    Great space!

The perfect stop before getting to lost pines. They have BARBACOA, and they serve it with the most deli salsa, spicy and not spicy both types. The place looks great for big groups like work outings and family events. The detail of bringing everything out on a tray no matter how small it was, like creamer, or more lime, FANTASTIC. I believe her name was Araceli and she was wonderful, def worth driving 15 mins from Elgin to here

Nice stop in Del Valle. Just a stones throw outside of Austin. Great Mexican restaurant/sports bar. Friendly service with lots of room to bring all of your friends. The Pulpo cocktail was fantastic! It seemed like a neverending bowl of octopus swimming in a slightly sweet and spicy tomato sauce. Will be back to try some more with friends!

Literally the best steak I've ever had from a restaurant. Delicious. Will be back when in Austin.

Birria de res tacos with consume, salsa verde and rice. In the background is the beef mole enchiladas. The best!

Same great food and service, but on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights the DJ is crazy loud. You can't have a discussion unless you yell. Turn it down please!

Decided to try SP for late meal on Saturday. Most places in the area close early and we didn't want to be rushed. Nearly 9pm and there were quite a few patrons inside. Music was loud and lively. I realized that the "live music" is sourced by a DJ; good vibe if you're hanging out with friends. Service was efficient -- we were seated, served and closed the check out in about 30 mins. My strawberry margarita tasted good but lacked spirit. Pasole was ok. The quesabirria and street tacos were great!

Cool vibes, good food, decent prices. My husband got wings and really liked them, good size and flavor. Service was good, she check in on us was patient when our party was late. Oh and clean restrooms. We were surprised we liked it because there has been 3 different restaurants at this exact location and I have visited for every restaurant but Santo Patio is by far my favorite. Will be visiting again!

My Mom and I are always looking for a new breakfast spot in between Bastrop and Austin. Santo Patio will now be our meeting spot! The staff is super nice y hablan espanol, the restaurant is huge with fun decor, very spacious with lively music and the food is delicious. We started with a Americano Cafe and Cortado. For espresso lovers go with the Cortado. I just had to add a packet of sugar and was good. For our entrees we went with the Migas Plate and Mole Enchiladas. We arrived at 10 am and they were serving breakfast along with the whole menu. I'm picky with my mole and this one has a great flavor. Large portions as well. For dessert we shared a flan which was divine. We took some tacos and pozole to go. Tacos were very heavily packed. The Pozole could use a little more flavor, but wasn't bad. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

2nd time ordering take out from Santo Patio. We like it! Love the quesabirra tacos and consome from here! The food tastes fresh! Wish the rice was more Spanish/mexican style and not fried rice style with corn.

This area is a food desert. Fortunately, this restaurant is an oasis. The parking lot is humongous. The staff are friendly, and there is plenty of seating, including a semi private room toward the bank. It is rather loud, especially on game day. The menu offers an array of authentic Mexican food. Everything is hot fresh and delicious. The margaritas and cocktails aretop-notch. Highly recommended.

So glad Santo Patio is in our area and they seem to be prospering. We have lived out here for years now and seen a few restaurants come and go in that space but it seems like they are here to stay! It's a large space with lots of seating. There is an outdoor area that's open now with TVs and a whole extra bar area where it looked like a family had reserved the space for a birthday party. We went on a Friday night and it was busy but there seemed to be just as many staff working as patrons eating. Service was astounding, very attentive and friendly. Ordered chips salsa and guac to start- salsa was warm and had a little kick at the end, guac was fresh and tasty. Husband got the enchiladas verde and I got the flautas. Portions were very generous and both were delicious (see photos). Menu is small enough to not be overwhelming but lots of various options. Only negative I would say was that the music was a little too loud for my liking. We will continue to give Santo Patio our service!

    Interior...very sports friendly

This place is rather close to the house and was a good find. Place is big, clean and is very sports friendly...and the food was pretty dang good. We started with the Quesobirria, Chips and Salsa....The Queso was very good, but Extremely small for the price...Chips were fresh but we were lost at the salsa...Served warm it was nothing more then juice...really no way to "scoop" to eat....literally the only way to finish the salsa would be to drink it...And the fact they actually charged $5 for chips and "salsa" is kinda crazy....we have been to Hundreds of Mexican restaurants where this is complimentary...So a total of $16 for a Very small Queso, chips and Salsa....As for the rest of the food...dam good and priced accordingly....Wife had the Flautas with rice on the side...and for white rice its flavor popped...I went with the Trio Taco plate...One each of Pastor, Carnitas and Bistec...they were all delicious and the green salsa was the perfect topping. Beans were solid as well. We truly like this place...but one of our goto staples is the Queso, Chips and Salsa when we try new Mexican joints...so our adventures will take us in another direction.

Where were the Wingman Wings, the Danger Zone Nachos, or the You Can Be My Wingman Fries? They had a brownie with ice cream and couldn't even call it the Iceman Cometh. It really made me lose that loving feeling when I saw how management was writing checks its menu couldn't cash. Food itself was fine, big portions with a low altitude buzz over Flavortown. We had to flag down a different waiter to take our card when ours gave us the check and didn't come back for over 10 minutes, and they were not busy at all at the time with several staff milling about. The food was incredibly sad. For the price we expected it to be substantially better. There were seven of us so we got a variety of items. The fried pickles were pretty good, but anything with a salad was horrible and all of their meat items were so bland and overcooked. One member of our party that had a burger said they'd rather go to Sonic, they couldn't even taste the meat. Several of us gave up on our food. None of us took leftovers. Considering this restaurant is on an expensive resort and has a pretty big price tag on everything, we were all very bummed. Won't be back, but it wasn't the worst experience in the world, just sad.

This is the poolside restaurant at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa. We ate and drank here…read moreseveral times during our stay. The restaurant itself has very little seating, but the waiters also roam the pool area taking and delivering orders. The misting fans at the bar area are nice. The "pina colava" drink (pina colada mixed with strawberry something) is completely delicious but seemed to contain very little alcohol, especially for its $9 price tag (still making it one of the cheaper drinks on the menu). Pass on the margarita-pina colada drink, which we tried for novelty's sake...there's a reason you don't see drinks like this on more menus. The brisket nachos come with a meager amount of brisket that's chopped into weird little cubes. The waiter raved about this dish, saying that all the brisket is smoked on-site, and it does have a great smoky flavor. Just wish there had been more substance to these nachos. They have a salad with iceberg lettuce, avocado, cheese, and bacon to which you can add grilled chicken, making it about $15, I believe. The grilled chicken was great, and the "balsamic" dressing was tasty though not really balsamic. A decent poolside salad, especially with the addition of the chicken, but nothing to write home about. Without the chicken, it would have been a pretty sad salad. Sweet potato fries are standard and tasty, but skip their regular fries unless you like bland, mushy, skinless fries -- they're targeting kids with those, not adult fry eaters. At $6, the fry basket was probably the largest quantity for the cost. It would be nice if they served the ketchup in little cups rather than packets, which left me squirting ketchup onto a napkin for lack of anywhere else to put it. The waiters are incredibly friendly and helpful, but service was really slow no matter where we ordered and sat (at the bar, at the tables, and by the pool). Drinks were often half-melted by the time they reached us at the pool. Tip is automatically included, and a pretty basic meal for two with drinks can quickly go into three figures. They know you're a captive audience at the pool (and at Lost Pines in general).

We made reservations here because we were staying here for the week. Our party of 5 adults and 2 toddlers were originally seated at the center of the room, and I asked if we could be moved to the booth where we can feel more close and not so separated. The dining table felt too formal and we like to sit closely...especially with children you'll want a booth. Anyway, point being, the staff was so kind of patient to allow us to move and I hope I wasn't being difficult doing this, but it made all the difference during our time here. A lot of things were ordered, and they even have a set menu for kids for $28: + Fruit with Coconut Yogurt - Kids may be disappointed as it looks like whipped cream but it tastes like tart yogurt. + Entree of either CHicken, Petit Filet, or Grilled Salmon + Dessert - Create your own dirt cup which can be fun for the kids. Here's some of the things I tried: ESPRESSO MARTINI - $18 Sweet and strong, you only need one! As for food, I lost my photos, and I had a taste of variety. I'm so sorry. This is not a thorough review, but all I can say quickly is: + They have complimentary warm bread and butter. + This place will serve the finest and freshest fish because of thier partnership with thier Sushi establishment. So try the ahi tuna. + Filet minion is pretty darn good + Bisque was sweet and creamy. + We were treated with a single portion of Beff Wellington and Cranberry sipping and it was so lovely. + Have I mentioned how amazing the service is? + They validate your parking if you came to park in the lot (this was helpful for friends who didn't stay with us at the resort) You'll have a wonderful time no matter what you order. I started my meal with the Seared Scallops, which were perfectly prepared and tasted amazing. The entire plate was a work of art and since I enjoy a well plated meal first, this one hit right on the money. For my main I enjoyed the South Texas Antelope Tenderloin. Any chance I have to sample a local dish I take it and this one delivered massively. I highly recommend trying this dish if you visit. I also had the chance to try the Seared Ahi Tuna, as our mains were taking a bit longer than expected and the chef personally delivered us a couple apology dishes. I appreciate a chef who can acknowledge an issue and do his best to fix it, so this was nice to see. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly and took great care of me and my party. Seeing the chef come out to the table to speak to us was a big deal to me. All in all I was very happy with my visit here and will certainly return if I ever get the chance to stay here again. It is kind of hidden, so you sort of need to go look for it, but it's certainly something you don't want to miss. Highly recommend checking this place out.

WHEN: Weekday Afternoon…read more Came here twice during our stay at the resort because it's the only restaurant open between lunch and dinner time. I love that this place is kid friendly with coloring pages and crayons for the kiddos. There's seating outside and inside, and at the bar where the game is on the television screens. This is definitely a bar lounge in the evening, and it's quite nice, and feels kind of fancy. I came back when a friend visited me where we started to sit outside first, but moved inside because of a bee. The staff was super nice, and during both times, would split orders at no extra charge--how thoughtful!!! Gosh I can't get enough of the service at this resort. Here's what was ordered from both visits. BURRATA SALAD - $18 Preserved Lemon, Candied Pecans, Roasted Sweet Potato, Arugula, Texas Olive Oil. This was really good, I'm so glad I ordered it. It was both light and filling and had all right ingredients. It was sweet, savory, light and rich. You just have to try it for yourself. WAGYU BURGER - $20 French Onion Aioli, Heirloom Tomato, Lettuce, Cheddar, Potato Roll. Chose the Side Salad option. You can also substitute proteins for Beyond Burger or Veggie option for no additional cost! This burger was soft, juicy and overall really good! The salad was decent and it was nice to be able to pick your dressing: Honey mustard! Ah this dish was enjoyed very much. For the 2 kids, we ordered from the Kids Menu, which includes choice of French Fries, Fresh Fruit, or Side Salad. FRIED CHICKEN TENDERS - $9 This was so good we ordered it again the second time. It comes with 3 pieces of tenders that were light, crunchy and NOT dry. The Fruit option included grapes, melons and pineapples. MAC 'N' CHEESE - $9 Simple creamy Mac n cheese, no complaints! The french fries where golden, crisp and wonderful. PISTACHIO DESSERT - $15 Pistachio Cake layered with Raspberry- Lemon Gelee and Vanilla Diplomat Cream, Caramelized Pistachios, Pistachio Whipped Cream, and Fresh Raspberries. Wow this was a fancy one! All the fun layers, and it was so delicious! We had such a wonderful time here. We really appreciated everything and enjoyed ourselves.

This is probably the first restaurant I've ever seen that literally has a car wash connected to it. Once inside you'll find an ATM, gambling machines, and a check cashing station. In other words, there seems to be a lot going on here besides being a restaurant. There's about 10 tables inside and four more outside. The only thing missing are some gas pumps. This place has all the ambience of a convenience store dining experience. The tables are rickety, the paint on the floor is well worn away, and the ceiling tiles are stained. The menus are in Spanish (no english) and there is no complementary chips and salsa here. We were able to order in English, but clearly this is geared towards Mexican customers primarily. They do have some frescas along with some Mexican beer, but nothing in the way of craft beer. We ordered the beef quesadilla and beef sope. The cubed meat on both our dishes was way overcooked, tough, bordering on inedible and "questionable". Even the greasy silverware did not appear very clean and even had some rust spots on the knife. The service was OK, but nothing special. I discovered after I paid at the counter where I included a tip, an additional tip had already been added without my knowledge.
