We loved this place so much, we went back the next night. Best thing: both waiters were absolutely phenomenal--so attentive & anticipated our every need. Joshua & Walker - great job!! Food was delicious as well. I had the Chicken Wrap- delicious. The next night I had the lamb shank - melt-in-your-mouth tender and sooo flavorful!!!

Food was good, and their cheese cake is super delicious, service was good and the ambience was ok but not the greatest.

Me and David enjoyed the medallions!

The disappointment: The partially deboned Springer Mt. chicken got jettisoned from the menu. EVERYTHING ELSE: Really good. Can't beat those filet medallions. That reduction they slather the steak with is just about as rich and delish as you'll find on the planet. Call me silly, but I am so addicted to the mashed potatoes. And, how can one complain when this dreamy Pisces named Jake brings you food? Crystal clear blue eyes make the whole evening better!

We stopped into the Loft twice on a recent visit to Columbus, both times snagging bar seats. Night one bestie and I came for dinner. I thought it was adorable when I inquired about the Georgia Peach Tea cocktail and our server said "it's really strong" and you have to "like Bourbon" SOLD! Not only do I like Bourbon, I LOVE Bourbon. Préférence is neat but cocktails are lovely too. If you, like me love Bourbon this drink is absolutely not strong at all. What it is, is delish!!! I had the southwest chicken wrap with sweet potato fries and their spicy rémoulade as a dipping sauce. My bestie had a chicken dish. I went for round two on their Georgia Peach Tea and brought my son for a round with me on a separate evening. Staff is friendly and food and drinks come out in a very timely manner. Highly recommend. Make a rezzie if you want to guarantee a table. I'd made one but we came at a different time both days as we were just doing our own thing so I released the table Saturday so we could just sit at the bar. Nice spot! Go for the George Dickel ;)

Good location for our 16-person group! The service was great, the drinks were strong, and the food was good.

Went here for dinner Tuesday evening. The place is packed inside, and they had no tables, so we chose to eat outside on the sidewalk tables. We started with the smoked queso and tortilla chips appetizer. This was sooo good!! For entrees, I had the fillet medallions with sides of green beans and mashed potatoes and my wife had the Cajun seafood pasta. Medallions were cooked perfectly, except they were way over-seasoned. My wife really enjoyed the Cajun seafood pasta. Got a slice of the Icebox cake to-go and it was total Yum!

I walked in with no reservation on a weeknight. I sat upstairs and the bar staff was very nice to me. The lighting in this place is very nice and makes for a great atmosphere to dine in. Most importantly, my filet mignon was cooked perfectly at medium. Along with the mashed potatoes and green beans it was a savory experience with the perfect amount seasoning and buttery texture. The cheesecake went back to my hotel with me and I had it for breakfast. Wow! Large slice, amazing home cooked texture and tasted wonderful! Even without the strawberries! Highly recommend if you want an amazing steak in Columbus!

Wow!! Super glad we were able to get a last-minute reservation. Our server, Colin? Connor? Sorry, I'm terrible with names, was absolutely amazing! My glass of tea remained full, his recommendation for the unstuffed chicken was spot on. The unstuffed chicken was absolutely delicious, the mashed potatoes were probably the best mashed potatoes. I've had in my entire life in a restaurant, seriously. The restaurant is quiet enough that you can have a full-blown conversation without screaming at each other. The menu was clearly marked with gluten-free items, and they had more than enough for me to choose from. The people that eat gluten at my table, enjoyed similar dishes - but also enjoyed the biggest slice, actually slab, of carrot cake. That carrot cake looks like it would feed an army of 20, obviously was homemade, and made me wish that I were not required to be gluten-free. Overall, this is an amazing restaurant and I can't wait to be in town again so that I can enjoy the deliciousness that they offer

Service was excellent. The server came multiple times to check on us and refill the drinks. The food was a bit disappointing. The sides were good, nothing special. But the steak came out cold and a bit overly seasoned. There was live music playing upstairs.

Perfect spot to stop and eat in downtown Columbus. Cute piano stairs that you walk up going into the restaurant. Service was really good and we packed for nothing! Had to send back the spicy chicken sandwich as it was a salty attack on taste buds according to my husband and that's saying a lot because he loves salt. Changed it out for a wrap which he said was pretty good. The truffled tater tots were AMAZING. Highly recommend those. I had the pork chop and grits which was really good as well but also a little on the salty side...but still good. Fun place! Would definitely come back!

So it's always first come, first serve and everytime I've tried to come here, it's a 30 min wait. It took about 15 min for the bartender to offer us menus and give us waters/ask for a drink. The drinks were delicious though, I had the Paper Plane. The food was also surprisingly good. Even though there wasn't enough chicken on the chicken Alfredo dish, the sauce was delicious and tasted great. The burger and sweet potato fries were also good. I think if I came back; it would be for the drinks and potentially the pasta. I would be open to trying other things on the menu.

Both my lunch date and I came from out of town after seeing so many great reviews and hearing how good the food was supposed to be. The restaurant itself was nice and clean, but let's get to the food... I ordered the blackened chicken with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Unfortunately, there was NO FLAVOR. I even tried adding the salt and pepper from the table, and it still did not help the taste at all. My lunch date ordered the salmon, mashed potatoes, and brussels sprouts, and unfortunately, their food was just as disappointing. What really surprised me was that after we finished eating, we met several people from the area who talked about how good the food was. We had also seen plenty of positive reviews before making the trip, so maybe we just caught them on an off day. I was disappointed to find out afterward that they have a Sunday brunch menu with a lot more options, including dishes like catfish and shrimp. Even a table of older ladies sitting beside us mentioned wishing they served cornbread--or any type of bread. There were no rolls, biscuits, cornbread...nothing. Personally, I think offering some of those Sunday menu options every day would make the menu much better. I was disappointed after driving over two hours to try this restaurant, but I am willing to give it another chance. However, my next visit will definitely have to be on a Sunday so I can experience more of what the menu has to offer. Everyone's experience is different, and this just happened to be ours.

If you're anywhere near downtown Columbus, this needs to be your stop. The Old Fashioned was beautifully balanced, garnished with a gorgeous orange peel, and at $10 it's an absolute steal -- honestly, they could charge more and it'd still be worth it. My wife is vegetarian and had the pasta, which she loved just as much -- great sauce, feta, sunflower seeds for crunch. This place genuinely has something for everyone, carnivore or not. Add in a waiter who was on point the whole meal and that down-home Southern ambiance (exposed brick, string lights, the whole vibe), and you've got a restaurant that nails food, drinks, and atmosphere all at once. If you're looking for where to eat in Columbus, don't even think twice -- this is it.

But, other than that our actual wait person was awesome and the food top notch! The hot pimento crab dip is to die for and the Harlot Burger was a definite winner. We also very much enjoyed the banana pudding. Charming place, friendly service and great food...just wish the greeting was a bit more welcoming, still a 5 star experience.

My wife and I used to come here for brunch when we were students at Auburn 10 years ago, despite living here just as long, we haven't been in a very long time. We started with the pork rinds and bacon flight. Presentation-wise they nailed the rinds: they came out hot and fresh and still crackling, but my god, they were too spicy. There was no enjoyment in them for me, the menu says spicy but it was way hotter than I anticipated, and that's okay. The bacon flight was incredible. The three flavors were black and blue (I think), buffalo, and classic crispy bacon (a lazy third in an otherwise stellar lineup). Again, fantastic presentation. You get "12" slices, but it's really about 6 slices of bacon that have been halved. For dinner, my wife went with the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. It looked great and tasted incredible. The dressing has that small-batch taste you get from tableside Caesar. The chicken was steaming hot, a great sign of freshness, and it came on the side of the salad, which is the sign of an experienced kitchen. The heat didn't take away from the crispness of the salad. All around an amazing dish. I chose the chicken fried steak, which is made with beef cheek, with whipped Yukon potatoes and I had baked mac and cheese. I'll be honest, the breading and fry really took away from the meat and dish as a whole. The flavor of the bark on the beef cheek was ten times that of the breading. I would have preferred braised/smoked beef cheek over potatoes with the mushroom velouté. The breading just took away from the meat. Presentation was bland too: light fry, over white potatoes, with a white velouté. The dish normally comes with green beans, but I swapped for mac and cheese because I am 12 and don't like green beans. Still, the dark bark of the beef cheek, the white potatoes, and the green of the beans would have been amazing to look at. But I'm not a chef, and maybe I have a minority opinion on the fry. Not sure what I expected, but it wasn't fried bricks of beef braised beef. Delicious nonetheless, but the fry took away from the dish overall, and I can't stress that enough. For dessert we had the bread pudding, and my god, it was the best bread pudding I've ever had. The sauce, the toffee cracker on top, the ice cream. If I've ever had a perfect dessert, it was that. It looked incredible and tasted even better. Price-wise it's what you'd expect for downtown Auburn, so no shock there. I feel the experience was priced appropriately. We'll keep coming back as the menu changes.
