Texas truffles - A square transparent plastic box filled with assorted chocolates decorated with holiday-themed shapes such as stars and Christmas trees. The chocolates are colorful, with some featuring metallic or matte finishes. A gold ribbon is tied in a bow on the top left corner of the box. A round label on the front displays the logo and website of Chocolate Hangover, a confectionery business. The box is placed on a gray surface.

Down a small side street off Main Street in downtown Grapevine, this tiny chocolate shop is bursting with sweets. Fudge and Texas truffles are the main draws; the latter are a nice souvenir to take home if you're traveling, but these babies will put a dent in your wallet. There were many flavor options and staff wrote them on the label on the bottom of the box to keep track: good thinking!

Pistachio Cream Chocolate Bar (famous "Dubai Chocolate") - A person holds a partially eaten chocolate bar with nuts inside, wrapped in clear plastic with gold lettering. The background shows an outdoor seating area with tables, chairs, and a person standing nearby, suggesting a casual setting outside a chocolate shop or cafe.

This place is hidden on the side of building along Main Street. In fact, I stumbled upon it by accident. Chocolate Moonshine is a cute, tiny little boutique chocolate shop. It's got a creative moonshine theme throughout, with several chocolates that have the flavor and/or real liquor in them. You can sample practically everything! Prices are a little higher than I was imagining. The chocolates are hand crafted, so that's got to make up it! I got a four pack of the chocolate truffle bars ($12). I sampled several different ones before making my final selection. There are so many flavors to choose from, it was hard to pick just 4. They all have colorful paint-like designs on them, very pretty. I went with coconut, dark chocolate, orange, and mint. While their chocolates are good, the flavors were way too subtle. I could barley taste the orange and coconut flavors. I was told that the fudge has much stronger flavoring, especially the ones made with liquor. I did sample one and I can agree with that statement. Next time I will be bringing home some fudge! *They also offer chocolate babysitting, if you're planing on walking around in this Texas heat. Leave your chocolates in the AC and get them when you are done! Cute idea.

During a recent road trip, I met up with a friend and we wandered up and down Main Street in Grapevine. We stumbled upon this little shop and were smitten with the whole experience. The owner, Jennifer, immediately welcomed us to the shop and offered us samples of the chocolate and fudge. As someone who works with chocolate, I know how challenging it is to nail the texture, flavor, and color that her chocolatier achieves. Everything was delicious and I really liked all the unique choices. However, our favorite part of the visit was the freezer of boozy chocolate pops! We got a couple of them to enjoy while we browsed the shop and they were so delicious. You'd probably have to consume quite a few of them to have them impair you in any way, but they are really refreshing on a hot day. It was definitely worth the visit and I would be happy to return if I'm ever passing through Grapevine again.

Chocolate bar - The image shows a glass display case filled with assorted chocolates, including truffles, fudge, and decorated confections, arranged in rows with labels. Behind the case, a woman is partially visible, and the background features a black wall with colorful handwritten instructions and promotional signs for a chocolate shop. The shop has a rustic wooden counter and various decorative items, including a sign indicating sanitized conditions and allergy information.

I stopped by here few times with family and tried great samples before purchasing a few varieties. If you need to purchase something and you want to come back later to pick it up, they offer, "Babysitting" area for your sweet and precious chocolates. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and are able to assist with any questions you may have. I would certainly recommend this place if you're looking for organic sweet treats without chemicals. Since I had been wanting to check it out for years but haven't since limited mobility can make things difficult, we took the opportunity to pop in there and see what they had. Dr. Sue believes that a person that consumes her all-natural dark chocolate gets a decadent treat while having a healthier option than the person might otherwise eat. Dark chocolate? Decadent? Healthy? I'm in! While I love dark chocolate, I find that many are just too bitter to enjoy. In my opinion, Dr. Sue's dark chocolate is absolutely perfect! I don't know what % chocolate she uses but I did not find it bitter at all! We purchased a 4-ounce bag of each (1) Toasted Coconut Chocolate Bark, (2) Cranberry Orange Chocolate Bark, and (3) Peppermint Chocolate Bark. I was surprised to find that of the three, I liked the Peppermint Chocolate Bark the least - I thought it would be my #1 but I was wrong. The smooth chocolate in each bark was indeed decadent and definitely the star of the show! The little crunch of the bits of coconut and the cranberry and orange topping another package were definitely best supporting...everything! The bite, the chew, the mouthfeel in general, the taste - all were spot on! We will most definitely be return customers! Next time I'd really like to try the hot chocolate bar as well!

I came way too late in the day (didn't pre-plan at all haha) so I did miss the brötchen however I got some Bavarian rye & an olive loaf, plus a square of pumpkin spice crumble and lebkuchen. I particularly recommend the olive bread: it genuinely tastes like you have just dipped a piece of great bread in some well seasoned, quality olive oil! Finding this bakery means a lot to me. I used to live in Germany as a child and because my memory isn't great, I mostly have my palate / sensory memory to go by. These flavors brought me right back. I noticed that stollen was being sold but I didn't pick it up just because I wasn't sure about the authenticity. Now I know that I definitely want a piece - you have to have at least a half loaf during the holidays!

This is not a place you can sit to eat and drink; there is no seating, so expect to purchase and go. I got a country loaf, wheat loaf, and three almond bars for $22. Everything was fresh and delicious. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because I sadly have to agree with some of the other reviews about the customer service. There were two women working while we were there. The younger girl was sweet and friendly, but the older lady was quite rude and unpleasant. Seeing as I had been excited to visit for quite some time, it was disappointing and off-putting to be met with attitude/grumpiness from staff. Ultimately, I can look past it though, as the bread is worth it.
