding. From the hostess at the door to the servers on the floor as well as the manager, they all were very polite, professional and Henry was attentive. We had a large party and handled us with ease. The Mason Jar is a nice, quaint, stylish but laid back restaurant and the atmosphere was perfect. I love the location because afterwards, I was able to walk down to several shops before leaving. Let's get back to the food! Ahhhhh yea the food.... ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I love to travel and dine so I have officially made this one of my spots! I had the shrimp and grits and they have a creative spin to it. It was so much that I could not finish it but you better believe I wanted to! Whoever thought the blend of grits, shrimp, Brussels sprouts and bacon would be a hit!! We stopped in on a warm, sunny Sunday afternoon so sat out front on the sidewalk along Trade St. Service was great. Ambience inside was typical sports bar with tv screens around. The food was so good! My husband had the Greek salad with grilled chicken (always health conscious). I had a breakfast burrito, sweet potato fries with hot honey as a dip, and a side of French toast. All of our food was so tasty! In fact my husband ate half the fries and a fourth of my burrito! And I still took some of my meal home for breakfast tomorrow. We look forward to going there again with extended family. read more

I absolutely stand by Mason Jar. If you want a wonderful atmosphere with bar vibes but, aslo at night they have live music well this is the place for you. I love there salads it's always my go too. Wonderful Food I have to go at least once a month to get my salad. The servers are lovely always kind and always checking too see if we are good. The country potatoes were more like potato chips, real thin, crisp and bland, not at all a good option to Serve for breakfast. The eggs were real runny and there was an additional excess charge of $0.50 cents per egg in addition to the breakfast cost of $11.99. It was very deceiving because it was not explained nor was the additional cost shown right next to the breakfast selection cost. i haven't ever seen that a surcharge/excess charge at a restaurant before. The additional egg charge should have been included into the breakfast entree cost. The additional cost was only mentioned at the very bottom of the menu along with side orders. read more

I've heard incredible music and eaten unbelievably good food here. I have witnessed the staff demonstrate incredible patience with my ridiculously high maintenance family. The wait is worth it. I came to downtown Greer on a Monday evening with my family and 2 small dogs. We had plans to go to Blue Ridge. They were closed even though they advertise that they were open Mondays. Shame on them. We scrambled and walked up to this little gem of a place. Host was super welcoming and sat us outside since we had dogs. They even brought out a bowl of water for them, we didn't even ask. Waitress was just as nice. Had some good burgers and enjoyed the dinner. Give this place a shot if you're ever in the area. Good vibes. read more

Ok, service is amazing, Destiny was very friendly and knew just what I wanted. She literally picked out 3/4 of my meal. The food was great and had scratch made ingredients. This place has the makings of a gastropub in a little tiny SC town. I would drive an hour for their burger and banana pudding. The pudding is just like my grandma's and made with a custard. I loved every bit of it. You will enjoy the food and extensive beer selection. The new owners have had it for about 6 months. Come on and get ya some of the good stuff. read more

Great place. Had heard about it and went for the first time last week and had such a good experience ended up going again a few days ago. The atmosphere is casual and low key. Service is fantastic. Very attentive and super nice. Food is awesome. Both visits I had the same thing. The Fancy salad. So good. My husband had the hangover burger and loved it. Came in on Sunday, definitely a sports bar feel. Didn't really know what to expect food wise but we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered an appetizer of the potato skins and we both got the Sunday special meat and two. We both went with the chicken tenders and I got the Mac and cheese and the cornbread dressing my boyfriend got the broccoli and cheese rice casserole and Mac and cheese. The chicken tenders were out of this world. You can tell they hand bread them and they were seasoned great. The sides were decent they were out of his broccoli rice casserole which was a bummer but we both liked the Mac and cheese. Only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the service was terrible. The waitress forgot our appetizer of the potato skins, she blamed it on shift change but if she was paying attention when she came to tell us they were out of the casserole she would've noticed we hadn't gotten our appetizer yet. Once our food came out I let her know we didn't get it and she said they lost the ticket during shift change but would make them now. We were basically done with our food by the time they came out which she also never came to check on us then never came back after she gave us our late food. To be honest I thought she had transferred our table to the other girl working because we had no idea where she went. When she finally appeared we asked for a box and the check....sadly the lost appetizer wasn't even taken off our bill. We had to get out of there ASAP because the rain was coming in and we rode our motorcycle or I would've asked for the manager. You know this place really rocks and if you're looking for a job they definitely need some assistance it's usually packed as it was last night I had the chicken club which was absolutely amazing with fresh steamed broccoli and their homemade macaroni and cheese. Wish they had a larger selection of draft craft beers but what they have on tap is very good service is usually excellent and they treat you like family so we kind of made this our home restaurant where when we're downtown and can't decide what we want to eat. My sister and I go here probably about twice a month so yep we're regulars check it out you won't be disappointed. Go after church on Sunday they have an excellent selection for $899 meat and two to three vegetables. Everything is freshly prepared I haven't gotten anything that doesn't taste good except for the very first time we went and the cheese fries were just not that great but they've changed their menu. read more

We arrived at the brunch time today, 11:30. With 6 people in the restaurant, it took 4 minutes to be seated. The waitress was friendly and immediately brought water. There were about 10 items on the brunch menu. On the lunch menu was a pork chop, chicken, hamburger and 2 other meats and about 8 "vegetables" including broccoli and rice casserole in which I could find one piece of broccoli, cornbread dressing, cheese grits, green beans, and sweet potato casserole. I was accidentally given the cornbread dressing and told that it was broccoli casserole, but I asked the waitress to please check, and she did bring the broccoli casserole, which is yellow in the picture. The green beans appeared to be straight out of the can. All items were served at room temperature so if you desire warm food, you might need to request it. My husband got stuffed french toast that also had an egg in it, and you can imagine that a room temperature scrambled egg is not the best. The sweet potato fries served with it were the best thing either of us tasted, and that was a 5 out of 10. There are many good restaurants in Greer. This is not one. read more

Nice locals place. It is a bit noisy. But the food was excellent. We had fried pickles, pigs n a blanket with delicious homemade honey mustard Dippin sauce. I had Caribbean jerk shrimp tacos. I'm not sure why but the shrimp had the tails on. Kinda bummed about that but they were tasty. Pop got a burger, friend had a salad that came in a mason jar that you dumped out. Kinda cool. My wife had a potpie that she really liked. That young lady that took care of us was great. It's a restaurant/bar and grill. Lots of TVs with sports that were easy to see. Very nice place.
