My project manager, Elijah was a total professional and also happens to be a real nice human being. His crew is even better (sorry, Eli). They listened and wanted my input. I grew to trust them quickly and started asking for their opinions about various things along the way to help me decide what to do. As stressful at it is to have people in your house everyday making lots of noise for weeks, I'm actually going to miss these guys. I will definitely hire them in future. We contracted Prime Design & Build to remodel two bathrooms, a laundry room, a staircase, and to…read moreinstall hardwood flooring. Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

We went with Greenberg because they knew how to do modern houses and how to deal with the City. We went from horrible hideous uninsulated shack to a gorgeous gem where we can Age in Place! Every single person who has walked in says, "WOW! It's beautiful! It's incredible what you guys have done!" We have friends & professionals who have built/renovated many houses all exclaim what a high-end luxe job this was! We could not have done this without Greenberg. In particular, we worked with the wonderful Ohad Sherion throughout the process who managed all the subs, city departments involved, neighbors, vendors, etc. Our attention was elsewhere as we were very busy with our work, caring for our elders, so it was invaluable that Ohad kept us up-to-date throughout the process. Ohad was able to make our wishes come true, including bathrooms with custom tiles that were no longer available--so he found us an artisan who recreated them by hand. To make the small space look and feel spacious, we went with an open concept which left few walls to hang art. From the beginning, we worked with Ohad to create a design to showcase our art collection. Ohad is persistent and works to get projects not only functional but beautiful. For example, we have a unique front door which needed to be tweaked and he patiently worked with subs to make it happen. My husband was thrilled that we ended up with a house with superb insulation (including sound), up-to-date plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems. He feels great about the new roof and solar panels. But I am in love with the amazing personal details that make this place a home (finally). We are so grateful to Ohad. He'd worked with one of our friends previously, and so we knew he'd do a great job for our project. We also loved Greenberg's integrated approach. The architect, constructions, design and management was all done by Greenberg. This meant that the project from top to bottom was aligned with the team actually doing the construction work. My top priorities were 1) a modern home design 2) a job done with high quality 3) low stress. Ohad / Greenberg helped deliver on all of these aspects in spades. The last thing I wanted to do was have to coordinate with flaky contractors, have to re-do low quality work after a long day at work. Ohad kept the project on track and handled all the hassle of dealing with subcontractors & inspectors. Greenberg probably won't be the cheapest contractor you'll talk to, but as the saying goes - you get what you pay for. Quality work, up to code, and no drama is well worth the cost. Ohad worked with us throughout the project to consider different budget options, and gave candid advice about where he thought the budget would be best spent. Overall, highly recommend. I was referred by a friend and have put multiple friends in touch with Greenberg for their projects as well. Everyone is floored by house nice our remodel turned out and will 100% be in touch in the future for any future projects we have.

A huge thank you to our project manager, Allen, who did an amazing job keeping everything organized and running smoothly. The entire crew was a pleasure to work with--a special shoutout to Johan (their master plumber and electrician) and his brother for their outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail. Like most major remodels, there were a few unexpected delays along the way, but almost all of them were completely out of their control. What impressed me most was their dedication: the team worked tirelessly, including weekends, to make up for lost time and keep us on schedule. We were also thrilled with their designer, Emanuele, who was incredible to work with. He helped guide us through color schemes and design choices, and his vision really brought the spaces to life. On top of the bathrooms, we decided last-minute to have them replace the cracking tile in our entranceway. They knocked it out incredibly fast, and they did a great job containing dust and keeping the work areas clean throughout the process. I highly recommend Wise Builders to anyone looking for quality work, clear communication, and a hardworking team. Thank you, Wise Builders!

The timelines did extend significantly beyond the original estimates, and I had to stay on top of the subcontractors to ensure the craftsmanship met my standards. Working closely with the owners, Ellie and Nir, and our project manager, Tal, was an excellent experience from start to finish. Communication & Teamwork: Communication was flawless and there were absolutely no surprises. They set up a WhatsApp group for weekly updates(with photos), and we held regular on-site meetings. They were very proactive, giving us plenty of heads-up on upcoming decisions and open items so execution never stalled. Early on, we hit a hiccup with an external designer; Ellie stepped in immediately to resolve the issue and keep the project moving seamlessly. Seamless Permitting & Back Office: A special shout-out has to go to their back-office staff, who are absolutely awesome. Navigating city permits can be daunting, but they handled everything perfectly. Our permit review took only a few months, was entirely on schedule, and went through with zero surprises. Design Savvy & Flexibility: Their taste and advice are excellent. During the design phase, they helped us ideate multiple layout options to cover as many of our requirements as possible(while staying practical ). Even during execution, their eye for aesthetics was invaluable. For instance, after installing two sliding doors in the kitchen, we realized we didn't love the look. They suggested a modified, larger single-door solution, and handled the change order smoothly with minimal impact on our timeline. Whenever we doubted their advice initially, we almost always wound up landing on their suggestion because they were always right. Budget Transparency: Level Up is a premium builder, but they are fairly sensible about budgets. They took the time to understand our price sensitivity and tailored their recommendations for materials and contractors accordingly, ensuring every dollar spent added genuine value to the house. Even with a decent amount of mid-project changes, the final cost lined up with our expectations. Vendor Coordination & Quality: The craftsmanship and installation quality are top-notch. They were also remarkably flexible with sourcing; we used a mix of their recommended suppliers and vendors we chose ourselves. Even when we acted as the go-between for our own suppliers, Level Up was completely professional, accommodating, and coordinated with us effortlessly. On the rare occasions they had issues, they took proactive responsibility and addressed it to our satisfaction. If you want a contractor with great taste, incredible flexibility, and total professional integrity, I highly recommend Ellie, Nir, Tal, and the Level Up team.

Eli walked us through each and every step with detailed weekly updates, keeping us entirely in the loop. We were actually out of town for two of those months, but because of his proactive communication, his team made lightning-fast progress while we were away. We are thrilled with the final result. The communication, timeliness, and finish quality was just not there with our project…read more I'm not sure if this is because of a deficiency in project management, or because of the poor contracting. From the beginning, we were never given a good sense of timeline and when parts of the project were to be completed. Contractors would not show up on days when we were told they would come, and they would randomly show up on days where we were not given any warning and we had to be at work. The contractors that came to spray texture on the walls showed up at 7pm on a Friday night. We felt bad they had traveled so far and so late, but amazed that nobody had thought to communicate their arrival to us. Because the contractors would show up at random times and complete random parts of the project, we were always being forced to rush order parts that we didn't have on hand. This included a dishwasher air gap, a garbage disposal, and the cabinet handles. As professionals, why wouldn't they have a list of required finishes for all their customers? There were also just other instances of poor management. They miscalculated how much slab we needed, so they charged us extra for that as well. The handles on the cabinets were badly misaligned, and looked like nobody had measured the distances to the edges of the cabinets. We had to ask for this to be fixed. There was a missing finished edge on the cabinet end by the dishwasher, which we also had to ask to be fixed. We had to ask for so many basic things like having our window screen reinstalled and the window lock reattached 2 weeks AFTER the final inspection passed. If the final inspection is done already, there's no more excuses for delays in finishing a project. There was no final walkthrough once everything was done. We just noticed that one of the cabinet faces has a huge scratched up area where it looks like someone colored it in with a crayon. Shouldn't this sort of damage be disclosed to your customer without us having to scrutinize? In conclusion, if you look at the work from a distance, it's up to code and done fine. The whole experience has been so dragged out, however, that at this point we can't even be bothered with calling out the weird crayon thing.
