Club sandwich with sweet potato fries
Paul F.

We both had the club sandwich with sweet potato fries. Our first time at this restaurant and sat by the window looking over the lake. The inside of the place is very nice and the waitresses were polite and attentive. Would we go back - oh yes deffo.

The view is stunning. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Food is good and cooked to order. Dressings are made in house. Will definitely return. Service is great as well.

My first time visiting TLR while visiting some family in Waynesboro. I of course used Yelp to find a place with good scenery and as well enough variety so everyone would be satisfied. Upon entering, we were greeted to sit any where with our party of 6. Since I had my elderly grandma with me, we picked the first table that sat us all which was really close so so far so good. Our waitress came to the table and took our drink orders but what was weird is we just sat down and she asked for our drinks which was great but also appetizers which we didn't even grab the menus yet. Maybe she thought we were regulars so maybe that explains that. When we arrived there wasn't a bunch of people but maybe 15 mins later it was like a revolving door so they got a bit packed which was maybe 3-4 other tables. Our salads came out very quickly which was perfect but took another 30-40 mins for our food which again I'm with family so we talked to pass the time. Food arrives and the hush puppies were cold, sweet potato fries cold and the onion rings on another plate dripping in grease. I ordered the fish which was catfish and for the price wasn't worth it. 2 very thin slices pieces on a slice of lettuce and not seared just felt steamed with no flavor. I'm thinking they must have an older clientele so they keep seasoning to a minimum. This is a nice family style restaurant with great views of the lake but the kitchen was off this trip. Our waitress was good in getting us new hush puppies and fries which did come out hot. Checking out was not a problem but overall the issue here was the kitchen, the service was fine. While checking out the ladies were talking on the phone which I'm not use to but nonetheless I left a great tip for the waitress and didn't base on the food experience since she dealt with all of us and her other tables. I don't find myself in Waynesboro often but I would be willing to try their buffet next time which seems like they have a good variety. Out of the 6 plates, my Mom really enjoyed her steak.

Seafood combo platter

It was AMAZING!! The best fried green tomatoes, blackened shrimp, pasta salad, etc etc! The view was so unexpected. We enjoyed seeing the cranes and turtles on the lake!

Fried Shrimp, I had a few bites before taking the picture.

The place is under new management and is very clean. We ordered two appetizers. The fried mushrooms and springs rolls. Both tasted great. We ordered the fried shrimp for our meal. I already had a few before I took the picture. The wait staff did a fantastic good. Food came out hot and fast.

Consistently mediocre buffet and menu. Food is usually edible but never good enough to brag about. The view of the lake is great though!

I'll preface by saying the vibe was interesting. There's a woman that sitios by tables to sing, which I didn't particularly like. The house itself gives off pre civil war vibes... so take that as you will. Nothing strange or offensive happened to me, it was the energy. Now to the meal. Our waiter was great. We ordered wine to go with our food and started with the biscuits and some oysters of the half shell. Delish! My husband ordered the scorched flounder and I got the fried lobster tails. Amazing flavors, and we were stuffed. The Olde Pink House is on the pricier side, but there's attention to the detail in the meals that match the price. There is an elevator inside, which is good since the stairs are a bit steep, and there are so many places to sit with a different feel.

Southern charm, incredible lunch, legendary desserts, and truly wonderful service…read more Boll Weevil is one of those places that feels like you stumbled into something special. From the moment you see the brick building and walk inside, you get this warm, classic Georgia café vibe. It is cozy, welcoming, and full of character. It is the kind of place you want to slow down and enjoy. We came in for lunch and everything was outstanding. I had the Curious George, which is turkey topped with spinach dip and provolone cheese on sourdough bread. It was absolutely fantastic. Warm, savory, and perfectly balanced, it felt like true comfort food done right. It also came with a fresh side salad and great dressing that honestly could have been a meal on its own. My boys ordered the chicken quesadilla and nachos, and both were big wins. The quesadilla was crispy and cheesy. The nachos were fully loaded with seasoned beef, black beans, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, plus salsa and ranch on the side. The portions were generous and the flavors were excellent. Then came the desserts. We tried chocolate cake, carrot cake, and red velvet cake. We ordered half slices and they were still huge. Every single one was incredible. The red velvet and carrot cake were made with real cream cheese frosting. The carrot cake was rich and moist. The chocolate cake was deeply decadent. Pairing the carrot cake with a cup of their coffee was the perfect finish. The coffee was smooth and flavorful and exactly what you want with dessert. We were also lucky enough to be taken care of by Reagan, who was incredibly kind, beautifully stylish, and so helpful with my boys and me. She gave great recommendations on dishes and portion sizes. Her warmth and attention truly elevated the entire experience. Between the cozy atmosphere, outstanding food, unforgettable desserts, and exceptional service, Boll Weevil is now officially a must stop every time we are in Augusta. Come hungry. Save room for cake.

Regular chips on one and tasteless pasta salad on the other.

Good bbq dinner with a colleague tonight…read more One of the more popular dining options in the south is BBQ. This one we chose tonight is a small chain, but offers an excellent bbq dining option. It's not a sitdown restaurant. You place your order at the counter then go find a place to eat. They bring out the food to you. Once you sit down, you're served with a plate of warm biscuits. There's some sort of cheese or something inside them, but it wasn't a distracting ingredient, just different. You always like it when you get the opportunity to try multiple types of bbq meat. The option for tonight was bbq rib and pulled pork. Not only are the portions very good. (had to get a to go box) but both meats tasted super. The pulled pork was tender and juicy. The ribs were large and plentiful. The ribs could've been a little more "fall off the bone", but we're good nonetheless. There's only one type of sauce to put on the ribs, but it was a good and not too tangy. With this meal option, you get two choices of sides. Being a big fan of coleslaw that was one side. The other side was corn on the cob. The coleslaw was sweet tasting. The corn on the cob had a bit of a hot bite to it. Both were fantastic. Thought to go with the sweet tea option, but since I had it earlier in the day, I chose otherwise.

Staff was friendly and establishment was clean. Ordered a couple pulled pork sandwiches, one with fries and the other with baked beans. Also came with 4 cheddar rolls. If you're the same, I highly recommend you request their sweet and spicy (habanero) sauce. It is perfect for this sandwich. Overall a great experience and so very tasty. Stop in if you're in the area.

As a farm-to-table spot, the 30-minute wait for food was completely reasonable and well worth it. My Chicken and Waffles were cooked to perfection; honestly, the best I've ever had. Subject: Extremely Disappointing Order - Augusta Location (Grubhub)…read more I placed a dinner order this evening from your Augusta location through Grubhub. The order included: Two-meat option (beef with hickory sauce, pork with sassy sauce) Coleslaw Baked beans Six wings with sassy sauce Blue cheese dressing The order arrived in approximately 35-40 minutes, which was acceptable. However, when I opened the bag, several items were missing and the food quality was unacceptable. There were: No utensils No napkins No blue cheese dressing No hickory sauce Additionally, the meats were cold, the baked beans were barely warm, and the coleslaw was not at an appropriate chilled temperature. When I called the restaurant to report the issue, the person who answered stated, "I didn't bag your order." When I suggested that someone should look into who did, she laughed. That response was more disappointing than the food itself. This experience reflects poorly not only on this location, but on your brand as a whole. I will not be ordering again from this Augusta location or any of your other restaurants. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. Keith Smith

I am not one to sing false praise, trust me. When I tell you I have never, ever, had a brunch as delicious as his!!! I am a French toast connoisseur, and his was a 12/10! There was not one bite of food that wasn't outstanding. I was truly impressed, with his creativity and his attention to detail because it shined like a diamond from the front of house all the way down to the sweet lady filling the cakes when I was taking my pictures for this review! "Let me get it all full and pretty now before you get those pictures!" I mean, if she wasn't just the sweetest thing, and took 100% pride in her work. Same with the gentleman working the omelet station. He came in the day before to prep the fish (which is a long day of work!) The love they put into each dish truly shines through effortlessly!
