Cute little spot, the flavors are very unique. I was looking for a classic vanilla but to my surprise they didnt have it. I ordered the chocolate chip cookie dough and it was super creamy but not too sweet. My sister in law got a marshmallow ice cream which she loved and my mother in law got the praline which she also loved. They also had a variety of other chocolate goods. Apparently Kilwins is a big chain that has been around a long time, but honestly I don't think I have ever been to one until I visited the Grapevine location, right on Main Street in the heart of Downtown. The service here was fantastic. We were shopping for some Easter candies and when we walked in we knew within a few minutes we had cone to the right place. I wish I could capture the smell and put it in my review, but it was magical with waffle cones baking, mixed with the smells of chocolate and other goodies throughout the store! They had so many goodies it was unbelievable! Chocolates, ICE Creams, Caramel Apples, Fudge, and Candies. The staff was so nice about guiding us to what we wanted to help the kids in our lives have a great Easter. We chose several sizes of Chocolate Easter Bunnies, some Sour Gummy Bears, some Sanded Lemon Drops, chocolate Covered Cherries, Chocolate Jordan Almonds and some Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. I think I was as excited shopping here as and the fun the kids will have getting these items! The one thing we saw that we could not come home with that particular day are ICE cream cakes. It had been a few years since I last visited Main Street for ice cream. This time, I decided to visit Kilwins. I recognized the name from my last visit to Michigan. Tonight, the store was busy with folks buying chocolate. Only a few were here for ice cream like myself. With only a single large scoop, their specialty sundaes did not seem too huge especially the Dusty Miller. For some reason, all the descriptions for the sundaes specifically mention vanilla ice cream. Regardless, I got the Dusty Miller with Cookies 'n Cream. Although I could only see the dusting of malt power on the cherry, it definitely made the cherry taste better than usual. Next time, if possible, I would skip the sundae and get ice cream topped with the malt powder. Rather than fudge topping, theirs came with chocolate sauce. Most of it sank to the bottom, so it turned the waffle bowl into a chocolate waffle bowl. Fortunately, the ice cream was chocolatey enough due to the plentiful of Oreo pieces. read more

What an amazing "little" chocolate store find on main street Grapevine. They have a number of their own items pre-boxed or pre-bagged available as you walk into the store. The store itself is well maintained and very welcoming! So many treats to look at and pick from! Then they have two counters next to each other. One for their ice cream and the other for their weighted chocolate selections. Both sides have amazing options at amazing prices. I always appreciate places that have both milk and dark chocolate options. Bonus points: they have caramel apples!!! Staff was friendly and personable when we visited. Very kind to my kids when helping them pick out their ice cream flavors. As well as having patience with us picking out our chocolate items and answering the kids questions about the chocolates. We went here to get ice cream after dinner. The ice cream place makes its own ice cream which is nice. The place does get crowded and you do have to wait in line, but it is worth it. They do not have much selections in terms of flavors. I ordered a root beer float and my wife got a sundae. The ice cream was very good and service was excellent. Stopped in to check out the new confectionery store in Grapevine on Main Street today for their grand opening Many samples of treats that are made in house. I tried their bunny tails ( which is peanut butter crispy's dipped in dark white or milk chocolate) I tried the caramel apple dipped dark chocolate and got several of the treats to go for Easter. I didn't notice any seating and the is very small but definitely a good place to grab some ice cream or candy treat for yourself or a gift. I love chocolate. And apples. And ice cream. So when I stumbled across this little gem that has ALL THREE, I immediately fell in love. One step in the door and you're met with all the childhood giddy of the smell of sweetness. But it's taken up a few notches because this candy is gourmet. I wandered around a bit and admired the selection of boxed chocolates and the gigantic chocolate Easter bunny (my son would have SO much fun with that). I eventually decided to get a couple more reasonable sized bunnies to take home. Had I not already been full from dinner, I would have likely tried the ice cream and the apples-they looked delicious. I stood there 10 minutes before some asked to help me. this is my second time coming in Kilwins in Grapevine on Main st. the first time was the same reaction from the employees I went in to purchase a Gourmet Pecan taffy apple, I guess it's a good thing I'm not a Texas resident.
