Came to Wakesurf Saloon and honestly? This place gets it. Such a fun, high-energy spot whether…read moreyou're coming to watch a game, hang with friends, play games, or fully commit to karaoke main-character energy The vibe is laid-back but lively--perfect for group hangs or spontaneous nights out. There's always something going on, so you're never bored. Now let's talk drinks because WOW. The drinks are delicious, and my absolute favorite was the Cherry Limeade--so refreshing, perfectly balanced, and dangerously easy to sip.

I wanted to like this place, but it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The TVs…read moreare pretty subpar, yet it feels like plenty of money has been spent on everything except improving the customer experience. The bartenders weren't very friendly or welcoming, which didn't help the atmosphere. The place was uncomfortably hot. They keep the garage doors open, but it doesn't seem like the air conditioning is doing much, if anything. On top of that, the crowd was pretty trashy and not the type of environment I'd want to spend an evening in. The bathrooms were another major issue. They looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time and smelled strongly of urine. My wife said the women's restroom was especially disgusting and in need of serious attention. There's also no food served, which makes it hard to justify staying for any length of time. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place.

BUT, everything goes down hill when the food and and servers are horrible. The food super cold and the servers were cold as well. Servers didn't pick up salad plates when serving entrees. They just told us to put it aside or they put entree plate on top of dirty plate. This type of service ruins your upscale venue. All of our food was cold, the chicken, veggies and bread were iced cold. I wouldn't do an event here knowing how it is. The only positive besides view and location was the bartender. Lori was amazing and very serviceable. Her attitude and customer service was on point. But for sure. I works recommend this place unless is just for pictures.

The venue is under new ownership now but I had worked with Benita throughout my planning and she has been amazing throughout the whole process. I also added on day of coordinator service and Benita took care of all the details so that I can relax and enjoy my wedding. Out of all the venues I looked at, The Terrace was the most affordable for my budget and I didn't need to worry about table or chair rentals. They have a kitchen, walk-in fridge, and regular freezer so you have access to set-up in the back or early off of supplies. It was also a great help that they had some decors available, so I didn't have to worry about spending extra for this. Overall, I really liked the space and how convenient it was to have the ceremony and reception in one location. There is a room where you can get ready or hang out before the wedding, but the lighting is pretty dim. Venue is about a 45 minute drive from Austin, but the drive is scenic and nice. A big thank you also to Kristi and James for helping setting up, cleaning up, and picking up the catering for my wedding.

By all accounts, the owners…read moreare wonderful, worked well with our staff, and most of the veggies in the food they grow themselves. Which is wonderful to know. We had veggie and chicken tikka masala, as well as a cashew quinoa salad. All FANTASTIC, fresh, delicious, and clearly healthy. The veggie tikka had quinoa, and both dishes were full of delicious fresh veggies, including brussels sprouts, green beans, cauliflower, carrots, squash, and more. The chicken was tender and delicious, and the sauce flavorful, but not overpowering the food at all. The vegan brownies I initially resisted trying (because . . . vegan brownies?). But actually they were very good, extremely moist, and tasty. I wish there was a restaurant. But in the meantime, I sure hope we get them catered in again. OFTEN.

I think I need a unique option for a group of friends... or my office party. Or I really want to be a part of a really cool dinner evening in the middle of herb and vegetable gardens... it's pretty cool when we walk through the gardens and pick what we eat. Really. I've done quite a few events at the SicolaGardenHouse... both as guest of other events as well as hosting my own. And they have it all. I'm always looking for conversation points and unique options when it comes to dining... whether I'm considering a special evening for family, for networking, for friends, for colleagues, or for a date. I call Sarah up, she asks me what I'm looking to do... she remembers what I've done in the past, and then she helps me make the perfect event. The food is absolutely amazing... better than I've had at most 5-star restaurants. I've traveled the world and nearly the entire country. I've yet to find a dining destination as cool as the Sicola Garden House. You don't have to have all the answers (Sarah will help you), you just have to call. And the Sicola's remind me I can bring my favorite bottle of wine :) Excited for my next event!

#WhereAreLoveyAndMillieHowlNow #sunoutdoorslaketravis…read more We are on a year long trip throughout the continental United States in an RV and thought it might be helpful if we added reviews of places we've gone or stayed from a dogs perspective. So here we go The humans booked us right outside of Austin, Tx at the Sun Outdoors Lake Travis RV park and we have to say we give this place 's from a dog perspective one of the things we loved the most were the 3 dog parks, so space for all of us regardless of personalities. Each dog park has a few big trees for shade, picnic bench for the humans to sit & bags and trash close by. While there are no jungle gyms for us to play on, we are ok with that as that gives us more room to run off the crazies. Also no water bowls @ 2 of the parks, but the largest did have a water bowl along with a doggie wash station The park had nice wide roads throughout so the humans can walk us and if there are any other dogs, each can pick a side of the road if needed! Also a nice off road walking path. RV site - nice and enough room between RVs so you don't feel on top of your neighbor. Usually a tree or two per site, picnic table, and grass at our site. Only downside, no fire pit but it was warm out so we didn't really miss it. Humans are happy tho, 50amp service, great water pressure, and sewer available at each site AND daily trash pick up RV park - nice wide roads, no low overhanging branches, gravel site but level enough and enough room for a 42' trailer + truck Took about 20-40 mins to get to downtown Austin depending on traffic. Pool and jacuzzi for the humans, along with a airstream cafe at the pool! also a gym and a clubhouse, again for humans We would definitely stay here again, everyone was nice and the park was kept in great condition #bringfido
