Twin Peaks Fans Unite!…read more Just wanted to leave a very well put review on this motel that we stayed at! My Fiancé and I reserved and stayed at mysterious room #6 which incase if you already know... this was the same exact room in Fire Walk With Me with Laura Palmer and Ronette Pulaski were seen in. I got to say. Staying in this exact film site location was amazing! Leo, one of the hotel managers made sure we were taken care of as far as booking this special room for our eventful weekend for Fire Walk With me with Shery Lee and made sure we had access to our room! Definitely would stay here again at this establishment and would encourage any twin peaks fans to reserve room #6 when you can or you can get room #8 for phillip jeffries room as well incase you can't get #6, but trust me. This place you enter is both wonderful and strange as Dale Cooper would say and was definitely a magical stay here at Mt. Si Motel aka Red Diamond Motel.

The accommodations are a bit basic (which is honestly a first world problem anyways) and the place…read moreitself looks a bit shady with the junky-looking parking lot but it's honestly a decent spot. Don't let the exterior deceive you. The lady at the front office was very friendly, the room was clean and didn't smell weird, and it's not far away from the town at all. Everything is a 3-5 min drive or if you're in need of some exercise, a 25-30 min walk depending how far you wanna go. You also have the added benefit of less traffic since the location isn't as close to the town center as the other hotels. I recommend the place. Don't be afraid to try it out. I also assume it's cheaper than the other spots too.

Signage is excellent throughout, easy to subtract or add miles to your hike. AllTrails shows many trails, but as usual, their mileage is usually short of what you will put in. This is a very easy fun trail, maybe a bit more challenging when more bikers are out, but this time only a few bikes and almost had the trail to myself. Grateful always for the quiet and nature time. I know I take pictures of mushrooms, plants, and fruit, but please, please! Use your discretion, I would not recommend eating any mushrooms or fruit off the trail unless you're 120% it's edible, I've taken many horticultural and mycology classes and I'm still very very careful with fruit, let alone mushrooms, err on the side of your safety, it's your life and health you're putting at risk. Just sayin' be safe be wise, it is life or death stuff. There's a lot of poison stuff out there. Better to just enjoy nature, truthfully. Getting back to the trail, this is one for just getting outdoors and getting some good n easy miles in. Love all the woods, sadly a lot of the streams are drying out. It is summer. Lots of birds and squirrels about, even heard quite a few owls hooting about. Have fun out there! It's summer! Happy hiking! Yelping! God bless and Cheers!

Ok place to hike but beware there were a few mountain bikers on our hike and yield to them.read more
