Spacious and clean. Modern design. Good place for events like holiday markets, etc. Employees are super friendly and helpful.

My family and I attended the Austin Lowrider car show here. Parking was a breeze, and I was especially pleased that they offered free parking to disabled veterans with Disabled Veteran plates. I highly recommend not leaving any valuables in your vehicles. We noticed some suspicious activity as we were leaving, but the Travis County Sheriffs were attentive when I reported it. I have to say, we were a bit disappointed with the car show. It was expensive, and the show itself was quite small compared to other car shows I've been to in the DFW and Austin areas. There was also a tattoo event happening at the same time as the lowrider car show. We kind of wished they had combined the two events to create a better overall experience.

On Dec 29th, I came to this venue to watch The Austin Symphony for the 1st time. The Symphony was excellent! This was the first time I went to venue and found the space to be large enough to have a variety of events here. The mixed beverages were rather pricey (I paid $19.00 which included a tip for a double gin and tonic). There is ample parking in the parking lot adjacent to the venue for $8.00; however disabled Veteran parking is free of charge. However, the bartenders were extremely pleasant.

It's the perfect place for an expo. I've been to about four events at this location and no matter how busy and it appears on the outside, it always feels quite spacious and organized on the inside. There is plenty of garage parking at a flat rate of $8/car, and the venue itself is large and clean, with plenty of clean restrooms inside. Though I have encountered a few pushy and ill-mannered staff members at times, the friendly staff members and fun expos more than make up for the short-lived negativity. A few events I've attended were: College Fair- so many schools were there to represent and chat with perspective students. I highly recommend attending this exciting event with your college-bound teen. Bridal Extravaganza- every bride-to-be should go to at least one bridal extravaganza! Perfect for the whole bridal party, or just you and your groom. There are so many vendors who can provide you with unique and fun ideas for your wedding. They even have a runway show! By the way, go hungry, leave stuffed. My now husband enjoyed the catering and wedding cake vendors the most. City Wide Garage Sale- booths and tables galore! It's a garage sale as big as Texas, y'all. Neat stuff, good prices. Fun to just go and look! I recommend going at least once. Once was enough for me. The Austin Marathon Packet Pickup Expo- I volunteered to work one of the packet pickup booths. As someone who has participated in a handful of fun-runs (marathon runners, I salute you), this was the most streamlined and organized packet pickup I've seen! The expo itself was full of athletic gear, accessories and fun giveaways and freebies.

I enjoy exhibiting at the Palmer because of the ease in moving in and not having to pay for parking. It is very customer friendly. The location is also great as it is located on Barton Springs Road. The staff is very friendly. The facility itself is very clean.

This place is great for a lot of events. It is not that big so there is no need for binoculars to see activity. You can easily be right down at the action. The bathrooms are good, kept clean and there is ample parking at a cost of course. Food and drink costs are a bit high as at most venues. I attended the Austin Record Convention recently and it was a perfect fit. I have actually been coming here for years and watched many changes. Works. That is what is important.

The building is really nicely maintained, the restrooms were clean, and the facility was well-kept as far as the landscaping outside and the detailed exterior designs that need to be taken care of. The building had a lot of wood work and stone work that seemed to need regular maintenance but none of this seemed like it was neglected. The only reason I give them a minus two stars is the fact that after all the above compliments that I mentioned, their provided garage parking lot was actually not kept in the same condition as the building itself. It was really dirty, old and not taken care of. The staircase had rust, trash, leaves, and all sorts of other stuff along with a weird smell. I honestly feel that if you are wanting to take care of a building then the parking lot should be taken care of just as much.

I saw the Austin Symphony perform a show here. The exterior of the building impresses me, so I was anxious to get a glimpse at the interior. Unfortunately, I wasn't as blown away by the inside. The space is enormous - high ceilings and a long seating area. In the back, facing the stage, were bleachers where I made myself as comfortable as possible (I'm cheap). Sitting in what would be equivalent to the nosebleeds at a baseball stadium was fine at first because we were right in front of the beverage counters. Despite the easy access to alcohol, we couldn't see a thing and the acoustics weren't wonderful. We worked our way up front to do a little dancing and suddenly the symphony was sounding a heck of a lot better. It was like walking into where the other half lives... Drink prices were moderate, staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, a decent venue, but nothing memorable. The space wasn't as magical as I had imagined, but it serves its purpose for concerts, expos, community events, etc. I think I prefer the more comfortable seating of Bass Concert Hall, but I suppose we are lucky to have such a place to welcome our visitors to Austin. Palmer Events may be worth a visit, depending on your reason for dropping by.

The center it self was very beautiful and clean, but the cooler thing was the show I went to here. I saw the Texas roller derby here and it was an amazing show, one of the coolest things I have ever seen. I recommend coming here for whatever they have going on, but if you have the opportunity to see the roller derby match you have to go.

Visited this event center for a work staff development day of more than 300 people. Parking was right next to the bundling which was convenient for its proximity to downtown. Food was provided by the event center and it was delicious and kept hot. We had bacon, sausage, eggs, fruit, coffee, and tea. There was plenty of space for such a large crowd.. Bathrooms were clean and close to main event room. I will advise you to bring a sweater it was chilly inside the building. If you go upstairs to the second floor they have a balcony with seating. I was able to capture this amazing view of Austin.

I'm…read moreholding a star since we received an email saying we got our deposit back Aug 12th and I still haven't seen the funds in my account- but besides that issue it's definitely got a 5 star rating! We actually got married a month prior in MA, but needed to celebrate the occasion with all our friends who live here with us in TX. This event space was perfect for a party on a budget. The view- I mean, come ON, was just incredible, and the backdrop for everyone's photos! People could not stop talking about how phenomenal it was. The process of getting the place was a bit tricky, as I could not navigate their government website to select the date and missed the cut-off time before having to do the lottery. Luckily, not a lot of people were begging for dates in August as the venue does not have air conditioning- so the heat was a bit brutal (but that's Texas!)- but we got it no problem! I ended up calling and the person I spoke to was very helpful. Speaking of air conditioning- or lack-there-of- we ended up renting some swamp coolers (huge cooling fans that run off of ice- but a LOT of ice!!) to help with the heat. There are ceiling fans and a few industrial fans included- but those don't help too much in August! I had a hard time figuring out what exactly we needed- so I'm going to add a quick "plug" for Preferred Climate Solutions our of Hutto, TX. They worked ZPC before and knew how to set things up. Brett even had an extra swamp cooler from an earlier event he let us use. Moving on- because this place doesn't require use of specific vendors- it made it that much affordable. We hired Slab BBQ to cater and Pixster photo booth for fun. For drinks, we filled out the necessary paperwork (some cheap $10ish permit? I can't quite remember) and we're able to just bring in a few kegs and boxes of wine from PartyBarn. Everything went off without a hitch! Good to note- the place provides a bunch of tables. Two huge round ones, a few smaller round and rectangle ones, and some nice cocktail tables we used on the patio. (The cocktail tables and one rectangular were good enough condition to go without tablecloths- the rest require coverings.) For lighting- it was definitely important to us to get string lights on the patio. I realized last minute that getting a few hundred feet of lights was going to be trickier than I initially thought- since I had to consider ones that connected and could manage the power of 300 ft of lights. I used Americanpartylights.com- it worked out great! They included zip ties which is important since it's against the park rules to use tape (holds better anyways.) I found a great diagram of ZPC patio for the light arrangements and measurements (photo included.) It was a perfect celebration and I HIGHLY recommend this space for any event! It has such a cool vibe even without decorations, your set up can be minimal and still look amazing. Plus... that VIEW!

The venue itself has a lively, open feel with an urban backyard vibe and plenty of space to move around, mingle, and actually take in the installation without feeling crowded. What stood out most was how well the space complemented the event. The layout made it easy to engage with the installation while still enjoying the social vibe. They had space for working virtually as well as displays to test some of the technology. There's a nice balance between indoor comfort and that signature rooftop-style setting, which gives it a relaxed but elevated feel. The staff was friendly and kept things running smoothly, and the overall setup felt thoughtfully organized. Whether you were there to focus on the installation or just take it in casually, the environment supported both. The line was somewhat long to get into the event as it was at capacity and could only allow more people as people were leaving the event. I was given a drink ticket and got to try the Patio Pounder with ilegal mezcal, primo aperitivo, tropical citrus, coconut, grapefruit soda. The bartender was efficient even though the lines were long. The cocktail was enjoyable with the balance of smoky and citrus flavors. They also had a variety of food bites available including chips and queso. creamy street corn, and sliders. The food was gone relatively quickly due to the crowds but it would be replenished periodically. Overall, Upstairs at Caroline proved to be a solid venue for a creative SXSW event versatile, welcoming, and very on-brand for Austin's arts and tech scene.
