My family and I ordered 2x Pineapple Fried Rice (1: Veggie; 1: steak) and 1: Fish & Chips. The pineapple fried rice was delicious. Relatively large plate and the steak had a lot of flavor - soft and sweet. I would order this dish again. The steak was an okay size - I suppose average for the additional price. A lot of fried rice is provided. If interested, there is enough pineapple remaining to scoop out after the fried rice is consumed. We sat outside and the restaurant ensured they provided us with a heater. The bartender was polite and the service was quick. Our waiter was very talkative and he provided a few recommendations - knowledgeable on the dish. Ultimately, we enjoyed the evening and would return again. read more

The food and ambiance were great but it took the server a long time just to bring us waters. We got our appetizers and it was hard to get her attention to remind her we asked for water. The day I visited was a slow day, and there were only 5 customers in the whole restaurant, yet my order was never taken. While, on the other hand, a group of 3 who were sat before us not only got their order taken but were served their food and drinks. We were given a menu and a cup of water, but the waitress never returned. We waited for 30 minutes before we decided to leave. A woman who was also the bartender was hanging out with a friend as if she wasn't on the clock and left the bar unattended. The staff there is not professional and lousy at their job. The restaurant needs employees who care to be there and take the job seriously. It's a shame this place is poorly run since I was originally excited to visit since the place seemed to have a laid-back environment with beachy vibes. Don't waste your time coming here. This is a hidden gem in Coronado! I found it by accident, and ended up going back, it was that good. Taylor is a treasure behind the bar, and makes a great mai tai! The poke tacos are perfect, and the pork sliders were some of the best I've ever had. All in all, this is a very refreshing take on an "island" bar as opposed to a tiki bar (and I love tiki bars). The music was perfect, and not so loud as to make it impossible to have a conversation. Their signature mai tai is delicious, and they've got a great selection of draught beer if you're just going in for lunch and a pint. Great place for a fair price! We came as a party of 6 with 2 children. They seated us quickly & the place was not too loud or too crowded. First time eating here and we had a really nice lunch! We wanted to eat near the theater and this was perfect. Walked up with no reservation and were seated within 2 minutes. Their outdoor seating is well set up (really appreciated the umbrellas on a sunny day) and you can people and dog-watch. Our server was very friendly, attentive, and helped with some recommendations. I got the Kalua Pork Sliders which were very flavorful and also tried the volcano fries and and chili crunch chicken which comes with a very good chili sauce (get extra!) . We arrived on Coronado Island on a Friday night and wandered down Orange St. We saw this cute place with tiki-like umbrellas and a surf-vibe. We figured, "why not"? I'm so glad we stopped in. It was early enough that not a lot of people were there and we picked a great seat under the umbrella outside and I asked for the heating element to be turned on. We had reservations for our anniversary , they sat us at a table and we sat there watching waitstaff walk by us like we didn't exist, finally a guy named Dallas walked by and said " how is everything " well you could imagine we weren't happy. My husband and I have been here a couple times now and we love it! Came in to celebrate my sons birthday and everyone was extremely satisfied with their food and the ambiance.
