Yes, it's the restaurant inside of the hotel. I dined here three times during my stay at Crown Plaza Hotel. They have a buffet that has items that rotate each day, so you could literally choose the buffet everyday and have different options. The first day I choose the buffet and filled up mainly on the salad options, so the next day at lunch I inquired about getting just salad and I was pleasantly informed that getting the salad bar only is only $7.50! Score! The first day when I got the full buffet, my tea was included. But when I got the salad bar solely, I was charged an extra $2.50 for my tea. The food was fantastic but the service was despicable. I didn't come into contact with one single pleasant or remotely nice person there. When I asked for a refill after Mary passed by my empty glass several times, she literally shushed me. She said that she had to take someone else's order first. There is a bar area separate from the restaurant that you can order from the same menu. The first night I had the club sandwich and it was so good that my husband ordered it the next day for lunch. His was a lot different... obviously prepared by a different chef. Both were great though, don't get me wrong. My cousin ordered the club sandwich and fries later on the first night and after quiet awhile, she asked where her food was. The bartender went to the back and brought it out... all cold. My cousin mentioned it to her and she brought out a side of fries, but not a replacement sandwich that was also suppose to be toasted and warm. I'm quite certain that fault was of the bartender leaving it back there too long. They certainly need some training...

1st of all this is located within the Crown Plaza Hotel. I really don't frequent hotel restaraunts but was really tired and sun baked and thought, this would be okay for a meal. I grabbed the specials page off the check in counter. Walked into the place and we're promptly Dat at a booth. The waitress was nice, she came over and gave us a menu and drink list. I ordered a loc as long IPA in the bottle because all they had on draft was Cooks and Bud.....yuk. She promptly brought our drinks and took out order. I ordered the special, half rack of ribs with two sides. We waited about 30 minutes until out meal arrived. A little wait but after all, they are ribs that do take time. The meal had great presentaion. Loaded mash potatoes, asparagus and the 1/2 rack of ribs. Okay, these were the smallest asparagus in the world. They tasted okay. The mashed potatoes were awesome. Now for the ribs. Ribs take time and finesse. They were dry as cardboard. Had to ask for extra bbq sauce just to get them down the chute. I ate three out of hunger then just threw in the napkin. Now, it's been another 30 minutes since we got our food and the waitress just disappeared. Still waiting as I would really just like to pay.......still waiting......

I had dinner here last night with a friend. This restaurant is located inside of the Crowne Plaza Hotel. We had a glass of wine in the lounge prior to going into the restaurant... Once going in we had to wait quite a while to be served. We only had two appetizers and that took quite a while to come out also asked for water had to wait for that as well. Nothing horrible nothing terrible I guess just your basic hotel restaurant experience. The food was OK.

    Seafood stew. Half portion. $14.

You feel like you're going back in time about 40 years - and that's actually a good thing. The staff are all extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. I had the steak omelette. I've eaten many steak omelettes and this is the first time I've ever been able to order the steak cooked to my preference. Most places serve them well done. I asked for medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. It also had cheese and diced green peppers and onions. Nice size and great flavor. Their hash browns were perfect - crispy on the outside but tender inside. The pancakes are large and nicely prepared - not too heavy but not too light! The waffles are also very good - very large and circular - not as thick as Belgian waffles but very good nonetheless. The fried sliced loaded potatoes were excellent. Cheese, bacon, peppers and onions - again, very tasty. Finally, biscuits and sausage gravy were also very good. The gravy had plenty of sausage in it and it was not too runny and not too thick! If we're ever in town again we will definitely be back!

We did a spot quickly and the server did their best to stay on top of things. What stands out is the decor. Amazing Speedway and race decor! A fun spot! We ordered breakfast items and for the price I have to admit I was slightly underwhelmed. I appreciated they did a breakfast bowl, but it seemed small and mostly hash browns. The flavor was ok but needed spices or cheese or something to pump it up. Maybe I don't know what to order but my impression was it was fun to try but not a go to spot. I might try something going again and getting something g else but there are a lot of such places where the eggs are fluffy and full which I would probably try first.

My boyfriend and I came on Mother's day (unintentionally) and we waited about 10-15 minutes to sit at the bar. Getting our orders taken & our food served definitely took a bit of time, but we enjoyed seeing all the cooks in action and getting to smell all the amazing smells!! I got Grandpa's one pan skillet and my boyfriend got the sausage breakfast sandwich on croissant bread. All I gotta say is those chefs definitely knew what they were doing! The flavors were unique and intentional and I enjoyed every bite. The home fries (potatoes) were also so yummy and everything was cooked really well. There's nothing basic about borage and I love that! This place is a gem. They also have a cafe/market area where you can order drinks and pastries. I wish we waited until we got seated to order drinks because the menu was much more extensive than what I saw in the cafe and I would have ordered a different drink had I seen all the other options. The staff here are also very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our little brunch and will be back with family next time!

We started with Tony's Favorite Nachos which consist of steak, chicken, chorizo or pulled pork (we chose steak) sautéed onions, peppers, house made queso, pico de gallo, guacamole, and black beans on top of freshly fried tri-colored chips. The flavors were truly amazing and often places skimp on the 'stuff' and give you a million chips - Dawsons has the perfect proportion so if anything, you have 'stuff' after the chips are gone. We loved these nachos and were from Texas so that says a lot. We also tried the Firecracker Shrimp, which are shrimp tossed in house-made honey sriracha sauce. These were unlike anything I've had. They had a crispy crunchy exterior and the sauce was to die for - I would buy the sauce alone if I could! It had heat but not crazy heat and the flavor was superb. Our table had the Beef Stroganoff. I must say I am not a fan of beef stroganoff - but this actually was prepared very well and had a very good flavor which kind of surprised me! We also tried the TriColored Tortellini with Chicken which had chicken, mushrooms, peas, sun-dried tomatoes and pesto cream sauce. The flavors were amazing together and I could have eaten more of this as well! We also had the Blackened Chicken Quesadilla which was a Cheddar jalapeño tortilla filled with sautéed chicken, black beans, roasted corn, house tomato relish, roasted red peppers, spinach, Cheddar and Mozzarella cheese. It was served with sour cream and Dawson's Cajun ranch. Although this was on the appetizer menu, it was easily an entree. It was stuffed with the ingredients and very flavorful and filling. All of the ingredients blended together very well and offered a mouth full of flavor in every bite! Finally, we tried the Bayou Chicken Salad which comes with Blackened chicken on top of iceberg/romaine mix with black beans jalapenos, roasted corn, fresh guacamole, house tomato relish, Cheddar, and Mozzarella cheese. It's served with tri-colored chips and Dawson's Cajun ranch. I left the chips and corn off. This was a generous salad with superb flavors. The dressing was wonderful - a little heat and a lot of flavor. Again, this was very filling as well. There was nothing I could find 'wrong' with Dawsons. The service was friendly and prompt and the food was just extremely good. I wish I could transport this place back to Texas so I could eat there more often!
