We had high-hopes for this desi snack and ice cream shop near the Grove St PATH. They had flavors that are hard to find in the U.S. like sitaphal and kesar pista, and the snack menu includes a mix of Bombay style snacks and chaat. Unfortunately, things started to go downhill after a bite of the paneer Kathi roll. While the paneer itself was tasty and tender, the roti was clearly a frozen store bought parantha. The kesar pista ice cream had too much kesar, and both flavors tasted to us like Vadilal. The samosa chaat was good.

Rabri Malai Falooda was absolutely delicious Rich rabri, creamy malai, perfect sweetness and amazing texture. One of the best faloodas I've had. Highly recommended

I came to Harvy's after a work dinner around the corner at a pizza place. The ice cream was phenomenal! Lots of fun flavors with a great combination of the classics and desi-inspired flavors. I had the Sitafal but also tried samples of lychee and rabri and I can say that all three were excellent.

Visited Jersey City a few months back and was pleasantly surprised by this ice cream shop! It's small, located near thrift stores and other local shops. Besides some classic and fruity flavors, there's many unique Asian flavors to try. Staff was laid back and friendly.

Great spot -- this has become my go to for desi food in the downtown area, the prices are great for the quality and the staff and ambiance is very nice. The falooda here although is a little expensive is incredible, they also have farrero rocher ice cream which is SO GOOD

On this very hot day, I was in need for some ice cream, so I decided to check out Harvy's. They had a variety of flavors and the staff was friendly, recommending some flavors to sample. I tried the lychee (which she had recommended), mango and raspberry. The lychee was actually my favorite of the three, so I got it in a small cup ($4.09). It's pricey considering the size, but if you're going for quality over quantity, this is a good option to satisfy your ice cream craving.

They also have south Asian fusion desserts !

This was around the corner from one of my work sites and it was spicy out, so I decided to look for some ice cream. Harvey's was open while all the other businesses were still closed around 11am. The place is very clean and for the longest time I actually thought it was a Bar not a desert gelato joint. I was greeted by two people who were very nice and encouraged me to taste different flavors of gelato. I would say they have the most diverse flavors from Asia in this shop, none of the flavors such as taro, mango, strawberry, butterscotch crunch, pistachio, or lychee was lacking any type of flavor. It was bursting . I opted for a smoothie. It was made by lychee and strawberry sorbet and it was so yummy. I would say the price is very fair given the quality of the gelato. You could also mix and match which ever sorbet is available not just what is on the menu screen. I can't wait to come back and get a butterscotch gelato in a bubble waffle!

My first time enjoying Indian ice-cream flavors - so many amazing classics (which they do great) in addition to flavors that I never thought I'd enjoy in ice cream form. Awesome atmosphere/vibe and helpful staff to boot.

This looked like yesterday's leftovers reheated and dumped into a box. Dry chicken, sad rice, zero veggies, zero effort. If this is 'chicken over rice,' then expectations here are on the floor.

Some really unusual flavors here. I had the mango which I believe is gelato, though it wasn't labeled as such. It was delightful though the portion was pretty small. My granddaughter got a small twist. It was a lot more expensive than I had imagined. Services is good and there is indoor and outdoor seating.I am not sure if there is parking available because it is a very busy part of town.

    Chickpeas were amazing!

The food was delicious tonight. The service was awesome and the ambience was perfect for this snowy evening. My daughter had some ice cream and I grabbed this phenomenal dish. I definitely will be back!

What an elevated and uniquely cultured ice cream experience!!! I hope they're here to stay it's quite the best. As an ice cream and travel connoisseur, this beats any other ice cream shops in the area. I love an elevated ambiance and cleanliness. I didn't expect a bar stool concept of seating, let alone pretty chairs and ample seating. The many Indian flavors and their excitement to detail them all was perfect. I learned while here and that is what smart people enjoy and it makes ice cream educational/culturally immersive for American children of the area. I love that! I surprisingly liked every Indian flavor I tried (still more to try on a next visit didn't want to overdo it lol) except the jamun -- it's an acquired taste by far and I'm not a tart lover. Many dairy free options. The staff were very accommodating when I noticed two flavors were at the end of the container and looked unpleasant to even taste test, I gently spoke up about it and they understood bringing out a fresh container for me to taste and I wound up loving the flavor so bought a scoop as well. We sat in to eat the ice cream...beware if you're short like my friend the stools are high so good luck hopping up lol they do have tables as well with ground level height though. The menu is quite large here and I look forward to trying other items next! Go, enjoy!!!

This is a hidden gym in Jersey City downtown. If you are salivating for a great tasting ice cream with different type of flavors and you happen to be leaving your local gym could be CycleBar or nearby Pilates guess what great way to replenish those carbs is to come to Harvys and get the delicious ice cream. My friend and I come here and we love this place. We love the rich array of seasonal ice cream is great and ambience is friendly and has lots of lively music.

Holding it or tasting it gives a substantial, high-quality feel. However, the consequence is that even the staff struggles to scoop it out with their spherical ice cream scoops, let alone the disposable plastic spoons provided to customers. Green Tea: The highest praise Chinese people can give for desserts--not sweet--and it truly tastes like green tea, not matcha. The refreshing bitterness was incredibly pure, even bordering on slightly bitter, which is extremely rare in the US. Vanilla Peanut Butter: Very milky, but extremely salty, like eating peanut butter spread on bread. The vanilla flavor was almost completely masked. Coconut & Cream: I've always trusted American coconut ice cream, but this time it was a bit of a disappointment. The cream completely overshadowed the coconut, so much so that it took me a long time to recall what flavor I actually ordered. Ube: One bite brought back childhood memories, exactly the same as the ube flavor Wuyang五羊 ice cream cone. It was so touching I didn't order this in the end since I want to try more flavors as possible. I don't know why, but ube flavor seems to be gradually fading in China... Blueberry Cheesecake: The initial taste was a rich, sweet cream, with a refreshing hint of blueberry tartness in the aftertaste. It's pretty good, but honestly, it's not particularly outstanding. Banana Peanut Butter Chunk: The staff recommended this signature dish, and it once again made me realize how subjective taste can be... It's on the sweeter and saltier side, with a very strong flavor, but more importantly, it has a noticeable artificial banana flavor.

The regular and matcha have both been good in my experience. I don't like chocolate cake, so I haven't tried that variety. I wish the pumpkin was available in the smaller size too! I've tried their boba, and it isn't good. The hot teas are okay but not great. They're pretty much just syrup and milk. I would avoid the drinks and just get the desserts! Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.
