We've ordered takeout from The Lime multiple times and it's always great, but last night really stood out as awesome. The food was ready in the 15 minutes that they said on the phone, and everything is packed up with care. I really appreciate how they give you little pats of butter with the warm fresh baked bread. I always love their salmon - tried the Cajun salmon for the first time and it was delicious. The pineapple mango sauce really balanced out the spicy. A little neighborhood gem! read more

Small hole in the wall restaurant close to Valencia a Mexican restaurant my office frequents. We were excited the menu had vegan options and decided to give it a try. We started out with a nacho appetizer - the chips were stale and all of the beans were at the bottom of the container making it difficult to get a good scoop. My one co worker had the California burger and let me know the ingredients were fresh but lacked much of the flavor. The other coworker had Malibu chicken roll up and had the Same problem as the nachos. All the salad was on top while the chicken was at very bottom and lacked flavor. I had the Malibu chicken salad which was good the honey mustard dressing was very flavorful and chicken was tender. I've been ordering food from the Lime for at least 25 years. It has always been good until tonight. My husband picked up our order for a Zucchini Loaf with cheese and Salmon Dijonnaise. The zucchini loaf was so salty it was inedible and the salmon sauce was only Dijon mustard. I called and spoke to Susan who told me that it was me.... Very, very disappointed as the Zucchini Loaf has been a favorite of mine. Susan didn't care, U was floored. I really miss Lisa and the former owner! read more

I had one of the worst customer service experiences at Lime Restaurant recently, and I'm deeply disappointed--especially since I've been a loyal customer for years. I stopped in for a carryout veggie burger, something I've ordered many times before. From the moment I asked whether the veggie burger was still on the menu, the person behind the counter--possibly the owner--responded with obvious irritation. He repeated three times, in a rude and dismissive tone, that the veggie burger was indeed on the menu. It was clear from the start that he had no interest in serving me. Despite the attitude, I went ahead and placed my order. Later, I asked for one extra container to keep the pita separate and prevent the sandwich from getting soggy during my hour-long drive home. His response? "That'll be 50 cents." Not the charge that bothered me--it was the tone and the unnecessary comment that followed: "I've never had anyone ask for an extra container." That statement, coupled with his attitude, was enough for me to walk out. It was obvious he would rather lose a customer than accommodate a simple, reasonable request. The interaction felt dismissive and demeaning, and frankly, I left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. This was never about 50 cents. It was about basic respect and decent service--something every customer deserves, especially one who has supported your business for years. read more

Arrived at restaurant with a service dog. Showed the badge to the manager, Patrick, who looked at my friend and said she wasn't blind and didn't have a visible disability so we couldn't stay. He was ignorant and rude and I'm pretty sure in violation of the American Disability Act. I asked to speak to the owner and he just told me the owner was not available. I tried to reason with him quietly but he was adamant that this dog could not be in the restaurant. Even the customers were confused and irritated. One customer said we should leave a review and recommended other nearby restaurants to try. Would never go back into this restaurant. read more

The Lime Restaurant is located in Norwalk CT @ 168 Main Street They have amazing vegan and non vegan options. Pictured is the vegetarian black bean chili. When I tell you it was amazing!!! We weren't missing any meat at all. Seasoned to perfection and the cheese melted gracefully in the chili. The sour cream and chips were just enough to polish the bowl. Y'all know I was looking for more right ..lol. But you know greedy old me had to get the blackened chicken wrap. The wrap is overstuffed with the best blackened chicken that I've tasted. It's been quite a few years since I've been to The Lime and I'm so happy after all this time, that I've refound it. It's still as quaint as it always was and the delicious healthful menu options made from scratch were simply outstanding. Certainly one of the best meals I've had in a while. Open for 40 years now, The Lime, has stood the test of time in a very competitive Fairfield County market. We shared the Falafel Sate appetizer, I had the vegan split pea soup and the Grilled Salmon Dijonnaise. All super yummy and filled with amazing flavor. The bread (vegan) was so good, we bought a loaf to take home with us. The servers were not only charming, but appear to find delight in making our experience so welcoming, there would be no reason not to want to come back. I wasn't crazy about it 10 years ago, but it was the only place open when we needed lunch and both of our meals were inedible. It was my first time trying the Lime Restaurant and I really enjoyed the food I ordered. The restaurant had only one patron when I walked in fir my takeout pickup. My food was ready to go and it was a quick and easy pickup. To give a time and day of the week perspective, Monday's at noon may be a great time to try the Lime. The server or host who handed me my order was so kind. So delicious! This is a great place to come for a nice health meal - you know the ingredients are so fresh. They have fantastic wraps and huge salads. They don't skimp on the portions and the prices are right - expect wrap/salad to be $10-12, totally worth it. While this is not the place to come to get a greasy burger and fries or a large pizza, it's the best spot I've found for a healthy lunch. They even add avocado for free, awesome! They typically have a homemade iced tea and it's so good! They also offer basic beer and wine, which is nice on occasion. Small location - few seats and can get noisy when it's full, but you can catch them at an off time and have a relaxing lunch! read more

Amazing selection and service for a large family lunch with outoftowners visiting. We had a vegetarian in tow and this place had something for EVERYONE! Including the kids 9 years, 5 years, and 2 years old. Get them the chicken and rice.. My picky 5 year old ate ALL of it. And it's in bite size pieces. I cannot recommend this place enough. Do you like humus? If yes, they have excellent homemade humus. And a huge humus platter with lots of veggies and pita (you can get extra veggies and no pita if you ask). If no, you must try it here; will change your mind. Portion is large; perfect for sharing. Everything is fresh. Veggies, fish. Grilled salmon salad and the Asian salad are my favorites. I have been going to The Lime since 2006. Don't let the outside fool you, the food, which leans toward healthier fare, is terrific. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal there in all of these years and I go to The Lime often. I was relieved that the restaurant survived Covid and a change in ownership. And I was thrilled that the new owner kept the well-loved recipes that have made The Lime a favorite. The only downside in recent years has been the diminished portion size of the salad that comes with the main dinner entrees and having to ask for the fresh baked bread, which always used to arrived without fail. Very disappointed in the fact that their Lime Salad has practically shrunk to the size of a side salad. It doesn't even fill the container it comes in, which again is smaller then ever, and the price has gone up. I can understand the increase in price, but not how small it's gotten, not to mention there is barely any ingredients in it. Ordered food 1/30/21. Absolutely loved their vegetarian options. Got the food home and oh boy.. what a disappointment. The wraps apparently have rice in them and it's supposed to be crunchy, but was hard as rock. We landed up wasting 3 orders. The black bean quesadilla was swimming in cheese with a horrible after taste. Called up the restaurant and spoke to the lady who takes orders and tried to explain, totally unhelpful. She said rice was supposed to crunchy.. YES I DO UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CRUNCHY AND STONE HARD. Sooo disappointed. read more

Been going to Valencia's for the last 10+ years, always thought that I'd like try Lime, and finally did. They're located just a couple businesses down from Valencia. Parking is fairly limited, I snagged the last spot in the small lot behind the restaurant. Otherwise your options are a few on the side street or on the busy street out front. The inside is fairly small and cozy. It can get a bit cold with people coming in and out, but the traffic slowed after 7:30pm, so worked out ok. Also by the looks of the number of cars out front and in the lot, they do a lot of sales with Grubhub and Ubereats. Great choices of food dishes from meat to vegan. I decided to go vegan. Had the black bean burrito with rice and veggies, along with a salad with tahini dressing. Everything was very good. read more

Lime Restaurant has been around since 1979 and there's a reason why... they serve good healthy food. We stopped by for a late lunch today and ordered 2 different Roll-Ups. ** Not sure I can justify spending $28 (incl tip) for 2 lunch wraps. ** ~Roast Turkey with Cranberry Dressing (11.95) - I loved this wrap. The house roasted turkey was moist, the veggies crunchy and the creamy cranberry dressing was really good. ~ El Miguel (10.95)- Roast Turkey, avocado, cheese and chipotle sauce. Also very good. They both came with a very small side of cold brown rice salad that was bland and forgettable. read more

My Wife and a friend went for lunch today at The Lime. I stayed home. They each took their car. We only have 1 car. I get a phone call from the friend telling me they are at Norwalk Hospital and my Wife is in the Emergency Room. My Wife started choking on her food in the restaurant. An ambulance had to take her to the hospital. The friend followed the ambulance in her car. They dislodged a walnut from her throat. I was told to wait home because they were going to release her after a couple of hours observation. The friend waited there and brought my Wife home. I tucked my Wife into bed, and the friend took me to get our car, which was still at The Lime. During the ride there, she told me they charged them for the lunch. I could not believe it. When we got to the restaurant, we both went in and spoke to the Manager, who was also their Server, so he knew what happened. I asked him how could he charge them for the food when she was choking in the restaurant and they called 911 for an ambulance. The Manager said they did nothing wrong, and he saw no reason for any consideration. There were other people in the restaurant now, watching and listening to this. I apologized to them. They said no need. The Manager was totally in the wrong. This went on at least 5-10 minutes. The Manager refused to refund anything. I said fine. But I waved my IPhone at him on the way out, and told him I was putting this on the Internet. He started following me out and said ok, ok, I'll refund your money. I looked over my shoulder and said too late. You really showed how classless and heartless you are. Thank G-D my Wife is ok, and in bed sleeping. My only regret was not getting the Manager's name, but he had to be 45-60 years old. Update: Speaking with the Manager now. read more
