We drove down from Escondido and were greeted by our amazing server, Christian, who immediately made us feel welcome. He recommended the Eek a Dragon Roll and the Sunset Roll--hands down the best sushi I've ever had, and I'm a big sushi fan! The flavors were fresh, perfectly balanced, and truly unforgettable. The service was top-notch and the drinks were just as impressive. Christian also recommended the house sangria and the Sake-Rita, and wow--10/10! The Sake-Rita was made with real guava syrup crafted in-house, and you could absolutely taste the freshness in every sip. I'm usually a slow drinker, but I finished mine before my boyfriend--it was that good. Definitely coming back again. Highly recommend!

Salmon tuna bowl. They added lemon, which now makes me think masked the not fresh tuna/salmon, which was slimy.

The mixed tempura was great! Server was great!! That's about it. The miso soup was salty, but i liked the big chunks of seaweed. The California roll's rice was cold and not cooked where i crunched on uncooked rice. I had the salmon tuna bowl, which was not fresh..kinda slimy. The kicker...I came home and got sick to my stomach, which i knew was related to the food, cuz i felt the ache coming when i went to the car (i didn't eat anything else that day). Not going back!! Also more expensive than other sushi places. I could have gone to all you can eat sushi at Little Sakana for the price of two rolls, mixed tempura and two miso soups.

I've visited Sushi Roll multiple times now and each time I was pleased. The service and ambiance is exceptional. Additionally, both times the sushi exceeded my expectations. The grilled chicken ramen hit the spot as well. I definitely want to visit again. Shout out to Ruben, who was our waiter. The man knows what sushi roll to recommend depending on your preference

Fresh sushi. Super attentive staff. Super cute decor. This place hit all the marks. The sushi tasted fresh and was presented beautifully. They had some unique rolls on the menu like the Bora Bora which had a coconut tempura crust. It was so delicious and we were happy to have felt adventurous and picked rolls outside of our typical selections. Our waiter was wonderful. He was very attentive and took notice that we really liked spiciness so he brought out this little bowl of sliced chilies, which he called Chiles toreados. I believe they were sliced Serrano peppers marinated in some type of Ponzu sauce. They were delicious and flavorful and added that kick that we always look for. The inside of the restaurant has a chic feel and almost makes you forget you're in south west Chula Vista.

Sushi roll is so underrated! They have Asian-Mexcan fusion food that's so creative and delicious. Every roll we had was delicious, fresh, and creative. We also tried the mango dish with Hamachi and it was delicious, but the most spectacular fish was the tempura Shishito Peppers!! They stole the show. The cocktails were all great too, such a creative way to integrate Asian flavors into classic cocktails! The service was also great, they were very attentive to our group, and the ambiance is casual with a little modern flair. Parking is limited but it is free!

Let me start off by saying I love sushi. We made sure to communicate that it's our first time here. Food was good but service sucks. Well our server because I had to call another server for some assistance. I told our server to bring our check after I asked him to check on our Togo roll. Then i mention to him that he never brung us any more water he said we had to ask him for water refill. He did not do anything to gain a tip. Nothing. Hate to leave a bad review for an employee. The couple next to us was served water multiple times with out asking js

First time visiting this place. It did not disappoint service was good edemame, agua de Mango, bunny roll and poki was very delicious. At your table you will find a sauce made by the chef which gives your dish a delicious addition. Can't wait to go back to try their ramen and another roll.

From the moment I walked in to the booth we sat at,The restaurant was very pleasant, the appetizers and food was amazing. I didn't order and alcohol beverage but it did look at the menu and I definitely want to come back. I want to give a shout out to the chef and management for having a great experience with the food and service, highly recommended it.

5/5 Food was Incredible, there's an item on the menu for anyone and everyone! The Rolls were amazing as well as the Mixed Hibachi plate, along with plenty of sauces to choose from. The mochi Dessert was a perfect night cap. The place looked great and had an overall cool and welcoming vibe. All Staff was very polite and attentive! Definitely coming back!

Waited 35 minutes while just being ignored multiple times by the staff and still had to wait even longer for the food to arrive.

First let me start with the customer service, it was great, from the door to getting seated to the waiters checking on us & the cooks smiling & the speed & quality of the service was all great. And the prices are very reasonable, they don't open till 5 tho, for dinner basically, weekends can get busy so get there early. The food was very good, I got the Chula Vita Ramen & I'd get it again, very filling & flavorful. The sushi was very fresh & good & filling as well, Abre La Boca Mucho was our fav roll, it can be shared with another person for sure, Viva Chula Vista was a good roll too. Miso soup was ok & no garlic edamame they have lemon butter edamame, if you like lemon & butter flavor you'll like it, it was ok but it lack a bit of flavor for me. My fav item here was the Jalapeño Popper as an appetizer, 8 pieces & man let me tell you, it was mouth watering & on point, it's a must to start with. Overall I good little spot & we come again for sure, keep up the good work Naruto & see you soon :)

We were seated right away to the half booth and half chair seating table. Our server was very customer service oriented. He took our order and he was very courteous and efficient. We ordered: 1 Shrimp & Veggie Tempura appetizer, 1 Crunchy Roll, 1 Philadelphia Roll, 1 Caterpillar Roll, and a fried rice. Everything was good. Our server was excellent. When I first pulled up, I thought the restaurant was closed permanently. I saw a wood plank on the window. No one answered the phone. I walked up and the glass door was slightly open, which indicated the restaurant was open. The inside is not nice at all. Like I said... The space looks really beat up. They have a sushi counter with no counter seating. I ordered the OMG roll and the person helping me at the front said the roll would take about 10 to 15 minutes, so I decided to sit down and order two (2) orders of nigiri while I waited because I was starving. Well, the roll came out in like three (3) minutes (it was just ok) and I hadn't even received the nigiri yet. Then the nigiri arrived, but it wasn't nigiri; it was sashimi. I ordered the fatty salmon and fatty yellowtail. I wish I hadn't. The fish did not taste fresh. Won't be coming here again.

Service was quick, and they checked in often to take additional orders. I'd recommend ordering any baked or fried rolls early in the meal since those seemed to take the longest to come out. My favorite item was the special of the day: spicy garlic tuna carpaccio, served thinly sliced with crunchy garlic oil on top. The kids really enjoyed the udon, edamame, and California rolls, and there are plenty of options for picky eaters. Price-wise, I'd say it's in line with other sushi spots. Our total came to $230 for the five of us (three adults and two kids), which worked out to about $46 per person including drinks. If you come hungry and ready to make the most of the AYCE option, it's worth it. If you're a lighter eater or only stick to one or two types of sushi, they also have a regular menu with individually priced items.
