If you have a sweet tooth like me, you are going to love the "bites" part of Boomerang Bites. They have a pretty big selection, and everything from passionfruit to key lime pie was on the menu. They were so tasty! You can get them as singles, or in little boxes perfect for taking a set of 3 or 4 or 6 or 10 or however many home for yourself, your housemates, your boyfriend, your mom. Anyone who likes a sweet treat really. They are a tad pricey, otherwise I'd make this my go to thing to bring as a hostess gift when visiting friends. I haven't tried any of the actual food and lunch dishes, but the soup that was on the specials board last time I stopped in for sure caught my eye. For drinks, I've had hot tea and matcha lattes and the hot tea paired kinda perfectly with my sweet bites. The combo we all need. I love this spot for many reasons. One main reason being how cute the decor is and how nice everyone that works there is. I was lucky enough to be able to go to the Yelp Elite event here which included 2 complimentary bites, a hot coffee or tea and 10% off additional purchases. I got a hot peppermint tea, one pumpkin oat bite and one chocolate caramel bite. It was the perfect mid day snack! This place was shockingly incredible. I say shockingly because I'm not really a snacky type of person, but the passionfruit bite and the rocky road were sooo tasty. I split them with my boyfriend who preferred the passion fruit, but I really liked the nutty and chocolatey rocky road. Boomerang Bites is a nice alternative to your typical bakery or patisserie. Housed in a cute and pleasant storefront, this is a little oasis where you can enjoy small but mighty treats. The bites are small, multi-layered squares that pack quite a bit into their tiny dimensions. We were offered samples on our arrival by the friendly woman working that day, and we quickly realized that the bites were very dense and filling. We ordered just three: the (sweet) chocolate caramel, key lime, and chocolate orange. Each was unique and very tasty. The chocolate orange had a layer of a fantastic orange gelee that went perfectly with the dark chocolate layer on top. The key lime bite started a little mild, but the key lime tartness crept in for a great finish (and was the lightest of the three). I also liked that they weren't bright green, which made me suspect all-natural ingredients. Finally, the chocolate caramel was delicious and substantive. The bites were $3 each at the time of this review. I thought it was pretty reasonable given how surprisingly filling they were. If you want a bit of dessert after a filling meal, or a unique gift of sweets for someone, Boomerang Bites is a fun choice. read more

A delightful little bake shop nestled right off of Washington on Newark Avenue. It's the perfect go to if you're looking for dessert to bring to a party or just a special treat. In addition to the little desserts, they have a few food items on the menu and coffee. The store is adorned with little trinkets for sale, many of which represent Australian culture and folklore. While nothing in the shop is inexpensive, it's definitely worth it for a special occasion. How happy I am to see this store open up in Hoboken! I've loved Boomerang Bites since I tried them at The Hive coffee shop in Hoboken and have been hooked since! (3-4 years now possibly!). They're these delicious, full of flavor small square bites that are kind of cookie/fudge/brownie/cake like depending on which flavor you have. It's really indescribable but they're sooo delicious! My favorite are the salted caramel, sweet caramel (without the salt), passion fruit, and the gluten free fruit and nut. They're the perfect sweet treat alone, after a meal or a small quick snack with coffee or tea. Upon my visit I also tried the chai tea with almond milk and added my own honey and it was also delicious. Great temperature and chai flavor--not too overpowering as some other chais I've had before. The service is great here, the women are really friendly and welcoming. And the ambience is very laid back and relaxing. I'm not a huge fan of the chair by the front windows as they feel very fragile to sit on but I look forward to checking out the backyard when the temperature warms up! read more

The boomerang bites are a perfect sized treat when you have a sweet tooth but don't want to over indulge with a big cake. With more than 15 different types of bites it can be hard to decide ! But we went with the choc caramel and the rocky road and boy were they decadent! Since we went for breakfast we got a flat white and a regular coffee and they were quite tasty. The real star however I believe was the red onion and brie bread which they warmed up for us. It wasn't too heavy but just perfect for a breakfast meal. This is almost like an unspoken secret bakery & coffee store in Hoboken! I've lived here for the past five years and I am always discovering amazing little shops in Hoboken. They specialize in small bite size cookie bases that at first glance you may think is a brownie - but it's not - they have an amazing assortment of small nuts, flavors, caramel and chocolate combinations. Boomerang Bites is a small bakery in Hoboken specializing in small square desserts. The space is very cute and warm. The service is friendly and helpful. They have allergen menus and list all the ingredients in their squares. There are several allergen friendly items for those allergic to nuts, sesame, eggs and nuts. They have many gluten free and vegan options as well. We ordered an assortment for Christmas dinner and they were a hit. The Bondi was excellent as was the Key Lime, Aznac, Fairy Shortbread, Hedgehog, Salted Chocolate Carmel and the Passion fruit. It would be nice, like a box of chocolates, if they had inserts to describe the flavors but obviously you could go to the website to confirm. Will definitely try these again. Visited the new Hoboken location today and it's really just meh. Glad I only ordered 2 of the bites to try before going all in and ordering a bunch to take home. They had a little plate of samples out with no toothpicks or separate sample cups or napkins so anyone trying would likely be touching other pieces on the plate - yuk and no thank you. Breads out on the counter are literally right under the faces of where customers are standing at the counter - not behind glass - again, no thank you.
