In my opinion, the course design was meh, as most of the holes were straightforward with few obstacles, and the obstacles were not creative/themed, nor did they add an element of joy (such as a windmill or loop-de-loop). That said, I think the one hole that stands out is #16(?) where you intentionally putt the ball into the stream to have it come out next to the hole. I also wished there were more holes that provided adequate chances to get a hole-in-one, as even I, a seasoned mini-golfer (LOL), never got a hole-in-one on this course, even with several attempts on nearly every hole. Overall, I applaud the staff for the maintenance job, but wish there was more creativity in the holes.

A woman walked up & unlocked the doors for us, I just thought maybe it was for safety since it is located in a busy area. Good thing we had eaten before we went! So we pay for the baby to play in the jungle gym which was a very reasonable $5 maybe & $3 for mom to go in with him, she sold us a pair of socks for the baby $3, not bad at all. Even though he only went in once it's very dark and not too appealing. To play the arcade games you put $ on a reloadable card. The games go by points so each point is a quarter. There was plenty of seating area plenty of chairs & tables but just no people! :( I was kind of surprised for it being a Friday afternoon & summer time, no school for the kids. My grand baby immediately runs to the arcade games and they had lot's of toddler friendly rides for him which were all around 3 to 4 points. As we explored the other games I noticed a few broken ones, then as I really took a good look more & more were broken or missing parts. Even the air hockey was broken. I understand a few here & there but no it was a lot, I'm glad I didn't have my teenagers because they didn't have many options for that age group. The neighborhood it's located in is pretty rough so maybe parents just let their kids tear up the place over the years:( Not too sure but I really feel bad for this company. My toddler grandson enjoyed himself, it was pretty reasonable priceI would definitely take him back to play games if it stays in business.

It's a fairly reasonable place to go on hot summer afternoon. The kids spent an hour running around a large playscape. It always makes me pleased to see them come back to the table nice and sweaty for a drink. We got a pizza which wasn't too bad and a hot dog which he ate all of, so it must have been pretty good too. Then they got to play games and win coupons for "prizes". They each went through a $10 "game card" pretty quickly, but got to pick things they wanted. Although this place isn't squeaky clean, the staff were exceptionally nice. It wasn't terribly packed either, which is great for places like this. During the last 45 minutes unfortunately there was one little girl who was able to scream so loud (and frequently) that I jumped almost every time she let out one of her frequent squeals of joy. Can't blame that on anyone but the parents though and it's rare they'd do anything about it at a place like this.

You'll find plenty of shade trees and two water stations along with some nonalcoholic drink options. There's no food truck on site, but they do offer a charcuterie board and I was told you can now bring your own grub (still might want to call and confirm though). At the bar inside you'll find a listing of their ciders including some guest taps that rotate. There's two unisex bathrooms near the bar and two sinks on the outside where everyone can watch you wash your hands. It should be mentioned that there is one oddity about this property and that is the small McCuistian family cemetery just a few hundred feet west of the driveway (see separate review). And if that cemetery is not enough to get your attention, the huge Live Oak cemetery is directly next-door with over a thousand graves to peruse through (yes, I reviewed that one too). So if you're looking for a place that produces high-quality craft cider and enjoy the rustic Hill country setting, this is it. Star Hill Ranch looks like a little cowboy western town. Something straight out of a western tv movie. With little buildings, a small church, and a gorgeous back drop. Stage in the back, and lawn, and the hills and trees behind the stage. Old Ford trucks. Just the most picturesque back drop for any event. Truly is the most Texas scenery I've seen. The mac & grilled cheese event was spectacular. So many samples and so much fun. Gorgeous day to start out with. All the venders were delightful. Explaining their sample dish. Some used cheese that I've never heard of. Some using my personal favorite cheese and some of the most inventive toppings. Flaming hot Cheetos, green onions, pickled onions, pickles, just so creative outside the standard mac & cheese. No Kraft box in sight at this event! Event itself was very well organized. A speaker came on a few times and asked how everyone was doing, getting the crowd of people pumped up. Making sure everyone was informed throughout. A lot of crew members walking around too to answer questions and guiding people to the right areas. There were some tables overlooking the gorgeous back drop of the mountains and stage. Everywhere was a photograph moment. I would absolutely go back next year. I would probably get the VIP tickets verses the general addition. The VIP gets you into lounges and an hour earlier into the event.

After 9 years of dating, We decided on a "elopement" but near by. Like a staycation but getting…read moremarried :). After googling drive through weddings in Austin trying to find something similar to Vegas, I came across this little white chapel. The photos are just as cute as in person and the couple who officiate are the absolute sweetest. They make the moment special but also light hearted and friendly. We upgraded to go in instead of drive through and I am so glad I did. She took great photos with our phone (you can also upgrade that too, to professional photos). There are several packages to chose from with even more upgrades if you like. They are adding on to the back and it is looking super cute if you want an evening wedding with lights outside etc. The airstream they have is super cool too. Overall such a wonderful experience and I am so glad we found this little treasure hidden in the hill country hills.
