We've been here so many times, I tried to order something I don't usually order from Mexican Restaurant -- a hamburger. I loved it! I sat at the bar and had a Patio Burger and a Modeli Negra followed by a nice sipping tequila. It was all wonderful. The Patio Burger has bacon, ham, jalapeño and grilled pineapple. The meat had a nice char flavor. The bun was perfect. The flavors melded together and I just really enjoyed it. The fries it came with were perfect, too. This is now my favorite burger in the area! The bartender took great care of me. The game was on the big screen. The Latino music was upbeat and hip. The vibe is great as always. We just really love this place! read more

Santo Patio - Patio Burger :-) - Mexican Near Me - Del Valle, Texas

If you are staying at Lost Pines Santo Patio is a great alternative to the one bar/restaurant. Maud's has an indoor full service bar and an outdoor patio that serves a limited menu. Management brought in an artist from Mexico to paint beautiful murals highlighting the Day of the Dead. The queso and fajitas were excellent. Santo Patio's Happy Hour is from 3:00-6:00. The house margaritas are 1/2 price. Everything else is the regular price. Our server, J, said she was new to Santo Patio, but I would not have known. She was very helpful and super friendly. We will ask for her again. read more

The perfect stop before getting to lost pines. They have BARBACOA, and they serve it with the most deli salsa, spicy and not spicy both types. The place looks great for big groups like work outings and family events. The detail of bringing everything out on a tray no matter how small it was, like creamer, or more lime, FANTASTIC. I believe her name was Araceli and she was wonderful, def worth driving 15 mins from Elgin to here read more

It's a drive to get here from where we are from. Is it worth it? The answer: HECK YA!! This place of business is great. Been coming here for quite some time and what I love to get here is the Pork Chop. It's grilled to PERFECTIONNNnnnnnn.... It's been consistent every time and the Steak Fajitas are marinated, tender and cooked and comes in sizzling. The aroma by the time it reaches the table to be devoured, y'all just need to experience it hehehee. The cocktails I must say are on point. The bartenders here know what they're doing for sure. And as far as the staff, they're all great. To the owner and manager, thank u for this great place!!! read more

We came in with our extended family for a late lunch /snack after visiting the nearby Dino Park and were promptly and cordially welcomed in. It's a large space, great for groups, and it's nice there is a kids menu option. We started with water all around, plus Mexican cokes and a paloma. We shared seafood tostada, chips n guacamole, wings, and chicken flautas. Everything came out hot, fresh, and nicely seasoned. We have two gluten free folks in the group and there were plenty of corn based options. The tostadas come with three and were nice and fresh, I was a little hesitant when it said mayo, but there was just a bit to get the shrimp and imitation crab to stick together. Turned out the kids loved the wings - we tried the citrus pepper and Austin amber bbq flavors. The chicken inside the flautas was tender and we enjoyed the cabbage, onion, carrot slaw to bring a fresh crunch. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

Nice stop in Del Valle. Just a stones throw outside of Austin. Great Mexican restaurant/sports bar. Friendly service with lots of room to bring all of your friends. The Pulpo cocktail was fantastic! It seemed like a neverending bowl of octopus swimming in a slightly sweet and spicy tomato sauce. Will be back to try some more with friends! read more

Decided to try SP for late meal on Saturday. Most places in the area close early and we didn't want to be rushed. Nearly 9pm and there were quite a few patrons inside. Music was loud and lively. I realized that the "live music" is sourced by a DJ; good vibe if you're hanging out with friends. Service was efficient -- we were seated, served and closed the check out in about 30 mins. My strawberry margarita tasted good but lacked spirit. Pasole was ok. The quesabirria and street tacos were great! read more

The volume of noise is too loud. It was so loud that you could not talk to the person sitting right next to you.

Same great food and service, but on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights the DJ is crazy loud. You can't have a discussion unless you yell. Turn it down please! read more

Cool vibes, good food, decent prices. My husband got wings and really liked them, good size and flavor. Service was good, she check in on us was patient when our party was late. Oh and clean restrooms. We were surprised we liked it because there has been 3 different restaurants at this exact location and I have visited for every restaurant but Santo Patio is by far my favorite. Will be visiting again! read more

My Mom and I are always looking for a new breakfast spot in between Bastrop and Austin. Santo Patio will now be our meeting spot! The staff is super nice y hablan espanol, the restaurant is huge with fun decor, very spacious with lively music and the food is delicious. We started with a Americano Cafe and Cortado. For espresso lovers go with the Cortado. I just had to add a packet of sugar and was good. For our entrees we went with the Migas Plate and Mole Enchiladas. We arrived at 10 am and they were serving breakfast along with the whole menu. I'm picky with my mole and this one has a great flavor. Large portions as well. For dessert we shared a flan which was divine. We took some tacos and pozole to go. Tacos were very heavily packed. The Pozole could use a little more flavor, but wasn't bad. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! read more

We Enjoyed the Birrias Tacos immensely. The enchiladas verdes were delicious, with a good amount of chicken in them. Their tomatillo sauce was "warmer" than expected for this Gringa, but overall, this is a place I would definitely recommend. read more

This area is a food desert. Fortunately, this restaurant is an oasis. The parking lot is humongous. The staff are friendly, and there is plenty of seating, including a semi private room toward the bank. It is rather loud, especially on game day. The menu offers an array of authentic Mexican food. Everything is hot fresh and delicious. The margaritas and cocktails aretop-notch. Highly recommended. read more

It is an easy get to spot when traveling 71 to I10 ...I had the chicken "flautas. They were excellent

So glad Santo Patio is in our area and they seem to be prospering. We have lived out here for years now and seen a few restaurants come and go in that space but it seems like they are here to stay! It's a large space with lots of seating. There is an outdoor area that's open now with TVs and a whole extra bar area where it looked like a family had reserved the space for a birthday party. We went on a Friday night and it was busy but there seemed to be just as many staff working as patrons eating. Service was astounding, very attentive and friendly. Ordered chips salsa and guac to start- salsa was warm and had a little kick at the end, guac was fresh and tasty. Husband got the enchiladas verde and I got the flautas. Portions were very generous and both were delicious (see photos). Menu is small enough to not be overwhelming but lots of various options. Only negative I would say was that the music was a little too loud for my liking. We will continue to give Santo Patio our service! read more

This place is rather close to the house and was a good find. Place is big, clean and is very sports friendly...and the food was pretty dang good. We started with the Quesobirria, Chips and Salsa....The Queso was very good, but Extremely small for the price...Chips were fresh but we were lost at the salsa...Served warm it was nothing more then juice...really no way to "scoop" to eat....literally the only way to finish the salsa would be to drink it...And the fact they actually charged $5 for chips and "salsa" is kinda crazy....we have been to Hundreds of Mexican restaurants where this is complimentary...So a total of $16 for a Very small Queso, chips and Salsa....As for the rest of the food...dam good and priced accordingly....Wife had the Flautas with rice on the side...and for white rice its flavor popped...I went with the Trio Taco plate...One each of Pastor, Carnitas and Bistec...they were all delicious and the green salsa was the perfect topping. Beans were solid as well. We truly like this place...but one of our goto staples is the Queso, Chips and Salsa when we try new Mexican joints...so our adventures will take us in another direction. read more

Average food. Limited menu. Poor service. The quessabirria tacos were fair. But the rice was horrid. You know the food is going to be mid when you see carrots and peas in the rice. The real issue was our server Jessica. We waited and waited. For a take out box. For Jessica to chat up all the other servers. For Jessica to sit at a table and visit with her friends. To see her walk by our table a half dozen times. We waited for the check. We spent more time waiting than we did eating. No excuse for this kind of service. read more

I am extremely disappointed by the treatment my husband and I received at Santo Patio, especially after being loyal customers since the restaurant opened. I have always enjoyed their food and have even brought family and friends to this place, so this experience was both shocking and upsetting. I specifically wanted an order of their tortilla chips, which I really enjoy, so my husband went in to order some. The staff said they didn't know how to ring up an order of just chips and could only charge him for "chips and salsa," which was perfectly fine with us. Naturally, he expected to receive both items if that's what he was paying for. However, instead of simply handling the request, the "manager" Humberto, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He mocked my husband for wanting to order just chips, he told him he "could have gone to a gas station," and made comments implying that my husband was trying to get free food, even saying they "weren't a charity" and had "employees to pay." The condescending tone and attitude were completely unnecessary and extremely disappointing. All unprovoked. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that after my husband left the restaurant, the manager actually stood outside the front door and watched him walk to the car and continued watching us as we drove away. It felt intimidating and completely out of line for someone representing a business. As soon as my husband was back in the car I asked why that man was standing there watching us and my husband explained what had just happened. We have supported Santo Patio from the beginning, left positive reviews in the past, and brought many people here. To be treated this way over something as simple as ordering chips was honestly horrific. Customer service matters, and no loyal customer or any customer should ever be spoken to or treated the way my husband was. read more

One of our favorite places! If you leave hungry, completely your fault! Service is great, and the beer is COLD!! The Quesabirrias are the best!! We go just for that (and the beer is as cold as your ex's heart)! It has a sports bar feeling, with games on all the big screen TVs that line the walls. Great service and delicious food. Pork chop can be tricky but I thought this was well cooked (not dry and nice smokey flavor). The chips were served warm and the salsa was spot on. Chicken was juicy and seasoned well. The best fajitas I've had so far here in ATX Shrimp ceviche- husband couldn't stop talking about it. Food and service are amazing... I've eaten here a few times and I've never gotten anything except the quesabirria tacos, they are that good! Tonight I tried the Espresso Martini: made with freshly made espresso. Then some sort of magic happened because what I had in front of me was a champagne flat, filled with a dark brown luscious looking base topped with a rich full flavored foam!!! It was garnished with 3 espresso beans... can I just say I've never had an espresso martini like this...they have always been filled with Bailey's or something else super sweet and milky... or used a canned espresso.... This was in a completely different realm of cocktails. The coffee had a touch of sweetness covered by that amazing foam I wish I had taken a picture but I couldn't wait to taste it!!! read more

Food was subpar, the service was okay and the vibe was great. I would not drive out of my way for their food, I got the mole enchiladas and they were so bland, the chicken wasn't seasoned and it relied to much on the sauce. read more

The food here was awesome, great flavor! I'm from San Antonio so I wasn't expecting the quesa-Birria to be all that great but I was very surprised it was really good! I'd get that one again next time I'm craving something like that. The service was great as well, not super attentive but attentive enough so I'd still give it a good rating. The ambiance was a vibe inside, the music was just a tad bit on the loud side so it was hard to have conversation. Other than that, it was a great experience and I will definitely be going back to try another plate out! read more

This is our 3rd time at Santo Patio and the food is consistently outstanding! My favorite, so far, is Beef Fajita tacos, but the Quesabirria ranks a very close second. Hubby loves the burgers, too. Apps: the salsa is served warm. It's delicious but the temp might be a surprise. The granichas (sp?) app was good after we added the jalapeños (a little bland otherwise). All tortillas are fresh!! Service is very attentive and they aim to please. (Note, many servers speak little or no English, but we either figured it out or an English-speaker arrived at the table to help--they're really nice!). Lots of TVs going and music is pretty loud. Sports bar sort of ambiance with way better food!! Come over and enjoy!! read more

East of Austin, on HWY 71. A brand spanking new structure with a lot of Hill country influence. The smoke will draw up and in before you know it. Not in a real aggressive way, but in an oh-what's-this?, kind of way. If you park on the north side of Santo Patio, you'll walk around to the west side entrance. There's a ramp on the north side of the building that looks like an entrance, but wasn't that day for several patrons, myself included. Food... We were saying adios to one of our work compadres. It was quiet at the lunch hour. We were seamlessly seated with plates, utensils, napkins, menus and water. Our order included hamburgers (thick patty with ample cheese), fries, wings, quesadillas, appetizers included guacamole. salsa, chips, little masa boat, meat and cabbage picadillo. I asked our waitress about a dish (meat empanadas) which she said was no longer available. At her suggestion I ordered the spicy pork chop. It came well grilled, juicy and tender. Sides were frijoles en bola and some grilled veggies. Flavorful and tender. So... A gesture of kindness and yes, entrepreneurship, which is rare and precious in my eyes, was the empanadas made specially for us. Thank you and much love to all read more

I ordered 2 shrimp tacos and a mushroom taco, I highly recommend trying the mushroom tacos as they had great flavor. She ordered the fajitas, she mentioned they were great & ate them all.
