This place was interesting to say the least. First off I think it is way over priced. 5 tiny coconut shrimp for 17.00 I could have bought a box at Costco for that price. The ahi nachos were okay way more chips then ahi, but I expected that. My sliders were meh I was just not impressed. The music was good at first, then it just turned into techno with the same song on replay. The service was great the people there were very attentive and friendly. I just think this place needs a refresher. The happy hour needs more food as well. All in all it was just not our vibe.

This is our second time here in a year and we came back because our first time was really good. Parking can be a hit or miss so once you find a spot, take it! Food: coconut shrimp was delicious, perfectly fried. Our main dishes were a little slow coming out which was surprising because we were 1 of 2 tables being occupied so it didn't seem busy but maybe it was between shifts since the bartender was also our server? I got the tofu Bai flight and it was great! The tofu was cooked perfectly and the sauce was a great addition. My husband got the loco moco and after a few bites, realized the hamburger was undercooked. He lost his appetite after that. We brought it to the servers attention and they were kind enough to remove it from our bill. Dessert: the mango sticky rice was good. The rice Krissy's sprinkled on top gave it a nice crunch. Mocktail: Bird of the Paradise was tasty and refreshing. Overall, other than the loco moco, the food was good and the service was slower than usual (almost an hour) for a Saturday at 3pm. Food quality: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 4/5

    Christmas decor (Dec 2025)

Overall this is my second time coming. We decided to come to see their Christmas decor/drinks. Overall, the decor was very nice & most drinks were good. We've tried the hurricane fries & the nachos. The nachos were not the best, but hurricane fries are decent if you need a snack. Service can be a little slow & at times they seem to be short staffed. This is a good spot if you want a place to sip & chill in the southbay area.

Mocktail and an excellent and powerful Painkiller.

This is a cute tiki-themed restaurant (family friendly) with a tiki-themed speakeasy in the back. I highly doubt the speakeasy allows kids. The restaurant is fine. They offer a happy hour of selected foods and drinks until 7 p.m. and who does happy hour until 7 p.m.? I love that. We tried the fries with kalua pork added and it is a massive dish that tastes absolutely wonderful. The fries are big and crispy and excellent. I would come here and get this dish every day, if I could. It is on the happy hour menu and you need to get it.. On the other hand, the musubi balls, also on the happy hour menu, while cooked perfectly, were really just breaded rice balls with tiny flecks of spam. Is spam so precious that no more than a few flecks could be added? This dish was just ok. I was extremely disappointed in the happy your mai tai. It was mostly tasteless. But the night was saved by the Painkiller (served in the speakeasy) which was perfectly made and was creamy, delicious, and wonderful. It also packs a wallop so be careful. I should add they do 8 different mocktails here. I tried two of them and they were both excellent and fairly priced. So, they get big points for the non-drinking mocktail crowd. The speakeasy is darker and, frankly, more fun that the restaurant but there is no reason you cannot hit both of them in the same night, like we did. The decor in the speakeasy if fun and playful. Overall Service was a little spotty in the restaurant but good in the speakeasy. Service in the restaurant needs some work. There is street parking and also a pay lot in the back. I believe the lot is free after 6 p.m. but don't send me your parking tickets if I am wrong. Overall, this is a fun place that is well worth a visit.

    My happy hour Mai Tai
    Ryan F.

So disappointing. Went for happy hour. The wings were so poorly flavored and felt low quality. The sliders and fries were okay. My Mai Tai was like a big drink of ice and some flavored water. Easily the worst cocktail I've ever had. Nice looking place but service and food and drink lacked. Other guests too I could tell were feeling like they were getting poor service and it wasn't that full.

First time dining here with family for dinner last week. I made reservations but you can walk in. We had so many different types of food, check it all out in the photos. I love the vibe. The server was great! Parking was available in the back but you may or may not have to pay depending on the time and day. They also have a speakeasy in the back.

What a hidden gem! Very delicious drinks, love their nacho chips made with wonton and add pulled pork, the yakisoba was amazing along with shrimp as the protein, been a return customer since my first visit! Oh, and I forgot to mention their drinks was amazing as well, definitely ordered their signature lime in the coconut drink. It's a cute little surprise towards the end if you look into your cup.

*customer service was great * fun atmosphere *delicious options * great for big parties * parking in the back This place is vibey. Great customer service Vanessa was helpful and prompt. The food was tasty. Loved the poke nachos and spicy ponzu edamame. The cocktail presentation is cool. They have happy hour which we recommend. The beef sliders are good great portion to share if you are having appetizers. Definitely a must try especially their speakeasy It is fun and trendy. Cocktails are good.

So I went to the little bar they have behind the restaurant, it's like a speak easy that's connected to them. This place is still tiki inspired, the service was good, friendly, nice people. The atmosphere was nice, great music and good vibes. The drinks were ok but the food was not that great, I got the steak or beef yakisoba and it was awful, I'm sorry I hate to say that but it's true. Overall, I'd go just for the drinks or try another item, definitely a cute place to check out though.

    PUPU PLATTER

They had a speakeasy pop-up during Christmas, so we checked them out. It looked like they were closed, but the entrance was towards the back. They had an inflatable Santa and Santa hats, along with tiki decor. We weren't too hungry, so we shared the pupu platter. It included some wings, coconut shrimp, nachos, and fried balls. It was a lot pretty good! For drinks, I got a mocktail and hubby chose the Sippin' Santa. The drinks were refreshing and came in cute mugs! Since it was in November, there were hardly any other groups, but I did run into a friend. I would love to come back when it's more lively and try their other menu items!

Do they sever mocktails at X?

If I made a reservation Is that for the speakeasy or the dining room?

It's for the speakeasy. When we went they did not take dining room reservations. So we made reservations at the X had a couple cocktails and then later had them find a table for us in the dining room. Appetizers are served at X.

    Are kids allowed here?

I believe so. The main dining room has plenty of open seats and you can order non-alcoholic drinks and plenty of food options for the kids.

Do you have to get a mixed drink? Can I get a bourbon on the rocks or a beer?

Yes. At the Tiki bar in the back, the selection was a bit limited but you can order other things. I took a peek at the main bar in the main restaurant and they had a wider selection, but I would say the whiskey options were limited. I don't remember… Read more

Do you need reservations for the main dining/drinking area or is it first come first serve?

The main dining room does walk in! Usually not too busy either so there's never an issue getting a table or booth.

Is there a tv to watch football? Is this a walk in, no reservation required?

Yes plenty of TVs. My group of 10 walked in on a late Saturday afternoon and were seated almost immediately

I'm seeing that it says Japanese, Vietnamese, Tiki. But where is the vietnamese? its more like Filipino food.

I think it's the Vietnamese preparation for chicken wings and tofu/mushrooms. Definitely subtle Filipino references and dishes in the menu.

I knew it was a speakeasy but he did not. I was trying to double-check on my phone that Craft & Commerce was the right restaurant its housed in (yes) when he tried to jet set off down the block "to keep looking" rather than listen to me. I yelled, "MOTHER!" by accident and then he did truly leave me hahaha. He resurfaced a few minutes later, and then we walked in. It was 5:15 at the time, so 15 minutes after opening. I had NO IDEA how popular this spot was, nor anything about its nation-wide reputation. I actually didn't know that until two days ago when a Yelp-friend at home here in Richmond, Virginia, exclaimed excitedly when I told her we stopped in. The host who greeted us was kind, informed us there had been a line to get in that day, but that they had one barrel left; we jumped on it of course. It was happy hour, so the first cocktail I ordered was dirt cheap at $9. It was the Imperial Hawaiian with gin, rum, lemon, pineapple, and orgeat. I really shouldn't have ordered a second drink after that one, but I did have the classic Saturn later on in the night and it was absurdly good! Definitely my favorite of the two. The moody tiki vibe was so cool and fun. They even had frogs you could play on the tables. We had some fun neighbors too, which livened up the experience even more. We had a great time and both walked out heavily buzzed. We were asleep by 8 that night, but it was worth it!

Once inside seating is first come first served so the place is insanely crowded with people trying to get drinks. Service is a little confusing as the waiters will come up to you with a menu asking for your order instead of an order at the bar type of thing. Once we actually got a seat things were okay. The menu is mostly rum drinks since this is a rum bar however since I'm not the biggest fan I ordered the only thing with tequila on the menu. My drink was actually really good, it was refreshing, not too sweet or strong at all. I just wish there would be more variety.

I came here again last night with friends and began to check in for our reservation with the bartender (the same bartender who had let me in the last time I was here). He spent a long time inspecting my CA REAL ID before going into the back. He returned and said he can't let me in since he doesn't trust my ID. He said store policy is that they have to be able to feel the imprint on your license's signature, which even he admitted that he could, but it was too faded so he wouldn't let me in. I showed him matching credit cards, Costco membership, and CA DMV mobile drivers license, but he still refused and pleaded ignorance. He gave me my driver's license back and said I'm lucky because he normally keeps fakes (thanks for the empty threat). In reality, he knew my license was legitimate and didn't want to have the cops called on him. This place really needs to update their policies and train their staff better on how to identify legitimate IDs. I'm definitely not gong to bother coming here again and will make sure I recommend others not to come here.
