Medium Iced Oat Lavender Cold Brew (~$5)
Aya E.

Ordered: Medium Cold Brew (~$5): with lavender and a splash of oat milk (+50¢) Aya's take: Small coffee shop with your typical cafe menu. I opted for the Cold Brew today with Lavender syrup. I love floral flavors and the lavender really balanced out the bitterness of the cold brew. It could've used a bit more oat milk to make it smoother. I got the caffeine kick I wanted and was nice to sip on for the time being.

Cool space. Customer service was great ambience was small but decent. Nice little coffee shop if you're looking for something in the area. Coffee was typical but good.

If you like supporting local small businesses, may I suggest The Little Local coffee cafe? This spot is so under the radar but anyone who likes quaint coffee shops would love the vibe, service and the beverages. There is some cozy seating in the back but true to their word, the space is little.

Cute unassuming coffee shop. Coffee was ok, the service was great. They have very limited space but the layout is very cute.

I'm kind of sad to give this rating, but I didn't have the best experience here - it's a small coffee shop that's easy to miss, and I walked in with high expectations since I read good reviews before and wanted to try a new coffee spot in Hoboken. However, there was only one person working there and the espresso machine stopped working. The barista was very nice and offered to make me another drink but it took quite a while. If I'm being honest, I probably wouldn't come back here compared to other places in Hoboken but it's reasonably priced.

Such a cute little hidden gem! I tried their matcha latte and chai tea latte, both were great. What really hit the spot was their caramel dark choc sea salt pastry- a must try They have a few chairs to sit outside, and the young lady that works there is very helpful to arrange seating. Will definitely be coming back :)

AMAZING! Thank you to The Little Local for being such a hidden gem in Hoboken! I loved my experience here. I am not a coffee drinker so I was excited to be recommended a non-coffee option featuring turmeric, oat milk and agave. It was so delicious. Wish I lived in the area so I could get this weekly. Definitely a must-stop!

The most watered down cold brew I've had in years. Had to find another coffee shop immediately after.

Lovely, cozy, humble and understated cafe in the heart of Hoboken. Refreshing diversion from the chains and delis. Worth a stop in.

The ladies working here were so kind and gracious about it, explaining how to order the cinnamon donuts in advance and they freeze well if you order a large quantity, so I purchased an apple cinnamon caramel scone instead. I ate it the next day and it was very good. I appreciated that it was a scone and not too sweet. There are chunks of apple in there with a definitive cinnamon presence. The caramel is drizzled over the top. It would go well with coffee or tea, particularly chai. There are other offerings here and if you see the cinnamon donuts, do not pass them up. 3.5 stars, but I am certain that could be revised upwards if I sample more of their baked goods.

I'm not gluten free but love any and all sweets. And I have so many GF people in my life. We were all patiently awaiting their grand opening and let me tell you: it was worth the wait. I stopped in shortly before they closed to pick up a box of cookies to bring to said gluten free friends. I got a mix of the sugar cookies, chocolate chip and sea salt caramels. All are incredible and none give the slightest hint that they are made to be GF. Crazy moist (Oy, sorry if you hate that word, but they were MOIST), soft and flavorful. The sugar cookie stole the show for me but I don't think you'll find a cookie you don't like. They had so many lots of vegan options as well if that's something you're on the hunt for. I can't wait to stop in again and try more of their cakes and sweet treats. Happy to have you in Mile Square!

I got the original cinnamon roll and the April special, which was carrot cake. Also got a strawberry shortcake matcha. The rolls are big! Worth the price and wait in my opinion. I preferred the original over the carrot cake. The carrot cake roll had some big pieces of carrot lol a bit unexpected because I assumed the carrots would be a bit more finely grated. but not bad! the carrot taste is just a lot more prominent. strawberry shortcake matcha was good, but I think the cinnamon rolls are the real star here. There's a good amount of seating. Staff is very kind. Def want to come back to try the other special cinnamon roll flavors in the coming months!

They were very good, do not get me wrong. And if I lived in the area, I probably would come here quite often. However, they don't hold up well as leftovers so I would only buy what you're able to eat that day as it loses a lot once it's no longer fresh. The coffee was honestly nothing to write home about which surprised me since it looked better, maybe I got a bad batch. The store itself was cute inside, liked the little play area for kids. Again if I lived in the area, this would probably be a good spot to get work done. Maybe it's for the best that I live far... as I'd probably be getting cinnamon rolls far more often than I should be.

I've never eaten anything that I didn't like. My faves are: milhojas, breakfast croissant sandwich, and any and every cake with dulce de leche filling. I only tiny, minuscule complaint I have about this place is the lack of signage for the pastries and cakes. It would be nice to know what I'm looking at without having the ask. Absolutely zero gatekeeping here. Please everyone keep patronizing this establishment. I need this place to continue to exist in my hood.

So get anything fresh, like made to order cakes or things you see come out right when you're there. Otherwise you run the risk of getting old stuff, which sucks that they don't manage that at all. On a Sunday afternoon lines moved quickly and we were able to find seats. This is a cute cafe that offers plenty of savory items and lunches, plus drinks like matcha, cakes, pastries and cookies. There is also a bathroom! The women behind the counter were all nice and patient with my questions, they also kept the line moving and were quick. I had high hopes for the Alfajores as this is an Argentinian bakery but unfortunately the ones given to me were stale. The cookie was very hard. Also the Dulce de leche was too sweet and burnt tasting to me. I also got a chocolate covered one and the cookie in that was also hard and dry. The strawberry croissant was amazing. Never had anything like that before. Not too sweet and very flaky. It has a ribbon of red on the outside which gives it a unique look. I would love to come back and try savory items. I'll continue to stick with the cakes and croissants for desert and make sure it's fresh!

Place is a hole in the wall to the point that I walked right past it. Lone server inside was very friendly. Definitely a 'get your shit and go' kind of place, but what do you expect with Hoboken real estate. Got a red eye over ice, which was slightly burnt but still good. For food I tried the La Rustica sandwich, which has proscuitto, stracchino cheese and truffle cream on homemade bread. The bread was great and I could've had just that. Decent amount of proscuitto however the price ($16) justified that. Cheese didn't do much for the sandwich, as it was outmuscled by the proscuitto and just added a touch of cream. Truffle was similarly lost. All in all could do better, could do worse. Donut bites, on the other hand, were freaking money. Got 3 of the ones with custard and should've gotten a dozen. That made the place itself. Lots of other interesting things here worth trying. Wish I could a sandwich with mozzarella as there were plenty of others that looked good too. Definitely would give this another shot, as there's some good stuff here!
