The cutest store with great gelato, pastry, and sandwich options! The service was great and there was little to no wait. Love the vibe of the cafe with free wifi too it's a nice hangout/date spot! The shortbread cookies are not too sweet with perfect texture, sandwich was delicious after toasting! Would come again for sure

Wowowowow!!! This place is an authentic little gem! My friend & I stopped in after some shopping to grab a quick coffee and got way more than we expected! I ordered the tiramisu latte with oat milk, amazing! And they had these stunning sandwiches in the display, so I had to try the mortadella & mozzarella sandwich. They warmed it up for me and it was so perfect! The guy working there had an Italian accent and he was super nice and helpful. The cafe itself has a cute and cozy feel with a bunch of little tables for sitting. There were a few people there with laptops. My friend & I agreed we should come back to do work sometime.

What a nice addition to Washington Street! Julietta is charming. It has a small amount of seating inside and a small terrace. It's nicely decorated and very instagram-able (pink, gold, marble). Staff are friendly, it's counter service and prices are in line with other cafes in town. Coffee is good and they serve it in china cups which I like a lot. They have ice cream, a good selection of cookies and pastries and a small selection of focaccia sandwiches. They seem quite trend driven with their flavors so there is currently lots of pistachio items, Dubai Chocolate ice cream etc. We ordered a Bombolone (donut) and a croissant, both with pistachio cream fillings. I'd probably go for a plain croissant next time, as I didn't enjoy the pistachio cream as much as I was expecting to (that's on me though). The croissant is Italian/Spanish style rather than French style, it's harder and crispier than a French croissant, but it was nonetheless very good. Coffee was strong but smooth. We'll be back!

Food service and ambiance were perfect!!! And the price- so affordable!!! Drinks were below 5 dollars and pastries were one dollar !!! What a deal! The food and drinks were excellent. Had the tiramisu latte and my girls had a decaf chamomile tea served in a cute pot. I also tried their cappuccino. Wish I live near. I recommend this place!!!

This place is awesome. It's so cute and cozy. Coffee is great, gelato delicious and sandwiches were on point. Super friendly staff. My new neighborhood go to spot.

Amazing Gelato! Julietta is cozy and welcoming - perfect to get a delicious ice cream during a stroll in Hoboken or to have a sweet (or savory) break at one of the indoor or outdoor seating (highly recommended their Crema Caffè). I wanted to get all the flavors, but eventually went for Caramel Fig - SO good! Their super nice staff let me try also the Ferrero Rocher and their new Mulberry flavor: I already know what to get next time I'll be there!

    Ferrero Rocher Gelato

I love the delicious variety of panini with their tasty ingredients, and the Ferrero Rocher gelato is an absolute must-try!

We came in around 1:30pm on Saturday and there was a line, but I didn't wait longer than 20 minutes. There's really no menu on site, so you can kind of just listen to what people are ordering and figure out what sounds good. Originally, I was going to get two sandwiches, but I saw the size of them and decided we really only needed one full one. I got the gravy on the size, which I definitely recommend if you're going to be eating it even just a little bit later. This worked well for us, as we had about a 20 minute drive home. The mozz was fantastic and so was the roast beef. I would come back just to order both by the pound. I didn't love the bread, so I think my next step would be to just buy all the ingredients myself and then provide my own bread at home. Service was very prompt and friendly.

I've lived in or been visiting NYC since the 60s and never noticed this place. I peeked in and saw that it looked authentic. I made a mental note to come back when dinner time rolled around. I looked over the menu and ordered their namesake, the Cappone: Capicola, Soppressata, Salami, Provolone, Arugula, Mozzarella, Hot Peppers. I asked which bread they recommended (seeded loaf) and went with that. It was an exemplary sandwich. Plus it was enough for 2 meals! I cannot recommend them high enough. 100 stars!

If you like italian sandwiches definitely check this place out. I think after trying several italian sandwich spots I don't think it's necessarily for me but the meatball sub was tasty and definitely worth the money. It's a small mom and pop shop vibe inside and you can order ahead which is great because sometimes the line gets really long especially on the weekends. The people were nice. It's close to a park so you can eat outside with a coffee and enjoy a quick lunch. It's nice to have a place that is a little more no-frills in the west village and you can pick it up on a lazy weekend, in the middle of a workday, etc.

I had been saying for days that I was craving a good Italian deli sandwich, and my partner came across Vito's & Son Italian Deli in Hoboken. Well, it does not get much more authentic than this. What an experience. You know how some Italian restaurants say they make you feel like family? At Vito's, we actually felt it the moment we walked in. The welcome was warm, genuine, and immediate -- the kind of hospitality that cannot be faked. As we browsed the extensive deli menu, I had to ask what "mutz" meant. I am from Chicago, where we usually say "mozz," so this was my first time seeing it written in what I can only call New Jersey-ian. Without hesitation, they gave us a sample of their fresh, in-house-made mozzarella, and it was absolute perfection -- soft, fresh, creamy, and exactly what fresh mozzarella should be. We took several subs to go, and every single one was delicious. I had The Vito's, which was incredibly satisfying -- packed with that classic Italian deli flavor and everything I had been craving in a sub, and then some. My partner had The Sophia Loren, which was also full of flavor and definitely worth ordering again. My mom had what I ordered as a custom Caprese sandwich since I could not find it on the extensive menu -- mutz, fresh basil, tomato, balsamic vinaigrette, and herbs. It was so fresh, simple, and delicious. We also tried the arancini. The traditional one brought back memories of what used to be some of the best arancini in Chicago at Monastero's, which sadly is no longer around. That is not a comparison I make lightly. The cheese arancini was also wonderful, and the sauce was divine. Personal preference: I could have used just a touch more salt in the sauce, but the flavor was still excellent. Of course, we could not leave without dessert. The cannoli had the perfect balance of softness and crunch, and the filling was delicious. And naturally, we had to take home a pound of that fresh mutz. When we got home, we turned the leftovers into the perfect little Italian deli dinner. We thinly sliced the remaining halves of the subs, added fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette, and wine. It became a charcuterie-style dinner that felt like the perfect ending to the trip. Taking a detour through Hoboken was absolutely worth it. Some Italian restaurants claim to treat you like family, but at Vito's & Son, we truly felt it. We are already planning another stop on our next trip because we still need to try the homemade freezer dishes -- and, of course, the homemade tiramisu. If you have not been to Vito's & Son Italian Deli, do yourself a favor and go. Authentic, welcoming, delicious, and completely worth the detour.
