One of my favorite stores, I have been coming here for years! Years ago when I used to work close by this store I would come in for their lunch special. The friendly and welcoming greetings were just added benefits of coming here, flavorings of life that went along with the food! Walking into this store is always magical, as the senses are filled with the smells of popcorn popping or being flavored, and candy being made. It's hard to be in anything but a great mood when you smell those smells!! I am also a fan of their custom popcorn and Candy care packages that I can send to loved ones on special occasions. They have come through for me when I needed that little something special for a special person somewhere that needed a little pick up or cheer. read more

Great place to grab a quick bite for lunch or breakfast sandwich in the Belt Line area. But also a rare gem to find high quality chocolate candies , custom gift baskets , cards, stuffed animals and other fun gift items. I came to order a gift basket for a client and was very impressed by Linda and her staff to come up with great arrangements. Thanks again for a great experience and keeping an amazing small business that serves the community in a fun and unique way! I'll be back soon hopefully! read more

My work catered from here recently and the food was so good! They ordered a platter of a variety of sandwiches and wraps. The hit of the show was the popcorn! Packaged well and so fresh, and so many different flavors. I can't wait to get food from here for myself or for a family event, and will definitely be getting some popcorn. Do yourself a favor and check them out! read more

So of late, I'm spending many more hours at my desk at work and looking for ways to improve my productivity. Thank you Foodsby for giving options like Yo Pop Etc for lunch! I ordered the Turkey Supreme Sandwich, bag of chips, a cinnamon spice cake ball, a pickle spear and an M&M Cookie. The order arrived 15 minutes early! YAY as I was about to chew off my fingers. It was well packaged and had all I needed less a napkin and sharp device to get into the pickle and cake ball. Luckily I had left over napkins from a drive through and a pair of scissors in my desk. They provided a open plastic knife, mustard and mayonnaise packs, plus a peppermint! The sandwich was cut in half and well packaged inside of aluminium foil. The toasted whole grain bread had generous amounts of deli sliced turkey, some bacon, tomato slice, lettuce and some avocado. I was through the first half before I slowed down to realize I hadn't put on any mustard or mayonnaise. The avocado acted as a wonderful spread. The ripe tomato flavored the sandwich quite nicely. The cake ball was nothing special. It was white cake covered in thick hard chocolate shell then dusted with a spiced cinnamon. The M&M cookie wasn't anything special and glad I had the scissors to get in. The peppermint was wet/gooey. This was really a 2-3 star experience. However over all convenience, (it being early and delivered) saved me 45 minutes I could use to work. That was worth the bonus star and rounded up! read more

Lunchtime once a week-always a joy-everything I've tried is delicious( lunch specials everyday) my favorite used to be philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries( some of the best in town-seasoned and fried just perfect!) but I've gotten hooked on their california club-piled high with meat and avocado and cranberry mustard= wonderful and enough for lunch and a midnight snack! Check em out! read more

I needed a gift basket in a hurry and gave these guys a call. 1) Their website (especially the mobile version) is incredibly easy to navigate. It is well laid out, baskets are tagged appropriately, and it has an easy "Call Us" link at the top of the page. 2) They have items at various price points. They had thank you baskets at $19, $50, or $100, and they all looked great. They'll also customize them for you on the spot. 3) The owner Linda is very sweet, helped me pick out the right basket, and chatted for a bit. Just a genuinely nice person. Will definitely be back to try out their food sometime. read more

If you are looking for a fabulous gift or just a tasty snack you have found the right place! The small bags each came with a personalized label , looked so festive and were super fresh. We couldn't wait to taste it...so delicious. Shipping was very fast. My favorite thing about this business is when I called the boss answers! Linda is service oriented , so accommodating and boy can she deliver a great product. What a fun place! I went in to look at some baskets for clients. The lady that helped me was very friendly and put together some awesome looking gifts that I know I couldn't have gotten anywhere else. The price was great too. The basket included chocolates, popcorn, gourmet nuts, pretzel rods, and other goodies. While there I also had a chicken avocado salad and it was awesome! I could tell everything was very fresh. Very nice light meal. I'll definitely be back for lunch. Overall a fun place that has a lot to offer. Try the caramel popcorn too. Stuff Is great. read more

2 words - HONEY POPCORN My aunts Birthday is December 17th and she loves honey popcorn. I started calling every popcorn place in Plano, Carrollton and Frisco on September 14th so I could have HONEY popcorn shipped to her for her birthday. I had no clue it would turn out to be a mission of love to find it. My last call was to YOPOP and to my happy surprise they make HONEY Popcorn. I visited the store on the 15th and was amazed by the variety of chocolates, popcorn, cards, Christmas baskets and a plethora of great gift items. I visited the store around 2:30 on Monday and my Aunt received her birthday box on Tuesday. THEY SAVED THE DAY and my aunt was surprised that I remembered that her favorite popcorn was HONEY! Yo Pop Etc - This is excellent and fresh!! - Candy Stores Near Me - Carrollton, Texas

I have been going to Yo Pop for about 10 years. I have never been disappointed and neither have my recipients of the canisters of popcorn.

What stood out the most: The woman who forgot to take her Premarin tablet in the morning. Gosh, I have never experience the worst service in my life. I wanted to like this store because I have always been a supporter of a mom and pop shop. Apparently, I just ask all the wrong questions. (Scenario 1) Me: "Hmm...so tell me about your popcorn." Front Lady Counter: Points at this big bulletin board that shows the size, flavor, price etc on it. Me: I got quite perplex and started to think what I wanted. I asked her, "what flavors are popular?" Front Lady Counter: "It depends. Everybody is different" (Granted, I'll give her that). Me: "okayyyyy" (still thinking) Front Lady Counter: Scoffs. "You never been to a popcorn shop, have you? Me: "Apparently not". (Scenario 2) Me: "Is this popcorn fresh?" Pointing to a bag of popcorn that was on the shelf. I just thought it was for show. Front counter lady: "Of course it's fresh! What kind of shop do you think this is?" Me: Wide eyed and shock. Front counter lady: I am confuse; what do you mean by your question? (still have an attitude). Me:" I just saw on your website that you make it fresh daily." (I came in 30 minutes after they opened, but assumed they came in early before opening hours) Front counter lady:" Look, all our stuff are fresh. We did that batch yesterday. If you REALLLLY want it fresh, you can come back in 3 hours because that's how long it takes. We just opened 30 minutes ago." Me: By this time, I am highly irritated. " That's fine, I'll just get it and try it." Not only that, I bought a Groupon for this place and when she was ringing out I still had some credit left and she didn't ask if I wanted something else or not. Instead, she just rushed the transaction. FAIL. At this point, I was irritated and I didn't want it to ruin my Saturday morning, so I left without being a passive aggressive smart ass. Because I am a nice person, I would like to end this on a good note. So I got the white chocolate drizzle popcorn. I must admit it was really, REALLY good. I would go back, but I don't think putting up with that woman is worth it. However, I do have one more groupon left and I am willing to give the store another chance. Hopefully, this time I'll use it on lunch (they offer lunch menu items such as: sandwiches, baked potatoes, salads, etc...I'll definitely update if the next experience is better). The shop is pretty cute. You can buy some girly stuff for baby, bridal, bachelorette showers, but the items are quite limited. Also, they have an array of chocolate covered strawberries, truffles, etc for those chocoholics. They have cute little tables if you choose to dine in. Good luck! read more

This place has awesome popcorn. I cannot believe how many flavors they have, it's something like 25-30, but I almost never stray from the caramel and/or chocolate. Pure bliss! They also sell sandwiches and other food at lunch, but I haven't given their food a try yet. There is some seating though, so you don't have to take it to go. They also double as a ham store too I think, not sure if that is exclusive to the holidays or not. And there are gift baskets all around the shop, so they do a little of everything. The employees have always been nice when we've been in, it seems like a family run operation. Located in a strip mall on the East side of Midway between Beltline and Spring Valley. read more

Love this place! I was in a rush to get Halloween popcorn out to 5 family members. Linda was fantastic! Shea's genuinely friendly and helped me choose a tin and some great popcorn. The price was comparable to a catalog I had been looking at and the popcorn Yo Pop sent was fresh and delicious. All the tins arrived ahead of time and each person said the three bags of popcorn was great! Thanks Linda. I will be back to order from you soon. read more

Great one stop shop! I needed a birthday goodie basket after I learned that Edible Arrangements (next door) didn't have what I wanted readily available. Between the shop owner and myself we put together a great chocolate goodie basket filled with all kinds of treats and chocolate rum cake including a birthday card. With my gift ready to go I shifted gears and was able to order lunch on the spot to go. It was the best club sandwich I think I've ever had and was only $7.99. It was a huge tasty sandwich, and included a pickle and chips. Then I learn they actually do fruit arrangements as well. When I'm in the area I'll be back. The only reason I didn't give it a five was the shop was a little clustered and overwhelming with so many gift items. read more

This popcorn was not good. I got the dill, salt and vinegar, and regular. Both the dill and the salt and vinegar were just regular popcorn with gross powder coating on top. The bags were not full all the way. The cashier was all over the place and the store resembled a maze. Not worth your money! read more

Yo Pop Etc - This is the dill popcorn. I got regular, dill, and salt and vinegar and none were good. - Candy Stores Near Me - Carrollton, Texas

Omg,this gem is incredible! Recently moved from their long time location--bigger and better than ever! Not just a gift shop, gourmet popcorn and candy store-it has great food! everytime I've been, I am pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and food! Yesterday had the cheesesteak sandwich n fries--2 things=1) I love cheesesteak sandwiches, and this was easily one of,if not the best I've had in dallas, and 2) normally I ask for 'crispy fries' I forgot this time, but no need=they were perfect=fat and crispy(so good looking other members of the table ordered a side order!) so I cannot stress enough,if you are out and about, looking for a good lunch spot(quiet) check em out-you will not be disappointed! read more

I've been craving Chicago style popcorn (huge fan of Garret's) and this place fulfilled my cravings! Delicious! A worker in the corner wasn't wearing a mask which is why I did not give 5 stars. read more

Went there on a whim to purchase snacks for clients and family. Service was ok. Popcorn was old and stale (my clients told me that) and my family said as well. I tried some, no bueno. I understand because of the coronavirus and I was the only there, but at least can I have some fresh popcorn? I did spend over $60 so I was disappointed. Maybe I'll try them again when everything is running back to normal. read more

I have been going to this place for over 15 years and have yet to experience a single negative encounter even at Christmas time with them! They always have the best gifts to choose from and their popcorn is out of this world!! I have been going to Yo Pop for all my gifts and for my daily lunch! The owner and her daughter are always so friendly! I had to write a review after seeing what Stephanie B wrote because i have been going this place for so long that i actually know that the "teenage daughter" ISNT a teenager and is actually in her mid 20's!! and that baby stuff is for her daughter that she just had a year ago!! If people are actually going to write a review they should actually get to know the owner and the employees before writing comments. I have always supported "Moms & Pops" stores... and thats what i like to see is their family in the store and appreciating each customer that walks in the store! Yo Pop is truly a "Mom & Pops" store that i will always return too! They do get crazy busy during times, but isnt that a good thing too see in this economy these days! Everyone who is the area should go and check out all the goodies they have in the store!! They have a great selection of everything!! read more

4 key points: 1. You should never put a 3 year old to work with a credit card machine. 2. If you have a 3 year old at work, they should be constantly supervised. 3. All staff should be nice to customers. 4. The event is forgivable, the response is not. This owner needs to read her other reviews over the past 5 years that say the same thing about her rudeness, quality and service issues. Her tirade of emails calling us liars is very unprofessional as well. A simple apology for a bad day would have been nice, but instead, all we got were further insults and accusations. She has the audacity to blast me for posting that she had a 3 yr old running her credit card machine, but no issue with the fact that she had a 3 year old actually doing her credit card transactions??? If you don't want comments on Yelp about your 3 year old, then don't have a 3 year old processing credit card transactions! Here are the rest of our exchanges: Beth H. There were two of us, so no, we didn't imagine this rude treatment, and my coworker DID ask if you had any other flavors in the back for which she was told that "everything was out". No one mentioned a large order, but instead said to her "we make it all in the morning and when it's gone, it's gone!" We have no problem with bringing a child to work, but the 3 year old WAS extremely rude to us, and yes, even earlier than age 3 they are quite able to throw things. Perhaps yall were both having a better day when you had the tipping customers. Having an off day is understandable and acceptable, however your defensive response saying we are liars was not. Linda R. Owner hi Beth, You and your co-worker were asking about our Specialty Flavors of popcorn, which we were out because they had all been purchased. I guess we just have a big miscommunication story. There are two sides to every story. I hope we can both agree though that the comments about a 3 year old need to be kept to ourselves as she is only 3 years old! Beth H. I disagree. We only asked about two flavors: caramel, or the caramel and chocolate combination. No other flavors. And if you can teach your 3 year old to operate electronics, you can teach her to be nice to customers, never rude, and not to throw things. She was angry because she apparently wanted something that you had just said no to. While I love small children, they also need to be supervised, which she was not or you would have seen her rude behavior and the throwing of my credit card, pen and receipt. We're done here. Linda R. Owner You should never put a 3 year old on any type of social media form! I think any mother would agree to that! So thank you for showing your true colors! read more

The popcorn was expensive, and had no flavor! The butter tasted stale and didn't have any butter flavor. The lady who waited on me was also rude. She was on a personal phone call, and acted "Put out" that she had to wait on me. I know that many years ago this was a good place. Now it is old and dirty. Old like their popcorn. read more

The owner here was very rude from the time I walked in the door. She looked at me as if I had no business inside the store, and watched me like a hawk the entire time. I was completely baffled as to why. I can honestly say, without hesitation, that I will never step foot into that place again... nor will anyone I associate with. Business owners must learn to show humaneness towards others if they want to be supported by their locals. I highly suggest not to spend your money here if you are looking for any kind of customer service or kindness for that matter. You would think that they would treat all of their customers like human beings since we are giving them are money. I'm still in shock regarding the owner's behavior. read more
