Amazing service. Focused on areas I needed most attention to. I felt so much better afterwards. Also great prices. I will return.

I met Desmond at Yuan Spa for the first time today, and I had such a great experience…read more Desmond is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain what might be causing my discomfort and how I can prevent it from happening again. I really appreciated all of his advice. His massage technique was excellent. He focused on exactly the areas that needed attention, and I left feeling so much more relaxed. It truly felt like he understood my concerns and knew how to address them. On top of that, Desmond is such a sweet and caring person. He made me feel comfortable throughout the entire session and genuinely wanted to help. I highly recommend Desmond to anyone looking for an outstanding massage therapist. I'll definitely be booking with him again!

Before, the water therapy was included in our couples massage, and everything felt very calm and therapeutic, and everyone was very thoughtful and kind. This month we went back for our first massage since the pandemic, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. We had to book an evening appointment since my husband now works nights, and check-in felt very rushed and awkward. We were expecting to change into robes and were told we now disrobe in the massage room--no robes at all. Both our therapists were very brief with our consultations which led to some confusion about the service and I ended up with an add-on that I didn't know was an add-on. Pressure was consistently too strong. Maybe everyone was just tired because it was an evening appointment, but I think we won't be returning, as we were already traveling from out of town and it is just not worth it.

Instead of just going through the motions, she was intentionally finding all of my knots, tense points, and working them out. I was debating whether to go home or find something to do, but my body was sore from the gym, so I searched for nearby massage places. This spot came up as the closest one--and it was also very close to the restaurant--so I decided to walk in. I was helped right away by two very kind ladies and taken into a room almost immediately. I honestly didn't want the massage to end. The therapist really focused on the muscles that were sore from my workout. I was 100% sure I'd be in pain the next day from how deep she worked, but surprisingly, I left feeling relaxed, had a great night's sleep after dinner, and woke up the next morning feeling even better. No soreness at all. They use unscented oil, which is a big plus if you have asthma or allergies. The only downside was that the linens had a slight "stored" smell--like clean laundry that's been sitting in a closet for a while. It wasn't a bad odor, just noticeable. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be coming back--probably once a week after one of my gym days to reset

Great-- I had a wonderful massage here with my massage…read moretherapist, Shea. It was my first time getting one, and the staff were very mindful. Shea was very careful about my comfort and made sure that I always felt nice and that my boundaries were respected. It was wonderful! Very relaxing, he always adjusted the pressure if I needed him to, and was very friendly. I'm not normally talkative, so I was surprised I felt like chatting. I felt a lot looser and less crampy after my session, especially my back which usually feels really stiff from my bad desk posture! I was kind of concerned about getting a massage while I had my cycle, which usually puts me in life ending pain a few hours after it starts, but I couldn't cancel due to the 24hr policy. The massage felt really nice and maybe it helped me relax, because my cramps were not as bad as usual. The facilities are very clean and have a nice atmosphere. I felt very relaxed and cared for here. The front desk didn't push sales or tips on me, though of course I left a tip. Not so good-- If you have a gift card, it apparently can't be used with the introductory or membership prices. I wish I had been told when I first called and specifically asked about giftcards and rates because it's not pleasant to be hit with a surprise after I specifically asked about it when I booked. They didn't even tell me $79 was the introductory price over the phone, and that was *after* I said I wanted to use a Spa Week gift card. The price doesn't bother me, but I hate surprises. I don't know if this is usual or not, but I could barely smell the lavender aromatherapy during the session. Perhaps because of the mask restriction? When i first laid on the head support I could smell it, but within a few minutes, nothing. My therapist asked about it, so I thought it would be adjusted or something, but it wasn't. I would not recommend this add-on, at least while masks are being used, because not being able to smell the aromatherapy during 95% of my session makes it kind of pointless to me. So I had to knock down a star for this experience. Otherwise, the massage itself was great and I like the feeling left in my muscles even in the days after it.

The music playlist was just odd for a massage place (some songs were nice and relaxing as you'd expect and then suddenly it's this weird repetitive instrumental music that is so out of tune that you can't help but focus on it and ask yourself why!!). I asked the therapist if she could change the music and she said she couldn't but that she could lower it, which helped. On the intake form, I requested to have an "add on" of eucalyptus aroma which was completed dismissed/forgotten. Not feeling it. Not feeling it...

While looking on Yelp for massage spots around Bellevue I stumbled…read moreupon this new business, Be Happy Massage Spa, which turned out to have one of the more affordable prices around town. Plus, they are still running their opening specials where prices are discounted for all different massages. Located in the Overlake Square Mall in the Bel-Red area, it's right next to Dough Zone. I called when they opened and was able to make an appointment for a 90-minute massage that same day, for the late afternoon. For the body massage, you're in a private room and can strip down. However, they also offer foot massages in their main room in a shared space. My masseuse was Jeff and he was very, very good! I lift weights and box everyday, so my muscles are always really sore. Therefore, I really needed a deep tissue massage to get some blood flowing to my muscles and help loosen up. Before Jeff began he asked what level of firmness I wanted and he made sure throughout the entire time I was okay with the pressure. It was definitely what I needed. With COVID-19, all staff were wearing masks and in the private room, the client does not have to wear a mask since they're mostly face down on the massage table. But everything was very clean and they change the sheets and blankets as soon as the client leaves the room. For 90 minutes, it was $75 and for an hour, it was $50 for a body massage in the private room. Great deal! At checkout I was given a complimentary bottled water and a stamp card where after 10 massages you get a free foot massage. I'll be racking up on that stamp card!
