I made a combination of a couple of their different omelets and the result tasted fabulous. And the serving was larger than I expected! I kind of wish I could go back!

Plates are good proportions, waffles come in a multitude of types even stuffed. They have a garbage plate breakfast with home fries, cheese, hash, sausage gravy, 2 farm fresh eggs cooked the way ya want em, and your choice of toast. he had sourdough and partially eaten but in the picture. I had home fries, two eggs over easy, corned beef hash, and Italian toast. Both meals with one soda and a tall glass of chocolate milk was $39. Nothing left on our plates and happily full says it all! They have real hot sauce Franks Red Hot not Tabasco thank you, pancakes are New Hope Mills big and fluffy, and offer several jams and jelly too. Can't say enough about how good it is. Don't miss out on this one! Forgot to mention they also serve lunch and Fridays have fish fry!! Lots of choices and gluten free options too.

Came here after backpacking, it was delicious…read more Food: the sandwiches were amazing and worth every penny. The turkey with apple and bacon was amazing. The schnitzel sandwich was also very good. The fries, at $8 as a side were not worth it, I would have rather ordered another sandwich than got two sides of fries. The chips were also almost flavorless, except that of 99% fresh oil. The kids grilled cheese was American cheese, and thus, imho, was not very good. One of my kids took a bite and didn't like it either. Ambiance: simple, nice view of the lake. Service: friendly staff. Tl;DR: I'll be back, but won't order sides or the grilled cheese.

You order your food and pay at the counter and then they call your name and you go to pick up the order at the window when it's ready. Food took longer than we expected to come out, but they were fairly busy when we dined in. I ordered the veggie panini (sans goat cheese) and my husband went for the muffalini with a side of sweet potato fries. The veggie panini was excellent - I especially enjoyed the housemade olive salad! My husband thought the muffalini was delicious too. The sweet potato fries were good, but not really worth the fairly exorbitant upcharge. A can of pop was $3+ as well. Overall the food was great but it felt like the extras were overpriced. That said, I would definitely go back for a sandwich. Thank you, The Elf in the Oak!
