The venue is bright, well-lit, and well equipped. Parking is convenient, and the community manager who answers the main phone line, is outstanding: professional, accommodating, and by far the most helpful person I dealt with. Unfortunately, the management and operations make the experience frustrating. Communication is excellent before booking, but after payment, the tone shifts to constant nickel-and-diming. A $500/$600 per hour (if rented hourly) is charged even when only one staff member is on-site, doing little more than being present. The drinks package, presented as mandatory, offered low-quality options by default, and getting better selections approved became unnecessarily difficult. Requests for bar supply details were met with incomplete information and a dismissive attitude. The event director is essentially unreachable, despite having a listed phone number. On one occasion, after staff connected me to her, I overheard saying she didn't want to speak with me since she did not know she was on speaker phone. This after I had spent $7,000 on the venue. Staff have openly said that management prioritizes revenue over guest experience due to financial struggles and potential closure. The space itself was not properly cleaned before my event. Plants were dying, trash was outside (which I had to pick up myself), and overall upkeep felt neglected. The initial walk-through was warm and welcoming, but that hospitality disappeared once the contract was signed. In short: beautiful venue, poor management practices, rude and disrespectful management. I'd consider recommending or returning ONLY if there were a change in leadership and a genuine focus on customer experience and overall upkeep. read more

I was called a "faggot" by a staff member. I was a member of their co-work space for ~5 years. This place used to be about providing entrepreneurs with an inviting space to get business done... But it seems their business model has changed. Now, they push co-working out at random times during the work week in lieu of commercial video shoots in the space. I had happened to drop my daughter's car off for new brakes - Came to the Vuka space for a morning full of meetings - Only to find that the space was hosting a production. I missed the memo they sent out, because I was traveling for work the week before. And I was simply trying to take my client calls. But a staff member opens the door on me, mid-meeting. Gets aggressive. Calls me a "faggot." And pushes me off the property (like chases me out into the the street). I am a normal person. I have kids. I own a business with employees. I don't think I would be in business if something like this occurred with one of my team members. read more

The ATX Asian Food Fest 5/29/2022 held at VUKA was fabulous! There was a great turn out. Parking was a little challenging. You could find a wonderful selection of food & drinks vendors, like Moi Vietnamese grill. Mom & Pops popsicles. Connor's creamery. Garbo's. Ding tea. Citrus refreshments. Weh? Asian fusion. Shoyu Sugar is Hawaiian grill and a favorite amongst visitors. Boba bites and tea, had their very first event and are in the process of opening their shop soon. A business to be continued, as I love their teas! Dash realty was there too with a bean bag toss, giving out balloons and candy. Cutco with their knives. Ten thousand villages had some beautiful fair trade goodies. All vendors had quite a long line. Moi's customers faced a long time in the burning Sun, but Asians love food! Weh? Sold out within 2 hours! The DJ's supplied great vibes inside the VUKA building, which is modern, spacious, air-conditioned, a great place for events. It hosted the space for a Limbo race, and crafting paper fans by 'open eyes beyond border' for the Lil' ones. The event would take place all day, and it is a hot day. A great event! The dragon dance was very much entertaining. People had their dollar bills ready! Oh, how we love to feed the dragon to get luck and prosperity! Yes, yes, Chinese dragons are believed to have control over water, rain, hurricanes and floods. They also represent power, strength and good luck. The Chinese believe that performing the dragon dance during festivals and celebrations drives away evil spirits and ushers in good luck and blessings for the community. read more

I've been a member here since earlier this year. It is a great coworking space. I only use it periodically, but the facilities are always clean and the kitchen area is nice. D'andre is nice and accommodating. When needed, communication with members has been fast (ie: a water main busted on the street out front and then had to shut down the water so no flushing, etc.) read more

I was here to use the shared co-working space while traveling. The space itself is lovely, filled with light and has all the amenities you'd want from a workspace -- coffee, meeting rooms, etc. Staff is friendly and chill. read more

Was there for a wedding. The ladies restroom was atrocious! One toilet wouldn't flush & was brimming with toilet paper & urine. The next stall had no toilet paper except for small pieces on the floor. The trash container was overflowing with paper towels. I complained to the staff but when I went in an hour or so later it was the same. The acoustics were such that you couldn't hear anyone across the table, most of us could not hear the ceremony itself (even though there were microphones). Would not recommend it. read more
