3.2.24 Service Hubby and I started at the bar while we waited for friends. Hubby and I struck up a conversation with the owner who was friendly and personable. Owner worked the bar and served drinks, but also came around and took order for drinks when we transitioned to our table. We later had a server who was great too and came by frequently to clear our table and asked if we needed anything. Ambiance Fun and cute Irish decor throughout the pub. Loved the vibe. Bar, dining, and patio seating. Live music at 8pm on Saturdays. Drinks Extensive menu of wine, whiskey, and beer. Happy hour on all pints (16 oz), Glass Wines and Rail Spirits, Monday-Friday from 4-7pm and all day on Sundays (only at the bar). $2 off on bottles and cans in Saturdays. Food Menu Weekly Specials include: Monday: half priced burgers (night and dine-in only) Tuesday: unlimited veggie curry Wednesday: prime rib Saturday/Sunday Brunch (11am-3pm) Food Rating -Fish and Chips: average -Reuben sandwich: delish -mozzarella sticks: good -calamari: average -banofee pie: average (Friend wanted to come here as she was on a mission to try this, but sadly it disappointed.) Final Impression Love the service and ambiance. I don't drink so can't comment on it. Food was decent, but didn't have anything that was noteworthy. A great pub for St. Paddy's Day approaching.

Cool Irish Pub! Stopped by during happy hour to catch up with my favorite Yelper. We sat at the bar. Great service by Lauren and Louie. I wasn't hungry so I can't speak on the food. Drinks were good. I was impressed with the selection of bourbon/whiskey! I ended up trying a new one, Heaven's Door - I liked it. The customers seem to be regulars. I like this type of vibe. I would come again and try the food. Parking wasn't bad - found a metered spot. Definitely pay the meter - they do check!

Nice little spot with nice staff. Food was pretty good and they had a ton of local beers, both on tap and in bottles/cans.

I went on a Tuesday (COVID times) for my actual birthday. I called ahead to reserve an outdoor table for safety issues, and also so my friend and I could bring our dogs. Unfortunately severe rain was predicted so I called ahead and asked to be seated indoors. No problem, they said. We arrived promptly at 6:30 and were surprised to see the county surface lot direct across from them on Price Street was marked as free, yay! I am now thankful we were seated indoors because everyone seated outdoors was smoking! It smelled awful. If we had our dogs we would have had to leave. Once inside it was a different story. There were only two other tables occupied. They had moved out many tables so proper social distancing was enforced. I ordered a shandy which hit the spot. I haven't had a beer since this pandemic began. (I can't say the same thing about wine though.) I got the fish and chips and my friend had a hamburger. The fish was tender inside the perfectly crisped batter. They give you oodles of fries which my friend was able to help me out with, and I still had leftovers. I accidentally deleted my picture, but there are others on this page to view. But perhaps the best part of my meal was my birthday treat (On the house thanks to an email that arrived that afternoon)... bread pudding. This was the hugest piece I have ever seen served in a restaurant. And it was warm and delicious. I only ate a small portion there, and had two additional servings later. Get this! Overall, it was a happy birthday for me. This was my first time dining out during the pandemic. I cannot praise them enough for all they do to keep everyone safe. Our server made it a pleasurable experience too.

We had an hour to kill between events and needed to grab a bite. I saw that there are a bunch of vegan options (even for brunch!), so this spot was the choice. Holy cow, it was awesome. The server was fantastic and on it. I didn't even mention we were in a slight rush, and we were still in and out in 45 minutes. Food was hot and fresh-- and delicious. The kid's menu was pleasing to my kid. I got a great brunch sandwich with vegan egg, and my husband enjoyed his dish, too. It's Silver Spring, so parking is always fun. There's a nearby lot, though, so it's not awful. Cannot wait to go back, and highly recommend you visit, too!

This will be my go to Irish pub in the area. Fantastic Reuben sandwich with lots of vegetarian options for the wife and daughter. There's an excellent brunch menu using just-egg which is a great "fake egg" alternative. I think this even makes the place great for vegans. That's truly rare for an Irish pub. Service was absolutely amazing, it was seat yourself but as soon as we sat down we had water and a server at our table. We happened to glance up at what our daughter was pointing at and the waiter came over immediately and if we need anything. Great service, fantastic food, rare Irish pub for vegetarians/vegans

My husband is a die-had Arsenal fan and was overjoyed by the chaotic bar scene he encountered as soon as he entered. The City + Arsenal game had the entire bar packed with fans from both sides pulling up random seats wherever there was a free space. We came a bit late into the game but found a seat in a quieter area of the restaurant that still had good television access. With the dreary rain outside, it felt like we had settled right in a proper British pub! Food wise: - For my husband: Wings were generous, grilled, and delicious with interesting flavors - For me: Fish and chips were light, flakey, and came with some of the best house cut fries I've ever had. - For the kiddos: Although they had a kids menu, my daughters decided to split some pancakes (basically crepes with raspberries and cream sauce, scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Portions are more than generous and the managers were bustling around, talking shop, and thanking everyone who walked through their door. We will definitely be back!

The place is incredibly clean, nicely decorated, and just welcoming. I was seated promptly, and my waitress recommended the Irish stew, which is what I went with. She also recommended a very tempting tasting flight, and I'm not going to admit to enjoying that while on lunch break. I'm not denying it. I'm just not admitting it. The stew was fantastic and really hearty. It warmed me up almost as much as the flight of... tea did. I couldn't resist getting dessert. My wife saw they had black bean soup and a pork special, so we decided to stay and were seated. Since our last visit about a year ago, they've made some changes. The seating has been updated, with a second bar added along with high-top tables and booths. The space looks very nice. Our server came over, took our drink order, and we asked for a bowl of the black bean soup. When he returned, my wife asked how the pork special was, and he said it was very good, so she ordered it. I ordered the cod fish and chips. When the food came out, everything looked good at first. Unfortunately, the fish and chips were very greasy -- it seemed like the fries were placed on the plate to soak up the grease from the fish. My wife's pork dish was worse. She was given two slices with connective tissue running through them that were so tough she couldn't even get a fork into them. The other piece was also extremely tough and difficult to cut, and the gravy had no flavor. When our server finally came back to check on us, my wife showed him the pork. His response was simply that he would let the manager know and take it off the bill. There was no offer to replace the dish or bring her something else to eat. After that, we never saw him again. My wife eventually asked another server for tea, which a different server brought. Later, another server came by to see if we were finished. I asked how much the eggnog was, and she quoted the price for a bottle, said I just want a glass, she said I'll get you a menu I explained to another waitress I just wanted a glass. Eventually, I got it -- though I asked for it without ice, and it still came with ice. At that point, I just drank it. The best thing was the bean soup. Overall, this was not a good meal and honestly the worst experience we've had in the 10+ years we've been coming here. Between the food quality and the lack of follow-up from our server, it was very disappointing. It will be quite a while before we return.
