I love Jamaican food but this was not it. The eggs were rotten smelling. The rice was hard. The service was okay. There were random noises.

I wandered in to find all manner of deliciousness here. First I got a 'to go' plate with oxtails, cabbage, rice, and peas. I added a cold Ting and a ginger beer. Did delivery order (door dash) with a restaurant I pass while driving around all the time " Jamaica Way" however never managed to stop at the brick and mortar... mistake! The oxtails and jerk chicken was tender and flavorful however could of had a little more spice for my taste but delicious nevertheless. Finally some good Jamaica on the area! They were located on the Ft Gordon army base, review is for the food truck experience only. Customer service was fast and my food was delicious, I was really surprised. Cost for jersey chicken & oxtail meals was $25 approx, not bad for meat, rice beans, and cabbage. Food was seasoned well. In the past month I've been 3 times. This week alone I've been twice ox tail one day & curry goat the next. The shrimp in my dish were unpeeled and there was some kind of foreign stick-like object in my food. The soup-type dish was leaking out of the to-go box and there were no redeeming features. Food is good. They don't have lunch on weekends so prepare to pay for dinner prices. I see people complaining about how rude the service is but there is an ongoing joke that all Jamaican restaurants are known to have rude customer service, haha. I think it is just part of the experience. That are not really that rude here, maybe just a culture shock to the polite south. We called in early to make the order because she was hungry. We ate the beef patty in the car and the inside was pretty tasty, but a little more doughy than I like. The jerk chicken tasted more like bbq chicken than actual Jamaican Jerk that I am used too. The sides were pretty good so I have 0 complaints there. i was really looking forward to the spicy jerk tasting jerk chicken that I am used too & I didn't get that here. Overall, decent food, great drink choices and has a small grocery section for Jamaican spices which is cool. I'd rate this place about 3/5 on this visit. Also the cashier, she's a young girl, & not the one they should have taking orders. She speaks with a low voice making it hard to hear her with all the noise going on in the back, and when I went up to order and let her know it was my first time she didn't care and said the menu is in front of me, no Hello, how are you?! Definitely more than enough for one person. The Jerk Chicken was a tad spicier than I've had at previous locations, but I'm sure each restaurant cooks it differently. The curry chicken was great and quite moist. I also ordered a chicken and a beef patty...very delicious and flavorful. I was thrown off a little however when they put them in little brown paper bags and not to gp boxes.
