Another pre-Reilly center concert dinner at Miller's Ale house in Ocala. Dawn and I started with a Bailey's Martini, and they were nice. We shared our favorite Spinach and Artichoke dip with chips, and it was delicious as always. We finished up with a Zinger Salad for her, and chicken Cesar for me. They were made well, tasted great and the portions were ample. Service was prompt, and Meg, our server was courteous and accommodating to our request. Ambiance was great, the lighting was better, and it was a good experience overall! I see that some of Miller's reviews are a little low. We have eaten here several times, and I cannot recall having poor service, or a bad meal ever. The prices are a little high, yet they are comparable to the area. We will come back again! read more

Tried this place 4 times. First time waitress accidentally spilled drink on me. Manager was very nice and took care of the meal. Second trip ordered grilled fish got blackened, by the time my meal came back my wife was done with hers. Third trip great. Fourth trip wrong sides came out with 2 meals. Overall this was an amazing experience for customer service. We came in to be immediately seated and we had James as our server and he was great ! As for the kitchen our food was disgusting. My kids got shrimp potatoes and grilled chicken. The potatoes were literally crusted at the bottom I'm so mad I didn't take a pic but we sent it back and just ate the pretzel. I got the iso oso buco and it was so dang dry and with the potatoes i had to drink a whole cup of water after a bite. My husband got the zingers with fries and it was so cold you could see the cheese that was already firmed up not melt by any means. A while ago I posted a review. Today I change it. We were there and had the very best dinner. My husband had the Caesar salad with chicken and I had the shrimp scampi which was very delicious. The manager came by to make sure all was good, the service was excellent and we enjoyed the place very much. We can't wait to go back. Went on a late Sunday Afternoon to watch an NFL playoff game and have appetizers and something for dinner. It had been a busy day, with no chance to get proper food into me, and I certainly wasn't in the mood for cooking for myself, so I figured a visit to Miller's Ale House would be a good thing to do. I wasn't disappointed... the food is good, the atmosphere is nice, the prices are right, and there was plenty to eat. I sat at the bar, which was somewhat entertaining as there were folks watching the game and locals that knew each other... it is nice to see the community come together like that. I ordered a caesar salad for a starter, but it really turned out to be large enough to cover the entire meal from beginning to end. For my main I ordered the fish and chips, and the one thing I have learned is that the fish and chips at Miller's is a large dish, and you get plenty of food with it. The fish was cooked properly and had a nice crispness to the breading, and the chips were good as well. We usually have a decent time, good food and great service here. Tonight was horrible. The fryers taste like haven't been cleaned in weeks. The food tasted like it was marinated in oil for a couple days before it got popped into those dirty fryers. Our server was to busy telling us she wanted to bartend at a dive bar to remember that we ordered the egg rolls first. We both had long days at work and were starving. So when she came back ready for us to order and asked if we wanted an appetizer, I was anything but thrilled. It got worse when the food arrived and was disgusting. Hubby and I visited 8/10/25 @ 2:50pm after shopping at Paddock Mall. Sat at bar for lunch and it was great-lobster ravioli was the best and hubby loved the zingers! But most of all our bartender, Michelle, was great! Full bar by 3:30 and nobody waited for a drink! She's extremely friendly and as busy as she was, took a little time to talk to everybody! I went for first time & to celebrate a birthday and worst experience ever! The food was not good and service was horrendous! My dad ordered sirloin that came out so small & had no flavor at all, a small little pile of mashed potatoes with hardly any gravy & no flavor, the veggies undercooked & no flavor. The Caesar salad had no dressing on it. The mahi sandwich had no flavor as well and served plain on a huge plate with no side not even a pickle or chips. The server took our order & never came back to the table to see how meal was or if we wanted any more cocktails or drinks. Visited Miller's Ale House for lunch. We were a party of 3 and were seated promptly. After several minutes our waitress came to take our drink order. At that time I asked what the soup of the day was. Not only did she not know but she asked 2 other servers and they did know either. Not until she returned with our drinks did she know after asking the kitchen. Our drinks seemed very light on the alcohol. As for our meals. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service just seemed off. First off I want to say that I use to enjoy coming to this restaurant, up until today when I realized corporate wants to scam customers. I get there and the first thing I notice is the "LUNCH SPECIAL DEALS" which has "discounted lunch items" between 11am-4pm. So I look at them and then look at the normal menu because the lunch special menu had an item I wanted but it didn't list what's on it. I then look at the regular everyday menu that they give you when you sit down. Come to find out the "lunch special" reflects the same price in the normal menu. So by now I'm confused and the server does not have a straight answer for me at all. So I say screw it and ordered a 13.99 lunch special blackened salmon Caesar salad and tried to ignore the pricing problem in their menus. When my food came out I swear I though i was on an episode of PUNKED.... I looked at this chicken finger sized piece of salmon and said what the F#@k is this... so I ask them why the size is so small and the server tells me that it's the 7.99 option and not the 13.99 option. I didn't ask for a 7.99 meal. I literally pointed to the 13.99 salmon and said that's what I wanted. The server then goes to the kitchen to ask them wtf is going on. She comes back and tells me that this sad excuse for a meal was in fact 13.99. I swear I almost laughed out loud. I felt so taken advantage of and scammed. The sever apologized and got me a different meal but I spoke to the manager and asked him why they're scamming customers and all he had to say was that it was corporates fault. DO NOT EAT HERE! This was my first time at this location. I have been to Ale Houses many times in SoFL so I am familiar with the chain. If you are familiar with Ocala, then you know most businesses close before 9pm. This restaurant was open until midnight so it worked for us since I end my work day at 8pm some nights. This was my first time at this location. We came to meet some friends. They were here before us so they had already had dinner. We did not so we decided to eat here as well. We sat at the bar and were offered to place drink orders. I inquired about specials and ordered a gin & club soda. After 10 minutes, the bartender had to ask what I ordered and I said nevermind, give me a PBR. I ordered the zinger mountain melt with no scallions, Cajun ranch, sauce for chicken on the side, as well as bleu cheese. My order was delivered with scallions, no Cajun ranch, and 2 sides of bleu cheese. It was okay but everyone in my party noticed. My friend was waiting for 20 minutes to order one last drink and the bartender purposely (or at least it seemed on purpose) to avoid us until 5 minutes before closing and denied my friend her last drink. I can honestly say I was never excited about Millers Ale House but at least the food and service in the past made it decent. This trip made me decide to not eat here in the future because the food was not flavorful or memorable. I remember the food being better in quality and flavor but that was years ago. The drink specials are worth returning for. We will probably not be visiting this location again with those friends because the restaurant and bar were basically empty so sitting at the bar should have made things easier but it was not. read more

Got a delivery order from Miller's Ale House, of a NY Strip steak, with broccoli and a loaded baked potato and a bowl of French Onion soup. The soup was delicious, though the bread crouton was mushy and disintegrated which was disappointing. There was plenty of melted provolone which was nice after the bread mush was taken out of the soup. The steak although perfectly cooked medium rare had a thick fat strip on one side that was not edible and about a 1/2 inch wide. This should have been trimmed. The cat enjoyed it but she has fangs. I could not get through it with my knife. The rest of the steak was decent, a good flavor, well-seasoned and had a lovely crust. The broccoli was terrific, flavorful and tender and the loaded baked potato was perfect. A small side Caesar salad was better than average as well. I would have appreciated a roll or bread and butter for the overpriced charge of $50+. This price might not have stung if the steak had not been so fatty. Still all in all, for Ocala, where there are limited delivery options for steak, it was pretty good. read more

Very disappointed my wife and I went there for St Patrick's Day. I had the worse Reuben sandwich U have ever had waitress never once asked if we wanted more to drink. My wife ordered a sandwich and fries with cheese extra cheese on the fries. They put the extra cheese on her sandwich. When we told the waitress instead of doing her fries the right way with extra cheese she brought my wife a container of cold shredded cheese instead of melted cheese.
