I took a key to get cut, and he charged me 45. I don't think he does bad work, but if he charges that much just to cut a key, you can imagine what he charges for other services. It took him a maximum of 10 minutes to cut it. read more

Fast service on an aftermarket key for an Expedition, but the $125 price leaves a VERY bad taste in my mouth. I didn't come in to buy a key, but to have one cut. I planned to program it myself. They cut it and said they'd program it. But then said they couldn't because it had the wrong chip in it. So I bought a new one. But I didn't check on the price first. BIG mistake. It was $125. For a Chinese key unit that sells for about $25 on Amazon. I'd expect to pay $60-$80. The good news is, they cut my supposedly bad fob too. I was able to program it in 5 minutes. On a positive note, now I have two new working keys and I'm at $75 each cost averaged for 2 nice, working keys. That's not heinous. But that's twice what it should have been. read more

One of my F250 keys ended up in the street and was run over by a car and destroyed. The Ford dealer wanted $300 for the key and $195 to program it! On top of that, the keys from the dealer are backordered. I called the Keyless Shop and they had the matching key in stock (aftermarket, missing the Ford logo on the back but otherwise identical). Took in two flip key fobs that I purchased on Amazon to have them programmed and to have the keys cut. They gave me a price of $200. This seemed reasonable, it required leaving my vehicle overnight which seemed odd but I agreed. When I picked up my vehicle the following day, they handed me the new keys cut and working but not programmed. They then proceeded to charge the full cost as if not having programmed the keys was inconsequential. I asked are you really going to charge me the full price for something that is essentially worthless as I already had a working key with a faulty fob. I spoke with the owner over the phone, and his reasoning was that although he didn't program them he had a time investment and needed to be paid. He finally agreed to a $25 break in the cost. Not sure how to proceed I decided to see what the dealer cost would be and it was actually cheaper. They programmed the keys and they now work. I paid Keyless $200 dollars to do something that they lacked either the knowledge or the equipment to do. This is completely unacceptable. If I had the time or resources I would attempt a legal remedy as I feel completely ripped off by them. read more

I was trying to get two Toyota keys cut so I can program them myself but nobody seems to want to do it. One of the locksmiths in Pflugerville recommended these guys. So felt the need to be responsible and get a legit car key for myself. I had been using my valet for a long time. For months I had seen the billboard for this place on my side of town and forgotten about it but I happened to be off and be in the area and have time for getting a key made. This shop is apart of the Hancock shopping center's Sears and faces East in the direction of the Wendy's. It's just a little business office offering access to Sears from their luggage section. The guy in the shop had the model of key casing and microchip just for my type of car and went right to copying my valet key and checking out my original microchip and case that had broken off. He didn't really introduce himself or tell me about pricing. With pricing I figured since they were advertising being low cost they'd do better with the cost since this place isn't a dealership or garage and he was the only person in this small shop. I go to my car and bring it around to a parking place close to his shop. He walks out and gets out his laptop to program the new key he made. And it worked. No frills, no secrecy, no garage, no wait in the office. Took less than a minute. Go back in the shop get ready to pay for this key and a sleeve for it. The key alone is $125. I was expecting way less. I paid and then went outside and called a dealership for an estimate and they would have done it for $85. TF really? So I guess I paid for convenience but I'm not coming back again. That's ridiculous. read more

This place is a God send! I broke my car key only to find out the chip was broken too. All the dealers had to order the key which would take 2-3 days, cost $223 a piece, had to buy 2 minimum and there was an additional $125 programming fee. We came across the Keyless Shop on Yelp, saw the stellar reviews and figured to check them out first. Only $125 for the key and programming. It cost me $100 to tow but still cheaper then the dealer. Plus they typically offer a mobile service too, the van was just in the shop for maintenance today. Totally worth every penny, left there with a better quality remote key then I had from the dealer, plus they offered 1/2 off same day on a second key. It was also a very fast and informative process! So happy to have had a great experience to an otherwise frustrating week!:) read more

My wife dropped her car remote and it came apart, and even though it wasn't broken and snapped back together, the tiny screw in the back was missing. We noticed the Keyless Shop a day later as we were eating at Arpeggio Grill (GREAT restaurant by the way) next door, and after lunch popped in to see if they sold the size screw we needed. The young woman at the counter was very friendly, and when we asked about the screw the gentleman behind her took the remote, took it to the workbench, and handed it back 30 seconds later with a screw in it. I offered to pay for it, but he wouldn't hear of it and sent us on our way with a smile. Great way to run a business (unless of course 20,000 people read this review and hit them up for free screws), and I'll definitely be back the next time my wife drops her remote with more severe results. Also, having had to replace a car remote before at a dealership and having seen the prices here, it seems like a no-brainer to come to this place if you need a new remote. read more
