The first time I visited needing a lot of popcorn, I was warmly greeted by two young ladies who asked me if I had been there before. I had not, so they explained what they have available. It didn't so much pertain to my situation, so I told them about what I needed and they were extremely helpful. Since that weekend, I've been back every weekend for at least 5 or 6 weeks and the popcorn is always enjoyed. We've tried many flavors in bulk and haven't found any that were not loved. The people behind the counter have changed a few times, but the experience is always the same, great, friendly, helpful service. It's been mildly busy a couple of times, but I've never waited very long and there's lots to look at so you would never get bored! If you save receipts, like I do for a company credit card, whatever payment service they are using auto-imports receipts to my credit card, which is super helpful! And you earn points toward rewards and status, which I hope my company appreciates! :-) read more

I can't tell you how many times I have driven passed this place and never looked it up. I would always say one day I'll check it out. Well today I had the opportunity'. To my surprise they have all sorts of popcorn varieties and they have all sorts of basket gifts and sizes. It's exactly what I needed as I was going to send a thank you basket to the hospital for the amazing job they did with my nephew. God did a miracle and they treated him amazing. Well the staff got right to it helped me pick items bagged them all up and got me on my way. I can't tell you how satisfied I was with it and then the nurses and drs all loved the flavor and started to share it. Many smiles were made with the popcorn. So I'm a new customer for sure! read more

I have never left a review anywhere before in my life. I called. I placed an order told them I was on my way. I get here and they closed early. How atrocious awful customer service. I can't even leave a voicemail so this is my only outlet. Don't waste your time or your money at this company read more

Over priced but what was interesting is I choose no tip and it still put a 20% tip on there. So watch your receipts. Very deceptive place.

Have been going to this place for years and love their popcorn!! They always have new flavors in rotation, let you sample popcorn before you buy it and have great customer service. If you want to mix flavors, they let you my favorite mix is buffalo and ranch. highly recommend this place to anybody and everyone. read more

Lonestar Gourmet Popcorn - All I can show you is the outside sign because they're not open even though they said they were - Popcorn Shops Near Me - Flower Mound, Texas

This place has very good popcorn...well most of it....they must know it because they charge you an arm and a leg for it. You're going to come out of some money with their specialty popcorns like oreo, my favorite, and butterfinger (the mini is $6 and some change a small is about $18). Don't get any of their candied popcorn with the dyes. You taste chemical in every bite. Service is always good. Usually high school age employees, nothing spectacular. I don't live in flower mound or anywhere CLOSE, but I always make sure I stop by this place when my kiddos visit their grandparents . read more

Lonestar Gourmet Popcorn - $22!!! Butter and Oreo! So worth it! - Popcorn Shops Near Me - Flower Mound, Texas

Amazing popcorn! Consistently fresh and tasty and that's a fact! I've been buying popcorn here for years, and have even been around when the shop either was sold or hired a new manager. Through that change, the popcorn was amazingly fresh, consistent, and on the mark. They introduced pre-bagged Movie Theatre Butter and it is superb! I love popcorn, but just don't like the smell that resides in your house after you cook it. It's a little pricey BUT I'm okay with paying for an excellent product. Kudos to the woman who is almost always there when I go. She's doing a terrific job. I wish I had the money to buy a franchise! read more

I really like their products. In fact that is what I asked for and received fir my birthday and Christmas from my wife and daughters

I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude for such a wonderful experience at your darling shop. The popcorn was absolutely delicious and made for the perfect stocking stuffer! I was anxious to try this popcorn place with my grandkids. I was very disappointed with the stale popcorn and taffy that had to be licked off the wax paper. I also got jalapeno cheddar that was very stale and the bottom of the barrel. So sad this place was so bad it was decorated with fun item for the kids. Sadly I will not take them back. read more

Lonestar Gourmet Popcorn - a bag of corn - Popcorn Shops Near Me - Flower Mound, Texas

Growing up, I remember a time when flavored popcorn was very popular, and several different stores popped up (pun intended) all over town. They sprinkled their popcorn with flavored spices or coated them in caramel, but a majority of the flavors tasted like the cheap, powered flavoring they were. After a few years, the novelty had worn off and most of them had disappeared. I think Lonestar Gourmet Popcorn will prove to be different than those stores. After lunch at Mi Cocina this afternoon, my wife and I walked across the parking lot to check it out. We were immediately impressed by the varied selection of around 60 flavors. They have their popcorn divided into 6 flavor categories: Traditional, Savory, Lonestar Blends, Candied, Nutty, and Speciality. Each of the categories is slightly more complex and expensive than its predecessor. That being said, all of the prices are reasonable across all 6 available sizes. They also offer party sizes, gift tins, and a variety of candies. Keeping to my typical selections, I decided to give Southwest Jalapeno a spin as I was informed it was definitely the most spicy blend. My wife chose peanut butter and chocolate. After all, you can never go wrong with the classic Reese's combination. It worked out both choices, although completely different, were smart ones. The Southwest Jalapeno had a serious bite and wasn't the disappointment of most jalapeno popcorn flavorings I've come across. Too often they are more salt than spice. That was not the case at Lonestar. Each piece was nicely coated, and you could taste the jalapeno as well as enjoy the fiery bonus. To be honest, I think I preferred my wife's choice. This was not a flavoring sprinkled on the popcorn, but rather It was a 50/50 blend of popcorn coated with either real chocolate or peanut butter. A beautiful thing! The crunch of the popcorn and the way the chocolate and peanut butter coat your tongue is perfect. You'll find your self doing the jelly belly thing - 1 chocolate, 1 peanut butter, both together, etc. I'm very glad we decided to take the short walk across the parking lot today. Even better, I'm enthusiastic about the thought of going back for "continued research." I may be in love. read more

They have so many flavors that it's overwhelming. But that's a good thing! I was especially smitten with their banana pudding-flavored popcorn. Sounds weird, but it's delicious. My only criticism is that it's a bit pricey. But it's cool to splurge & treat yourself every blue moon. It's an adventure to sample all the different flavors. A wonderful excursion for children, too! read more

Popcorn shop! Why not!! Fun flavors and very fresh. We were told the bulk containers can stay on the shelf 5 days and they are fresh for up to 2 weeks at home. We tasted several flavors and all good. We brought home a salted caramel dark chocolate, salt & vinegar, Texas two step, and a cheddar. I ate the sat & vinegar on the way home. Very nice and helpful counter lady. Very pleasant smile and appears happy to offer samples and assist. They also have some creative gift ideas. Please check it out. I think I will shop here for everyone's stocking stuffers. I can't wait to go back again and try new flavors. I just wanted to add that the popcorn stayed fresh for days after. Very happy with the shelf life. read more

My wife and I were talking over the weekend, how we were suddenly in the mood for popcorn. We blamed it on the Halloween events and cooler weather. Lo and behold, driving through Flower Mound on 2499, we glance over and see the sign for Lonestar! They've been there since April, and we had no idea. This place is amazing. Absolutely amazing. If you like flavored popcorn at all, this is paradise. They have just about every flavor one could imagine, both savory and sweet. With free samples, you can sort through them one at a time to figure out what suits your fancy. My wife, a Dr. Pepper nut (native Texan...figures...I think it's a genetic trait) went for the Dr. Pepper-flavored corn, and wound up buying a HUGE bag. It does taste just like the drink, very very tasty. I went for what I was craving, some sort of spicy cheese corn. Spicy Queso it is! This has a coating that, when you eat it, actually has the creamy consistency of queso dip! It was a Willy Wonky moment, it's like eating popcorn actually dipped in queso. My second choice was sopapilla (seemed a good combo for the queso) and it's even better. Tastes just like the dessert, absolutely delicious and addictive. Beyond the corn, they have a vast variety of display and gift options, and a big variety of other candies. This includes an impressive array of classic candy such as the Valomilk that this Kansas City boy misses from his childhood. Salt water taffy, colored M&M's and Sixlets to mix and match, gourmet suckers, even a fine variety of cold sodas including the Stewarts line I haven't seen since I lived in CA! The prices are very, very reasonable, and the service is great. Can NOT recommend them more. read more

Delicious! Honestly, I'm in love with their puppy chow flavor. They have a huge variety and the prices are reasonable. If you're into something different they have quite the variety of unique flavors that you would never expect as popcorn. I definitely would recommend to anyone! read more

OK I know this is not Garrett"s popcorn and once you have tasted Garrett's caramel crisp it's hard for for other popcorn stores to equal. I tried Lonstar caramel popcorn and its was ok. It tasted more like flavored brown colored suger than caramel. Thier other candy flavored popcorn was better tasting. There has to be a store here in DFW that has great caramel popcorn. I'll keep searching. read more

Taste it before you buy it!!! While they are usually good, we got 2 bags of the Show Time Butter that were so salty I got blisters on the inside of my mouth. When we pointed it out to the shop, we got "well, I'm not sure how that could have happened". I'll tell you- someone screwed up the salt!!! No discount on our next bags or anything. We will tase before we buy in the future- every bag, every time. read more

We love your popcorn but are going home tonight with three very upset children. We checked you hours on maps and yelp and it says you are open till 9:00pm but when we arrived at 8:00pm you were closed and the sign on the door said 7:00pm. Please make the changes on maps and yelp. Not happy campers! read more

Best popcorn anywhere! Try the Buffalo Wing mixed with Ranch......sooooo good. And the Dark Chocolate sea salt is also a favorite of ours.

My man and I can't get enough of the spicy popcorn offerings served at Lonestar. Every time we're in the neighborhood we drop in to pick up large bags of some really savory and tasty popcorn. Sure, we end up scarfing it all down in one sitting when we get it home, but that's a sure sign that Lonestar has interesting and addicting flavors to keep you coming back. Recommend the Southwest Jalapeno, Jalapeno Ranch, white cheddar and parmesan garlic. They also sell some interesting taffy flavors too! read more
