I have been here 3 times since opening day, with family, and have not been disappointed yet. Very friendly staff and management, you feel like you are at home. A few standouts on the menu: Do It For Johnny, Bendan Burger, da Lou Chicken Sandwich, Fig and Brie, Corned Beef Hash, and yes, the simple Hot Dog. All were excellent. Fyi, the other location in Spring Lake, called AM. Kitchen, is also excellent. Kitchen 35 is our new go to spot. read more

So I normally don't YELP because Yelping is for trolls, however, this place rocks. Such a great find. The Azteca was phenomenal, The Irish with the bangers is fantastic! A must try! Our whole family had a great time and a perfect meal. read more

I saw all the great reviews of this new restaurant on the Web. I stopped in on a friday night at 8:30 PM. The hours on the door said Monday through Friday until 9:00 p.m.. As we walked in the manager/owner was counting the money and told us it was too late to be seated. As a new restaurant this is not a very good practice. That is saying a lot considering that we are dining capital of the nation if not the world. Large, open, stylish, and clean premises. Waitstaff is very genteel and attentive. This is their second location, the first one is in Spring Lake. The difference is this location is much larger so you walk in and not worry about getting a seat. The food is just as fabulous, the menu is inviting, large enough for a selection for everyone and a step far above your standard diner fare in the morning. The staff terrific, today we had Ashley and she is warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. I watched a few of the staff interact with tables and they all seem very well trained and pleasant. Even the "busboy" in this case a nice woman, is right on top of things here. I had the avocado style eggs benedict and my eggs were PERFECT. I always afraid to do poached eggs out for fear they are over cooked. Kudos to the cook, he or she did fabulous. Potatoes served with the eggs are very flavorful, the bacon cooked exactly how we asked. Seems like another well oiled machine. Lots of parking, nice size place, room to stretch, clean, everything fresh and delicious. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great portions. See my photos. My family and I have eaten here for lunch and today we had breakfast. The menu is limited in a good way so it's not your typical 12 page diner menu. The food choices are more healthy and we were quite happy we everything we ordered both times. The waitresses were super sweet and friendly. Our only complaint was the owner was not very cordial. If your job is to greet people and want them to return to your establishment perhaps you should smile. read more

This is the sister place to AM Kitchen in spring place. This is a retro fit dinner with an updated menu. I get the jalapeño egg bowl. My wife got the Brie sandwich and one of my daughters always gets the tomato soup. We mostly go during the day but understand they have burger nights. read more

Greeted warmly by the hostess. Server was friendly and attentive. Kitchen should have and could have earned the two more stars. My wife ordered the eggs Benedict slightly over cooked but tasty. I had a cheese omelette asked for well done corn beef hash and potatoes. The omelette was over cooked the hash home made but not well done. Potatoes lukewarm. My husband got the waffles and fried chicken, it was the best fried chicken. We travel a lot to Atlanta and have had a lot of fried chicken in different places but I must say I really liked it here the best. I had the mediterranean omelet and really enjoyed it. Went to have lunch with my daughter and was not impressed. My favorite thing was the brewed iced tea. I ordered a burger (it was ok) and she had the Cajun shrimp Po boy that had no Cajun and was not fresh (if you know what I mean). The tomato bisque tasted more like cream of chicken than tomato and was lukewarm. That said I paid $33. plus tip and will not go back. Not sure what all the fuss is about....sorry. read more

I'll never understand why businesses risk alienating a portion of their customer base for no reason. This is a pleasant restaurant: the decor is bright, the service is friendly, and the food, while not exceptional, is decent. So...why have the TVs tuned to OAN, an extreme right-wing propaganda network? If I want to watch the news, I will, in the comfort of my home, tune to what informs me. In a restaurant I do not want to experience the annoying and the jarring: I want to feel as if I'm a welcome guest. I'm saddened by the experience today. I have being ordering this one soup sandwich combination for months it's excellent especially since it got cold. It arrived at my home and the soup container had scout two tablespoons of soup . I called got the manager/owner he was so apologetic immediately offered to comp the meal. I very much wanted to have the soup so he said let me have it delivered . It was at my home in under 10 min he gave us double the soup ordered and a $10 credit to use. It was so kind, so considerate he truly cared and was thankful for our business. Finally a diner here to stay! Great food, great service. By FAR, best diner in town. I've tried the breakfast foods and the lunch sandwiches- all fantastic. Plenty of seating and parking- every time I've gone always full but never a wait. Absolute must-try! You won't be disappointed. read more

It was just ok. I was hoping it would be better than it was. They don't really know how to cook eggs very well. My husband ordered scrambled eggs and they were overcooked and brown. Same with my omelet. We spent about $40 on breakfast and it was just so-so. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Would have liked to have tried the food but the bathroom was so dirty I walked right out. I don't understand how management can let that happen. If the bathroom that customers use is that dirty (and no paper in the dispenser to dry your hands with, there was a small roll half wet on the sink), then how dirty is the kitchen that we don't see? We went there one day for brunch on a Sunday morning. The waiting staff was friendly and accomodating. The food was delicious and I would definitely recomend. There was a nice diner feel. Been Door Dashing from here, about 5 times now. There food (even to go) comes out so good and presentable. We have tried a few places in the area and nothing tastes or looks as good. The food and waitress was delightful, friendly and attentive. Her dish suggestions were excellent and sincere. However, the manager detracted from our experience. It was difficult to distinguish him from the "trucker" community while wearing his baseball cap and very casual attire. Although this wasn't horrible, sitting at the counter playing on his phone while the wait staff were very busy taking care of your customers, was. The eye roll was him giving a "snap/point" order to a male staff member to clean up a spill. There are better ways to treat your employees and give the same messages. He needs to ditch the cap and to upgrade his attire and attitude. I will be back as the food and wait staff was delightful! read more

Went to the kitchen @35 today and got a Black Russian. The meat was all that processed meats. You would think they would cook there own corned beef and there roast beef. Took the other half home and then just throw it in the garage. Have it two stars had to ask for water 3 times. Host had no personally at all. Stay away. read more

Finally a reasonable restaurant that does it right, the décor isn't the greatest but they more than make up for it with their food and serve staff. We have been there five times now since they opened and have always felt welcome and appreciated, each meal was well prepared and generous proportions.
