As my daughter would say... this place is low key buns.... Ordered poke bowls and a chicken curry dish. Service wasn't super friendly to begin with and then never came back to check on us. No check up on the food and no refills of any water. Had to flag waitress down to ask where we pay at the end. We were 1 of 2 tables in the place so they weren't busy so not sure what their excuse would be. Poke bowls are over-priced and all of the dishes/bowls were packed full of rice as a filler with very little actual protein and other ingredients on top. Definitely one of those places that is intentionally being cheap with the ingredients. The Curry sauce was very thin and watery. No spice at all. Closer to a light gravy. Not enough sauce on the dish but since it wasn't good and had no flavor, so it didn't really matter anyways. Also grossed out by the bathroom. You need a key which is attached to a cooking ladle type thing... obviously so you don't walk out with it and they don't lose it. But they pass it to customers (me being one of them) and then we return it and they take it back with their bare hands and go about their business.... Touching money.... Serving food.... Whatever..... didn't wash their hands from what i could see so that is super gross. Bathroom was dirty and I can only imagine what people do in there and where they place the key and who may or may not wash their hands along the way. Definitely more sanitary ways to handle this.... But they must think the gas station method is acceptable for a restaurant. Wouldn't recommend personally. read more

As repeat customer over the last several years I would give Leo's Kitchen 4 stars. The quality of the ingredients is good and the chefs typically come up with tasty and interesting sushi fusion dishes. However, this last meal has an egregious lack of quantity. For $20 the poke nachos had such a small serving of ahi and krab that my family will refrain from eating here in the future. This problem also extends to their sushi rolls. I cannot in good conscience recommend Leo's Kitchen since other similar meals with better proportions can be had elsewhere in the city for less. read more

Had such a weird customer service experience. I tried to place an online order through Chow Now and was experiencing issues and the order would not go through. I called in and explained how I could not place the order online and if I could place my order through the phone and still use the promo code for a discount. The lady on the phone was helpful and said when I come in I could tell them what the code was and they would apply it to my order. However, when I went in to pick up my order & explained the situation the lady who helped me on the phone was not there and it was somebody else. She didn't know how to help so she called the owner to verify. She told me they were unable to apply the discount since it was through Chow Now and not directly through them. The waitress even over heard the situation and said she remembers the previous lady who answered my phone call say that they would allow it. But she still wouldn't even try to understand the situation and just kept saying she couldn't. Overall, it was a weird experience and not worth arguing about. The items we ordered were: Hot Cheeto roll: spicy crab, cucumber, avocado, covered in hot Cheeto crumbs, spicy mayo, siracha dots - the roll tasted good, but the hot cheeto crumb didn't really add spiciness or enhance the flavor of the roll. SD Roll: cream cheese, avocado, salmon, tempura fried, topped with jalapeño, spicy mayo, siracha dot and eel sauce - we loved the creaminess and how each flavor complimented the other. Tiger roll: cucumber, avocado, crab, shrimp tempura topped with avocado, eel sauce, spicy mayo and sesame seeds - something fried, something sweet and something spicy. What more do you need? OMG roll: cucumber, avocado, crab, shrimp tempura, topped with spicy crab, jalapeño, eel sauce and sesame seeds - simple but still tasty. Kids teriyaki bowl - the teriyaki sauce was balanced, the chicken cooked well and the veggies fresh. We paid roughly $88.60 (with tip). It was a complete hit and nothing was left behind! Everyone kept asking where it was from. At first I was going to call to order and pick it up but when my coworker said they're quick with delivery, we just took the chance and again, they did not disappoint. I read that as you walk in to this establishment it smells like nasty used deep frying oil, and that was accurate! When I walked in, it was nasty. I almost turned around and walked right out. I've always loved this restaurant for its sushi, but my most recent visit on March 6 was a huge disappointment due to the service. I wanted to wait a few days before writing this review, but I still feel the same way. My friends and I were assisted by Brittney, who was noticeably unfriendly. She seemed angry and upset the entire time, which made our dining experience uncomfortable. From the beginning, she told us that we had less than 15 minutes to order off the happy hour menu and made it clear that if we ordered anything from it, we wouldn't be able to take it to go without paying full price. While we understand restaurant policies, the way she delivered this information felt unwelcoming rather than helpful. On top of that, she didn't bring us utensils or chopsticks, and when I tried to lighten the mood with a joke about ordering first (since it was my birthday), she didn't even crack a smile. My friends and I were honestly shocked at her demeanor. I want to emphasize that I still love this restaurant for its food, but this experience left a bad impression. Great sushi can only go so far when the service is lacking, and unfortunately, that was the case on this visit. Came in for the Poke but was thrown off by the ambiance. They are located in a strip mall with both a front and back entrance. We walked in on a Sunday evening and was seated quickly. We ordered a Large Hula bowl and didn't make any changes. I was most thrown off that the tuna was flavorless, not being seasoned with anything. It was also hard enough to bite into. Everything else was good from the toppings to the sauce to the miso soup.
