I had a doctor's appointment and then plans to meet a friend for dinner, leaving me with about an hour to spare in between. I was debating whether to go home or find something to do, but my body was sore from the gym, so I searched for nearby massage places. This spot came up as the closest one--and it was also very close to the restaurant--so I decided to walk in. I was helped right away by two very kind ladies and taken into a room almost immediately. I honestly didn't want the massage to end. The therapist really focused on the muscles that were sore from my workout. I was 100% sure I'd be in pain the next day from how deep she worked, but surprisingly, I left feeling relaxed, had a great night's sleep after dinner, and woke up the next morning feeling even better. No soreness at all. They use unscented oil, which is a big plus if you have asthma or allergies. The only downside was that the linens had a slight "stored" smell--like clean laundry that's been sitting in a closet for a while. It wasn't a bad odor, just noticeable. I read multiple reviews before coming here and I was not disappointed. The name of my masseuse was Mia and she was excellent. I really loved the massage and especially the stretches. I also loved the momentarily scalp massage. However don't expect this place to be the most fancy spot, about an average and okayish massage rooms. The masseuse was professional for most of the time except at the very start where she kept pushing to try one of their better oil with some additional cost. I am giving 2 stars because I have been to Jade Harbor multiple times and in the past have had good experiences. I typically come once a year, on my birthday for a 90 minute massage. This year I had a bizarre experience, where the lady was talking to the other lady who worked there almost the ENTIRE massage. It might be on me for not saying anything but I just was taken off guard. Then after the massage, before I was finished paying, I was told "you must tip me at least 20%" I understand this was a service and I always tip services generously. But I was taken off guard that I was being demanded. I was going to tip in cash and did the calculations in front of her, that I was tipping 18% AFTER she was talking to her friend in my massage room the entire time. She wouldn't accept 18% tip and told me I can tip on my card 20%. I don't know, the entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth and unfortunately, I won't be returning anymore. Customer service: the front desk staff and Yoyo, my massage therapist, were friendly and professional. I had a great experience here! I booked an appointment via Classpass, but they seemed to have great prices and availability for walk-in or other appointments as well. I arrived 10 minutes early and they were able to take me right away which I appreciated. The massage itself was wonderful, my masseuse made sure I was super comfortable and was able to target my neck and shoulders just like I had requested. She also gave me the best scalp massage of my life! Of all the comparable massages I've gotten in the past few years, this spot was my favorite. I will be going back! Booked a 90 minute massage for noon. I get there and they tell me to get undressed and on the table, which I do. Ten minutes go by and no one comes in, so I poke my head out and am assured someone will be in soon. Takes them another ten minutes until someone comes and proceeds to give me one of the worst massages I've ever had. At the end, I wasn't going to give any tip because of the wait, but the lady was nice so I gave $15 for the wait and the terrible massage. Pretty bad customer service. My friend and I booked with Katie and YuYu for an hour each. Katie met us at the entrance and asked who likes it harder. My friend definitely likes the hard deep tissue massage while I scheduled for a Swedish massage and asked for medium pressure. I go undress in the room and waited about 5 minutes. No biggie. Katie comes in and starts massaging really softly. I waited about 15 minutes or so before I asked for a little harder. She argues with me that I asked for "medium." Lady! Everyone's strength is different! Don't take it personally! The overall massage was okay, but nothing to brag about: she mostly used her elbows with lotion/oil. She finished a few minutes early and I went to the counter to pay with a different lady. I gave the lady a $100 bill and she stares at me. "Do you want change?" Ummm yes, please...She asked me how much I wanted back and I replied $20. She looked shocked that I only wanted to tip $10 (about 15%). She then tries to educate me that I need to tip $20 because that's 20%. No, thank you. That's actually close to 30% tip. She stares me down and then stomps her way to the back to scream in Chinese to another lady. They talk shit for a few minutes and then she comes back to toss $20 at me. Awkward. Then they do the same thing to my friend's tip. Ummm it's called a tip, not mandatory 20% extra fee! I will NOT be coming back. Tacky. read more

Michelle gave my partner an awesome Swedish Massage and Yoyo gave me an excellent deep tissue massage. She used her knees and elbows quite a bit. Lots of pressure, and she checked in once or twice to make sure that was okay. She covered my back, glutes, legs, arms, neck, and scalp. She didn't touch my feet much, so I assume you can pay for a foot massage separately. I was super impressed when she cracked my back at the end. Didn't know I was in for chiropractic as well! Walked out feeling like Jell-O. I've seen some negative reviews regarding tipping. There was nothing negative about my experience in this regard, so my advice is as follows: tip decently and stop thinking so hard about percentages. $20 on a $70 massage means you appreciate their work. read more

Just got home and I'm still sitting in my car. I've had an average amount of massages I think but this was hands down the best massage I have ever received from Sasha at Jade Harbor Spa. Had a very long day in which I thought a normal massage will make it a bit better. But instead of normal I got exceptional every technique Sasha used felt like it was hitting a new area that could go unnoticed. The room was clean and office was organized. Definitely my favorite therapist at one of the best places. And for a tall guy with back issues I don't feel any tightness. Shasha did a fantastic job with my full body massage focusing on the back and thighs. She was patient, skillful and she kneed on my back which helped to release the tight muscles. I booked a massage last-minute with Mihir and arrived ~20 mins early. They were kind and let me wait in my own personal room. Facility is clean, and there was a nice fluffy robe and clean sofa inside the room waiting for me. The receptionist even brought me a bottle of water while I waited. I love that each person gets their own room, unlike other places that have just a curtain dividing the space up. It felt relaxing and comforting, despite it being mostly no-frills. Mihir was kind and a great massage therapist. I wish she had asked where I wanted more attention, but overall she gave a *great* massage. She asked what kind of pressure I liked, and that was nice. The CD playing relaxing music in the background kept skipping, so eventually she turned it off, but I actually prefer quiet anyway. For $70 (+$2 if you pay with card), it's a great bang for your buck. I tipped $20 for my one-hour massage. After a long hard hike yesterday, needed a massage since I was feeling very soar. I was basically looking for any place that can accommodate me since it was a Sunday and ended up here. They were able to give me an appointment within the next couple of hours. Clean, tidy and compact place. The staff are very friendly. For the price, the 60 min massage sounded like a good deal. The masseuse was good in giving attention to the spots where I felt very soar. But having said that, based on my experience over the Last several years, the massage was not upto the mark. I don't have too many bad things to say but just did not work out for me. Might not go back again Updating this review for the feedback posted by the business owner. It is true that they called me and offered to give 15 mins free massage. But only on the condition that I delete my current 3 star review and give them a five star review. The person that I spoke to was so demanding and actually was more worried about business getting affected which is fair but that doesn't mean she has to be harsh to an unhappy client. Overall her manners were disappointing even though at some point during the call I did think of giving them another shot since I don't want anyone's business to be affected. The massage was good but I was really disappointed at the time of payment with how much they pushed me to leave a higher tip amount. Come on, tips are supposed to depend only on how much the customer feels happy about the service without the merchant directly asking (or pushing!) for it. I feel the original massage rate is just to attract people and then they put you in a situation that you have no option other paying 25%+ tip which is non-sense. This is my 2nd visit, and Isabel and her team are amazing. They've developed their own unique way of massaging that's unlike the style the massage chains teach . I get massages twice a week for chronic neck/back/shoulder pain and I will continue coming here until I relocate. Isabel and the other lady I had today both ask about where the pain stems from, and after doing an initial assessment they both knew where to focus their time and attention. My neck pain stemming from my arms, my back pain stemming from my feet, shoulder pain from my chest/arms. I thoroughly appreciate the technique and perspective you receive from Chinese massage therapists and just can't say enough. I love this place because when I call in they always seem to have at least one spot open every day. The massage chains around here, specifically massage envy, never have a same day appointment. For massage chains, I guess that's the allure to always be busy, and having to book in advance. It's tucked away in a tiny parking lot, but there's always free parking. It's a no fuss, great massage place ran like a local lady. And the price is reasonable. $69 for a one hour massage. read more

I had the best experience today! The place is cute, tidy and clean. My partner and I got a couples massage, the room was nice and the beds were heated. Michelle was my masseuse. Her pressure was on point! A little bit into my massage, my boobs started to get pinched because laying on your stomach does that to a woman. The masseuse didn't spend any time on my hips which was where I had a lot of discomfort and sometimes, she was just lightly rubbing me in places, not really massaging. I told her I'd like it harder but not much difference. She also left the room 3 times to answer the phone which was disruptive. It was also too hot in the room and I was sweating by the end. I had Isabel, who apparently is very highly requested (I had no idea. I just asked for a one hour massage.), and I can understand why. She's obviously very experienced in feeling out the problem areas and tackling them. She really helped release the tension in my neck and getting the range of motion back on my shoulders. Another thing to note, the massage was a full hour. Not 50 minutes but advertised as a hour long like some massage places. This place is no frills.
