I am so sad to see Kate Weiser close their doors. I had tried them at their Northpark location; so I was glad to see them open a little closer to home in the fall of last year. They had some really good and interesting flavors. I do hope that they continue with an online option, and hopefully can reopen in the future.

I'm so happy to have found this new chocolate shop on Main Street! I've been wanting to try the the Carl Hot Chocolate experience, and it was definitely worth the trip. An extra treat was getting to meet Kate and hearing the history of Carl -- such a fun story! I loved the quaint seating, the friendly staff, and of course the delicious hot chocolate. What a wonderful addition to Main Street!

First time at this location and it was hoppin on a Saturday during the holidays. A lot of customers were getting the Carl hot chocolate at the hot chocolate bar. I just got a couple of chocolates and they were delicious as ever. Salted caramel is always my go to and also tried gingerbread. Glad they have a location here now.

Dr. Sue's Chocolate - (Grapevine)…read more Located in downtown, this cute little shop offers handmade, organic Dark, Milk and White chocolate. Everything made in house. I stopped by here few times with family and tried great samples before purchasing a few varieties. If you need to purchase something and you want to come back later to pick it up, they offer, "Babysitting" area for your sweet and precious chocolates. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and are able to assist with any questions you may have. I would certainly recommend this place if you're looking for organic sweet treats without chemicals. Since I had been wanting to check it out for years but haven't since limited mobility can make things difficult, we took the opportunity to pop in there and see what they had. Dr. Sue believes that a person that consumes her all-natural dark chocolate gets a decadent treat while having a healthier option than the person might otherwise eat. Dark chocolate? Decadent? Healthy? I'm in! While I love dark chocolate, I find that many are just too bitter to enjoy. In my opinion, Dr. Sue's dark chocolate is absolutely perfect! I don't know what % chocolate she uses but I did not find it bitter at all! We purchased a 4-ounce bag of each (1) Toasted Coconut Chocolate Bark, (2) Cranberry Orange Chocolate Bark, and (3) Peppermint Chocolate Bark. I was surprised to find that of the three, I liked the Peppermint Chocolate Bark the least - I thought it would be my #1 but I was wrong. The smooth chocolate in each bark was indeed decadent and definitely the star of the show! The little crunch of the bits of coconut and the cranberry and orange topping another package were definitely best supporting...everything! The bite, the chew, the mouthfeel in general, the taste - all were spot on! We will most definitely be return customers! Next time I'd really like to try the hot chocolate bar as well!

I came way too late in the day (didn't pre-plan at all haha) so I did miss the brötchen however I got some Bavarian rye & an olive loaf, plus a square of pumpkin spice crumble and lebkuchen. I immediately tried everything when I got home and I am THOROUGHLY impressed. I will be coming back immediately for the brötchen even though I'm quite far! I particularly recommend the olive bread: it genuinely tastes like you have just dipped a piece of great bread in some well seasoned, quality olive oil! Finding this bakery means a lot to me. I used to live in Germany as a child and because my memory isn't great, I mostly have my palate / sensory memory to go by. These flavors brought me right back. I noticed that stollen was being sold but I didn't pick it up just because I wasn't sure about the authenticity. Now I know that I definitely want a piece - you have to have at least a half loaf during the holidays!

This is not a place you can sit to eat and drink; there is no seating, so expect to purchase and go. I got a country loaf, wheat loaf, and three almond bars for $22. Everything was fresh and delicious. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because I sadly have to agree with some of the other reviews about the customer service. There were two women working while we were there. The younger girl was sweet and friendly, but the older lady was quite rude and unpleasant. Seeing as I had been excited to visit for quite some time, it was disappointing and off-putting to be met with attitude/grumpiness from staff. Ultimately, I can look past it though, as the bread is worth it.
