Walking into this store is always magical, as the senses are filled with the smells of popcorn popping or being flavored, and candy being made. It's hard to be in anything but a great mood when you smell those smells!! I am also a fan of their custom popcorn and Candy care packages that I can send to loved ones on special occasions. All three were great but the Chicago Blend captured my heart - a marriage of cheddar and caramel popcorn. Other flavors yet to be tried include, but are not limited to, chocolate cherry, caramel apple, and pina colada. Today (February 12, 2017), my family and I visited your store as we usually do but we encountered a flustered employee. She never greeted us but ignored that lack of customer service and continued to ask for the price on your popcorn bags since the prices are usually on your monitor. She replied "I don't know the prices" I then asked if she could find out the price for me and she said "look at it" as she pointed to the monitor which then I said "it's not working" She gave me a dirty look and that's when I said "you don't have to give me attitude" Her response was "I'm not giving you attitude, I don't know the prices because they constantly change and I don't know them" Her co worker tried to calm her down but she said "you don't have to help her" When I asked if I could speak to a manager, she replied with "contact them" as she pointed to the flyer and here I am, contacting both of you. I am not one to complain but as a constant customer (I was planning on buying the refillable tin, since we go often) I felt it was important for you to know what is going on at your store. I asked her name but of course she refused to give it to me "I don't have a name" was her response. As she was yelling, your other employee tried to tell me but she was so loud I could not hear clearly. My 4 year old was shocked to see such behavior and asked why someone would be so disrespectful . It was definitely a teachable moment but not one I would've liked for her to experience. I have never felt such horrible customer service in my life and hope this doesn't happen to anyone who visits your wonderful popcorn store. The space is small, it's open to regular customers to purchase some of the items such as the candy and popcorn, they can purchase the items at the register which is literally less than 12 feet away from you. For $115 per person, I don't think it's fair that you're practically having a tasting in a candy store. It would have been better if the tasting was in a separate area from where customers couldn't come buy the desserts. The tasting was good and as I said, you could tell time and effort had been put into it, I just feel as though the price does not equate to the experience.
