I had discovered Lonestar popcorn while driving to Grapevine Mills and stopped after my shopping. The young ginger guy at the counter was very pleasant and attentive. He let me try a couple samples to narrow down my selection. I got kettle, showtime butter, jalapeno cheese, and parmesan garlic, which was a new mild flavor to my repertoire and delicious. All were very fresh and had a good quality of seasoning flavoring. None were overly oily which I do not like. The only con to me was that they had a sign on the window saying taffy town, but the taffy display was nearly bare and in my opinion both should have been removed if that empty. Very good variety of savory, candy coated, and specialty flavors. Give them a try!

Then I spot Garrett Popcorn, a small but inviting store front, with a simple display filled with ready to scoop popcorn. I'm intrigued. I did not realize then that this is a popular Chicago chain then. The lady immediately offered me samples in a cute little baggie. Honestly, that's what sold it for me. She gave me enough that I possibly would have been satisfied, but I also felt like I wanted to go back and give her a little bit of business because of that generous sample. The small size buttery popcorn is ~$3.50. I thought that was a bargain for airport food, much cheaper than any snack bag I can buy from a Hudson news. They also have cheese, caramel, Garret mix of caramel and cheese, and others. I was very happy with the buttery popcorn with is butter-infused, fully coated all yellow popcorn. What a guilty pleasure. Instead of giving me the popcorn in an open bag, they put the popcorn into an outer resealable bag with napkins already inside. I love this little touch of service! I would definitely buy from them again if I am at DFW again. 4 Stars for the popcorn + 0.5 Star for the price + 0.5 Star for the service
