The food and vibe during the day. It's very chill and family friendly. at night time. It turns into a very lively bar that is also host to a speak easy. second floor. Is a nightclub mostly urban hip-hop and on the third floor it is a Latin nightclub. all you would ever want in one building for a night doubt.

Rocket burger w bacon

The burgers here are amazing, tacos not so much but looking forward to trying other items from here. Staff always very attentive and pleasant.

Terrific service is the hallmark of this food and beer restaurant. There are many brews to chose from. My cheeseburger was a tad over done. Wife reports her fries were cold and soggy. Her pulled pork sandwich came with jalapeños, which she pulled off after her nose started running from the spicy taste. Our server was delightful and attentive. The food menu is small. That makes choosing fast, but I'd like to see a wider selection.

We went to a speakeasy and let me tell you!! The drinks were AMAZING!!! I had the Orange Creamsicle Martini.. it was super tasty!! I also did peanut butter cup shops. I'm not a big PB but those I would happily have again!!

Go Knights and Charge On. What else do you want? Best beer selection in Ocala. Pure Gastropub type menu. Staff is on it and location is smack dab on the Square. DrinkLocal352 Thx again Nigel for taking good care of us. Walking by or staying for some music, hit up The Lodge on your next visit to Ocala. Go Knights!!!!

Great deal on delicious shrimp

What a great night! I can't imagine why this place has such a low score. Six of us reserved a table for the Dueling Pianos and six of us LOVED it! The bar was hopping, great atmosphere and generous food helpings, the shrimp were off the chart and the burgers/pizzas were standard quality. They kept our table flowing with drinks and with everyone singing along all around us, it was just the best night we've had in ages. We would definitely go again and again. We do recommend you get a table though as it would be a long night to stand and it would be hard to get to the bar as busy as it gets. Oh yes! GET THE SHRIMP COCKTAIL!

Very yum. I got a bacon cheeseburger cooked perfectly. It came with a side of fries. Their french fries are are incredible; they have a unique batter I have not seen anywhere else before. Lots of different craft beers to choose from - and outdoor seating. I also got a sneak peak at a new corn beef hashed based dish which was delicious. Can't wait to come back and try it out.

Stopped by District Bar and Kitchen for a late lunch/early dinner on a beautiful spring day…read more The temperature outside was pleasant and so my dining companion and I opted for lunch on their patio. We were on their bottom floor patio (which was lovely) but I did spy that they have a rooftop patio as well (what's not to love?!?). Everything from the food to the cocktails to the service was exemplary. For my cocktail I got their Old Colonel's Smoking Gun which was their twist on an old fashioned and was delightful. For my entree, I got their salmon entree. It's glazed and comes with a size of their crispy brussels and cheesy grits. The brussels were delish and their cheesy grits rank among some of the best I've had with sharp cheddar giving them the perfect flavor kick. The atmosphere was so pleasant. It's definitely the sort of spot you'll feel tempted to linger. Get to it!

Would definitely get another flavor to try next time. Got the honey chicken sandwich. It was big and flavorful. Not spicy. The fries are yummy. The burger had nothing special on it and tasted like there was no seasoning - only downside. Want to try their grits and fried green tomatoes next time!

Unfortunately for me I was looking for a brewery experience and Big Hammock is not that. They do have a good amount of local craft beers on tap which is a definite plus. They just didn't have any of their own beer. Maybe they are brewing, but if they are not, they should change the brewery in their name to brew pub because the name is definitely misleading. It is really awkward making this review, because I really did not get the full experience. I walked in, looked around, checked out the beer menu, asked if they had any of their own beers. When that answer was "no" I left. The end.

It was packed when we were there, but we were able to find 2 seats at the bar, which was perfect. We got to watch the short order magic happening in that tiny kitchen. Because we got to watch the food prep, we ended up ordering several dishes to split. I'd call it Asian fusion. We had a ramen bowl, some bao buns. It's a nice vibe. Murals on the wall, and doors that roll up for inside/outside service when the weather is nice. They do offer food takeout, so if you can't find a seat, have a beer while they put your food together to eat at home.

Was just finishing up a stroll through the large local Market of Marion and wanted a place to sit…read moreand enjoy a beverage and a meal with friends and family. We found this spot when I searched for Shrimp Po Boy lunch and it looked very interesting. We drove over which was only about 8 minutes away from the market so very convenient to the market. Lots of parking so it was pretty easy to find a spot despite it being very busy. 28 beers on tap! So you can definitely find something you will enjoy if you're a fan of beer. The menu is large with lots of options and reminds me of a higher class of bar food. We started with a larger soft fresh baked pretzel that was plenty to share with our group of 3, it came with a really good beer cheese and some honey mustard dipping sauce. Really liked the pretzel and the dipping sauces found myself eating and dipping as I sipped on my chocolate coffee stout in a fun 10oz glass that made it very refreshing. We ordered our entrees as the music started back up and while the music was good it was so loud we could no longer have a conversation at our table without shouting so it would have been great if the volume was a bit lower since this was Sunday lunch not Friday night beers. The food arrived in stages as it is served as it became ready from the kitchen. First out was the blackened fish tacos my mom ordered. She said they were good but not spectacular, she ate just the fish out of one and took the rest home. Next out was our friend's bang bang shrimp and they looked amazing. The presentation was very nice and he offered one of them for me to try. Very crunchy batter and delicious sauce however it overwhelmed the shrimp and you could not taste them, which depending on how much you like shrimp could be a good thing or not. Next out was my shrimp po boy and why it looked good the ratio of shrimp to bread was way off. 3 maybe four whole shrimp to a huge bun. The shrimp were the same style as the bang bang shrimp just a different sauce. While the sandwich was good I basically took a few bites to get the whole experience and then just ate the few small bits of shrimp and left the bun. Maybe if I had not eaten the pretzel I would have liked all the bread as it did taste good but definitely not enough shrimp for its size. The chickpea salad was definitely the star of the entree as it had so much flavor and was amazing. Service was great and they were very attentive and offered samples of the beers if we wanted to try them. Highly recommended for beers and snacks but not sure I would recommend the seafood. I would like to go back and try the pizza and a few more beers!

The service is EXCELLENT! No waiting, no flagging down a waitress. They were beyond attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and so polite. We had a problem with the wings being stone cold and my husband's Shrimp Po' Girl sandwich was inedible because the shrimp were also stone cold, it was about 9" long and wasn't even cut in half so he could pick it up and eat it. My sweet and smoky rubbed wings were spot on, though. So were my husband's fries. Seasonings were spot on and perfectly fried without being greasy in the slightest. Our appetizer was the fried mushrooms. Usually, when you order fried mushrooms, they dump them out of a bag pulled from the freezer. THESE were totally different and super delicious! Almost like they were freshly hand-breaded and fried! Look at the pictures! Amazing! We were so full by the end that we took home 10 wings even though I only ordered 20 to begin with. Somehow my husband managed to plow through his entire sandwich and most of his fries (I helped just because they were so good) and his help with my wings didn't really make a dent in them, although he gets a star for good effort lol. Our first batch of bbq sauced wings were cold, as was my husband's shrimp in his po' girl sandwich, but both were quickly rectified by our fabulous waitress, Sarah. She divulged to us that she had only been working here a week, but she's doing one helluva job (in our opinion). Kept her cool and was well organized, made sure things were perfect for the customer. All great characteristics of a great waitress. All in all, excellent food, great tvs to watch the SuperBowl on and a smattering of every age group, ethnicity and peoples were gathered here tonight to watch "The Big Game" together!

We had to see what we were missing, so we made the 45 minute trek to this unpretentious building on 36th Avenue in Ocala. The parking lot was full and we had to park way in the back on sand. That was a great sign! The restaurant is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside and with all the cars it didn't feel crowded as we expected. We were greeted and seated immediately. The place was clean and the menu extensive. I ordered the burger and my husband had a fish sandwich. The portion of the fish that was served was huge, but not cooked long enough in my husband's opinion. The burger was more bun than meat. Also, it had an odd taste which I compared to hamburgers served in a school cafeteria. Maybe because the burgers had been so hyped I was just bound to be disappointed. The coleslaw was to die for and I could've eaten just a bowl of that! We tried it and are glad, but it is definitely not worth the trip or the hype.
