I am not a matcha person...never have been. But The Hive had me completely reconsidering my stance with their Blueberry Pie Matcha. Got it iced and honestly? It was delicious. The blueberry flavor is sweet and fruity in a way that completely takes the edge off the earthiness that usually turns me away from matcha. It tastes exactly like what it's named after dessert in a cup, but make it a drink. If you've been on the fence about matcha, this is your sign to just try it. The Hive will convert you.

This has been our go-to coffee shop for the last year or two! However, my last visit made me compelled to write this review. The quality has gone downhill...chocolate croissant felt day-old and dry. Originally their decaf coffee had 5 shots but they've reduced that too. The cinnamon rolls are starting to get too commercial and they are selling them frozen now. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Still ambiance is nice, but I hope they try to keep their quality![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came back here to try their coffee drinks and they were delicious: French toast chai latte - my favorite of the two drinks I got. Lots of cinnamon and spices, and not too sweet Salted caramel latte - the saltiness is nice but it was slightly too sweet for me Almond croissant - decent! not the best I've had but still pretty good S'mores cookie- the best cookie in JC imo. On par with levain Barista is always so kind and sweet.

I visit the Hoboken location quite often but I was in the area and decided to drop in for a matcha. The girls are so welcoming and friendly, made my drink perfectly (a little sweet with the seasonal apple caramel butter syrup) and it was delicious! The cold brew with house made cold foam and lavender oat latte are a few other favorites of mine here. So happy they opened up another location for people to experience this gem of a business. Cinnamon rolls are worth it. Original is delicious but every month they've been coming out with different flavors (maple bacon, blueberry pancake, cannoli, crumb cake, etc.). My son's favorite are the cookies. They also have a bunch of other pastries and goodies, daily. They have seasonal drinks too that are always a hit! (Fall, winter, Valentine's Day specials, spring and summer). [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're a mom with a younger child/toddler, they have a cute play space you can have your child play in for $5. Perfect meet up for small play dates - get your coffee/tea and have the kids play together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I finally got to try The Hives Cinnamon Rolls. They're worth the hype. They're delicious, and the Pink Palmer hibiscus and lemonade are so refreshing. It's worth checking out.

The café has a cozy atmosphere with playful alpaca-themed décor that gives it plenty of character without feeling overdone. Even with the constant activity outside in the Theater District, it feels like a nice place to step inside and enjoy a quiet break. The cream puffs were easily the highlight of my visit. I tried the Matcha Cream Puff, which had a crisp, cookie-like shell filled with a generous amount of smooth matcha cream. The matcha flavor was rich and earthy without being overly sweet, making it feel well balanced from the first bite to the last. I also liked that they rotate seasonal flavors, giving me a reason to come back and try something different. The pastry selection extends well beyond the cream puffs, with beautifully prepared cakes, tarts, and colorful macarons on display. Everything looked thoughtfully made, and pairing a pastry with one of their specialty drinks made for a great combination. The matcha latte complemented the desserts well, while options like the lavender latte offer something a little different if you are looking to branch out. The ordering process was quick and efficient, and the staff were friendly throughout my visit. Seating inside is fairly limited because of the café's smaller size, so it can be difficult to find a table during busy hours. Even so, it works just as well as a place to grab a pastry and drink to enjoy while exploring the neighborhood. Overall, Bibble & Sip is a great stop for anyone looking for high-quality pastries in a welcoming setting. The cream puffs, creative drinks, and unique atmosphere make it a place I would happily return to whenever I am near the Theater District.

The Jeju Green Tangerine Matcha honestly just tastes like a tangerine selter drink but in the best way, because I don't typically enjoy seltzer or carbonated beverages. I really enjoy the flavor and the carbonation isn't too strong, probably because I brought it home to drink. I don't really taste the matcha but I would definitely still order this again. 2. Matcha Einspanner. This is my first time having an Einspanner so I have no idea what I was expecting but this is DELICIOUS. It's so silky and smooth and the TASTE is just right up my alley. The matcha is light but you can still taste it. Absolutely, would drink this all the time if I could. 3. Purple Sweet Potato Latte. This. This. Omg, why haven't I tried this sooner?! The first sip and initial taste, I almost tasted nothing, just milk. And then all of a sudden, there's an explosion of flavor in your mouth. As a sweet potato lover, I was in heaven. I have absolutely no words for this drink, just try it. 100/10 recommend. This is probably my favorite one out of the 3 that I bought. I went around ... 2:45PM on a Friday and most of the seats were taken, if I remember correctly. There were a decent amount of seats and the space was decent. I liked the minimal aesthetic they had for the design of the interior. Not to forget, the staff at the register was absolutely wonderful, she answered all my questions, she's so sweet. I think I'm disappointed that I haven't tried this place sooner. Y'all get out of your comfort zone and try the Purple Sweet Potato Latte !! Or if not, just try this place out. I will definitely be recommending the Purple Sweet Potato Latte to all my family and friends.

While it was a fun and unique drink, I probably should have opted for something else. The topping was literally like actual tiramisu rather than just tiramisu flavoring, and it felt like there was more ice and tiramisu than latte. Personally, I would have preferred more of the tiramisu flavor without the full tiramisu texture mixed into the drink. That said, it was an interesting concept and I'm glad I tried it. I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying another latte on a future visit.

It happened to be 787 Coffee which I have visited plenty of times on the island and enjoy. With excitement and in Spanish I tell the cashier that I was happy to come across this place as I have tried them out in PR. How is it that this "jibara" apparently from Maricao, spoke to me in broken English while I am talking to her in our native language, total fail. Anyhow, I ordered the coquito hot latte with an extra shot of rum and oat milk, fine, I paid $11 for a very small coffee. Now what I can't believe is that the quesito pastry was $8. I really wanted it but it was not until I paid that I then noticed the price. I sat to eat it while I waited for my name to be called as mentioned by the cashier. I walked around looking at everything, the music very loud and hard for people sitting to have conversations, the place is very colorful and with many PR sayings, however the place also feels very Americanized with the music and layout. I still awaited my name to be called minutes later, but nothing. I approached the cashier, who was just standing there, to ask about my coffee and she wasn't able to tell me so she asked the barista steps away from her. He pointed to a cofre sitting on their counter, it had my name, and when I pointed out that I was waiting for my name to be called, she shrugged her shoulders and smiled like she didn't care. The coffee by now was not all that hot, I never tasted any rum or coquito flavor and felt I wasted my time at this place. What's more upsetting is that I left a nice tip for a service that was not provided. They couldn't even bring the coffee ti my table once they realized it was sitting there and they forgot to call my name. You can find better service elsewhere.
