Drove over 30 minutes to try the BOGO burgers. Not sure it was worth the trip…read more I always assume "specials" are priced low (for what you get) to draw people in to try the place. There was just no wow factor in these burgers. Swiss muchroom burger had good flavor, but the burger itself was very small. They tried to hide it in an over sized bun. The bourbon burger had a funny taste, but same small burger. The coldslaw was a joke. Came in a plastic cup, with a lid and the cup was probably 1/3 of a measuring cup. TINY. The special drew me in, but it did not make a repeat customer out of me. $16 for one burger (out of the BOGO timing) is way over priced.

I had previously really liked the Pool Bar Restaurant, but after my experience there yesterday, I…read moredon't think I will ever eat there again. I ordered the Cobb Salad. It arrived looking wonderful with nice chunks of turkey. I took a bite and also got some avocado that was very overripe. Took another bite, same thing, and then I realized there was no avocado! The turkey was as soft and mushy as an overripe avocado... it was absolutely disgusting and sickening! The server brought me a new salad made with chicken, instead of turkey & said the manager had been shown my salad. The manager did not bother to come speak with me. I was still upset and worried that I would be getting sick from the turkey, & called today to speak to the manager. He acknowledged that he should have come to the table & claimed there had been nothing wrong with the turkey beyond it had been sitting too long in brine.... I cannot imagine how many days sitting in brine it took to turn chunks of turkey breast into literal mush.

City Fire usually isn't my kind of place because it feels a little too "Sysco Foods corporate…read morechain" for my personal taste. Even the doggie containers say Sysco on them.. . I normally prefer more unique local spots with a little more personality. That being said... the short rib entrée was actually pretty good. In fact, I was SO hungry that I completely forgot to take a photo before eating it, which for an avid Yelper like myself is practically unheard of. Somewhere halfway through the meal I suddenly realized... wait... I never even took the picture. The short rib was tender, flavorful and comforting, and I pretty much inhaled the entire thing without thinking twice. Service was super friendly, the atmosphere was completely dead overall... however the genuine smiles from my waitress gave me warm fuzzies and made me realize .. you know .,, there are genuinely nice people out there.

I went to City Fire in Brownwood after dinner with friends, and unfortunately it was probably one…read moreof the worst bar-service experiences I've had in a long time. The biggest problem was simply a lack of attention to the customers. The staff seemed more interested in watching TV than noticing who needed service. At one point I approached someone working behind the bar and was told, "Oh, I'm not the bartender." Fair enough--he was apparently the barback, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. But I shouldn't have to remind someone working behind the bar to get the bartender when a customer is clearly waiting for service. The whole operation just felt amateur and poorly managed. What makes it disappointing is that City Fire in Brownwood used to have a decent crowd and a good atmosphere. Tonight it felt almost like a ghost town, and after experiencing the service, I can understand why. I probably won't be going back unless they improve the staffing and service. There are too many other places in Brownwood where the bar staff actually pays attention to their customers.

We had to see what we were missing, so we made the 45 minute trek to this unpretentious building on 36th Avenue in Ocala. The parking lot was full and we had to park way in the back on sand. That was a great sign! The restaurant is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside and with all the cars it didn't feel crowded as we expected. We were greeted and seated immediately. The place was clean and the menu extensive. I ordered the burger and my husband had a fish sandwich. The portion of the fish that was served was huge, but not cooked long enough in my husband's opinion. The burger was more bun than meat. Also, it had an odd taste which I compared to hamburgers served in a school cafeteria. Maybe because the burgers had been so hyped I was just bound to be disappointed. The coleslaw was to die for and I could've eaten just a bowl of that! We tried it and are glad, but it is definitely not worth the trip or the hype.

Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service was just as impressive as the food - efficient, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which made us feel right at home. Highly recommend if you're looking for great food, great service, and a fun place to relax!

The sandwich definitely delivered on flavor -- good seasoning, nice kick of heat (a little spicier than I expected, but in a good way), and overall really enjoyable. The kettle chips were solid and paired well with it. Service, however, was a bit of a miss. It took a while for the food to come out, and once it did, we didn't see our server again until after everyone at the table was finished. No check-back, no refills, nothing -- which was disappointing. That said, I'd still come back for the food. Hopefully next visit the service matches what's coming out of the kitchen.
