The Hotel Hershey is one of those rare places that feels magical no matter how many times you visit. I've been coming here for years for the spa, for dinners, for brunch, for events and it still manages to take my breath away every single time. The property is immaculate. The level of care put into this hotel is honestly unmatched. The grounds? Flawless. The décor? Timeless and elegant. The vibe? Warm, inviting, and completely its own world. I've seen the hotel in every season, and it never disappoints, but Christmas really brings out the sparkle. The fountain lobby which is already my favorite space in the whole property was glowing with a massive Christmas tree that looked straight out of a holiday movie. (The fountain wasn't running this time, which I'm assuming is seasonal, but when it is on... that gentle water sound is heavenly.) Walking through the Spanish-inspired hallways is like stepping into old-world luxury. Arched ceilings, wrought iron details, stained glass overhead, tiled floors it's elegant without being pretentious, historic without feeling outdated. And everything is spotless. Like, Disney-level spotless. The lobby area is smaller and cozy, lined with little boutique shops selling everything from Lululemon to Lilly Pulitzer to spa products. There's also a café with breakfast, coffee, and quick bites, and that alone feels like its own sweet little experience. I'm local (about 30 minutes away), so I haven't stayed overnight recently, but I did years ago and the rooms were gorgeous, comfortable, and fit the same elevated feel as the rest of the property. During warmer months, the outdoor areas are just as stunning. Flowers everywhere, lush greenery, patios, and fire pits where you can roast marshmallows and take in the views. It's peaceful in a way that makes you want to slow down and breathe for a minute. Bottom line: The Hotel Hershey is consistently beautiful, impeccably maintained, and wonderfully unique. Whether you're coming for brunch, the spa, a weekend away, or just wandering around to soak up the ambiance, it's one of those places that never stops being special. An absolute gem! Hershey at its finest.

This hotel is beautiful and fun! There are games and activities, the staff is so kind (free candy) and room service is helpful. Five star!

I had an incredible stay at the Hotel Hershey when I visited for a day. The hotel staff was so friendly and welcoming, it really started our trip off on the right foot. The hotel room was pretty small and old but still incredibly nice and clean. The hotel is filled with boutiques, restaurants, and a gym/spa. Everything is incredible nice and clean. I will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit.

We enjoyed our recent stay at the Hotel Hershey villas! The concierge services were subpar at best because it was the offseason, we had requested a massage service and never heard back meanwhile they are supposed to make it happen for you. We didn't need dining reservations so we can't comment on that, but the room service as always is top notch. The associates working in the lounge were also very accommodating! Having food allergies while being away from home can be tricky but they catered to my every need. Having a hot bagel with the continental breakfast was divine! The girl in the evening mentioned they had rolls but we never saw any. Also, they state they serve mocktails (we don't drink) during the cocktail hour in the lounge but we never saw any menu for the options. We were disappointed when there were no s'mores in the evening as advertised but there was a fantastic dessert selection available. The housekeeping staff was terrific and ensured that our room was clean. They even provide umbrellas if needed. We should also note that the villas exclusive check in or check out was unavailable during the entirety of our stay. Overall, we were happy with our stay and would like to check it out in season to truly see what the Hotel to offer. Again, off season might not be the best time to visit to experience the way the villas are meant to be but if you are looking for lounge access with a wonderful room with parking right outside your door then the Villas at Hotel Hershey are for you!

I found myself at Hotel Hershey for a bachelorette party for one of my best friends. This was going to be a new adventure for me on multiple levels - I've never been to a bachelorette party, and I had never been to Hershey, PA before. Arrangements were made for us to stay here, specifically in the Villas - so I was looking forward to exploring this place for the first time. Like my other hotel reviews, I'll divide this into pros and cons - so here we go. There's a lot to like about The Hotel Hershey - first and foremost it's in a premier location. You're right by Hersheypark and all its associated attractions, ZooAmerica, and all the hot spots on Chocolate Avenue. The hotel has a very grand presence - sitting at the top of a hill with clean lines and a high-end aesthetic on the interior. The decor was mixed - there was a combination of opulence and Spanish style, the latter being especially apparent on the second floor which housed the former main lobby. They have a couple of restaurants on site, as well as a bar/lounge, a spa, and a few retail stores. We stayed in the Villas which were overall another pro for me. There were several bedrooms in each villa which was great so we could all stay under one roof - there were two great rooms/common areas what contained fireplaces and overall cozy aesthetics. We also had access to a concierge lounge which was nestled among the Villas that served breakfast and light food throughout the day. As far as cons, I have a few. I thought the layout of the main hotel was odd; the lobby wasn't grand for a hotel of this stature - the original lobby which was up a flight of stairs was actually much nicer. I'm not sure what led to the switch up, but the main entrance was a tad miniscule. The Villas really confused me; an entire villa contained 6 bedrooms over two floors (three on each side of the villa) that were connected by common areas in the middle; the villa had its own main entrance to one of the common areas but each bedroom had its own separate entrance. You only get access to the common areas, though, if you book the entire villa - if you don't, then the common area stays locked/empty and you need to enter your specific room from the outside. I don't understand why they were set up like this - they could have been designed better. The Villas themselves were quite nice - decor was inoffensive though my room itself was kind of sparse - too big of a space for what was in the room. Lastly, the villa didn't have a kitchen which again seemed odd. To close, I gotta give credit to the staff - they were great. Everyone we interacted with was super friendly and accommodating. We were a larger party and they went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of - the true stars of my stay here. Overall, I think The Hotel Hershey is a solid choice for lodging when staying in Hershey; it has a lot going for it, and despite my critiques I would likely stay here again if I'm ever back in the area.

The Hotel Hershey is seeped in a pre Depression Era Elegance. It is a clean hotel that offers many amenities and charm. There are several restaurants and bars on the premises, as well as retail shops, two pools (indoor and outdoor), a spa and a botanical garden. There is also an arcade for teens and some lawn games available.

Closet big enough to fit a bed

Going up the driveway, we weren't sure we were in the right place. Until we went further up we saw a massive building. It looked old, like it had a story to tell. When you walk into the entrance, it looks very classy and elegant. I was warmly greeted and welcomed by someone at the front desk. She was one of the only nicest people to us here during our stay. She also provided me and my husband chocolate bars at check in. I thought that was a sweet treat. The room was ginormous, the closet alone already looked like a room. I thought it was interesting that the bed was right at the door. The couch and desk area was further down the room next to the bathroom. The bed was super comfy. The chocolate spa products smelled heavenly enough to eat. Some of the cons: 1. The bed is right there when you open the door. You can literally see the peep holes from the bed. 2. Cleanliness of the room - mediocre at best. The top of the tissue box literally had a layer of dust on top. Who knows how often they wipe surface areas. 3. For a 5 star hotel, our bedsheets had holes in them. Like wth? I've stayed in my fair share of hotels across the country. Never ever have I seen that. 4. One thing that turned me off about this place, the restaurants aren't actually in the hotel. The one's that are open at least. Then to top it off, you can't order take out from these restaurants? But, I can have doordash delivered? 5. #1 Con for me and my husband. Aside from the person who checked us in. Everyone else that worked there was racist. They glared at us like we stole something or don't belong. Or some of them would turn their backs like we're not there? There were so many instances that happened just for the one night we were there. That we cut the trip short and left the next day. If the hotel was like this, who's to say the park will be a better experience? My husband and I didn't feel safe here in this overrated hotel. I know RACISM still exists heavily in some states, but it's just SAD. It's 2024, how can we not move forward and make this a better and safe place for our FUTURE? How do you expect the state to thrive and make money if the tourists are being treated the way?

We stopped in after a terrible dinner experience and although they were closing the bar, they took the time to make us delicious nightcaps and conversed with us even though we stopped in late. We will definitely stay there on our next visit!

    Iberian Lounge

10 REASONS I LOVE HOTEL HERSHEY: 1. One of the most historically beautiful hotels/properties. 2. The Iberian Lounge (sprits sipped by the fire, among spirits). 3. Complimentary car service. 4. Lunch at Harvest (doesn't get better than Bavarian Pretzel Cheese Board). 5. Friendly/accommodating staff (shout out to driver Ethan; bartender Jarad). 6. Custom made cakes. (full stop). 7. Sinatra music playing in backyard gazebo/fountain. 8. Nighttime hallways look like something straight out of The Shining. 9. Chic Boutique (always blow my wallet up there). 10. The view from the front veranda. *Room for improvement: I wish they'd restore some value & WOW-factor to the breakfast buffet; the spa services are expensive & disappoint, guest umbrellas!

The larger studio with 2 Queen Beds & pull out sofa is very spacious with 4 adults but can accommodate 5. There is a partitioned room /work space from the sleeping area, but no door. There are also two TVs. The other tv is located in the work space/separate sitting area with a pull out sofa, coffee table, & a pull out work table & office chair. There are numerous outlets, however some of the sockets were "loose" the plugs wouldn't stay secure in the outlet. But fortunately we remedied this by using other available outlets near the floor lamps. I was relieved when my friend & I pulled out the sofa bed, because sometimes you never know what kind of "surprise" you might find. The sofa bed was really clean & looked relatively new. My friend reported that the bed was a bit stiff but was fine. The AC unit worked like a charm! I do like the full sized shampoo/conditioner & body wash. It's very convenient. A hair dryer is provided for convenience. I do make it a point to search for hotels with a microwave & mini fridge. It's super helpful for road trips for your bottled water or beverages to keep cold & store leftovers. Water pressure was good, as well as the temperature. The only thing that was disappointing was the every other day housekeeping. Although this is mentioned in their website. Breakfast was fairly extensive, with a mixture of cold & hot items such as make your own waffles with options of bottled toppings aside from syrup, toast, bagels, yogurt, cold cereal, oatmeal, bananas, apples, oranges, jams, jellies, & three hot items that would vary on occasion of a frittata, or an omelette, and a type of sausage, either pork or turkey varying on the day. There were friendly employees tending the breakfast area with a smile, ensuring the areas stayed clean & items were replenished & for assistance if needed. Juices & milk were available. While the tea & coffee were at a separate area in the dining area. While it became busy, there was still plenty of seating & no back ups with obtaining food. Sometimes, I wonder exactly what people are looking for when it comes to "complementary" breakfast, when they refer to the breakfast as being garbage or inedible. Clearly you're not going to have eggs Benedict or avocado toast & customized smoothies. If a hotel provides numerous options that also include hot items, I get pretty excited. Haha, it's when it's a continental breakfast that consists of JUST bananas, apple or a bagel & yogurt or a thrown in granola bar is when the disappointment arrives for me. Honestly, it's a nice convenience to have breakfast included so you don't start your day off hangry or trying to figure out where you're going for breakfast. It saves time, & it essentially saves money. It definitely is close to Chocolate World, Hershey Park & a 5 minutes drive from The Hershey Story, Chocolate Avenue Grill & Au Bon Lieu! Roughly a 45 minute drive to Strasburg RR, and a 35 minute drive to Turkey Hill Experience. There is a CVS within walking distance down the block, and an Exxon a block away on the other side of the hotel. The post office across the street is an Annex, so if you need to mail something off, there is a post office near the Hershey Story Museum, behind the Starbucks area. Although places are within walking distance, the streets are not ,that lead to the restaurants. There is no sidewalk until you reach a far way down. Overall, this is a good choice for a hotel if you want to be "centrally" located to Lancaster & other activities outside Downtown Hershey. It's in an unassuming area that seems out of place, but it's convenient, clean, spacious, includes breakfast, parking is included, has a microwave & mini fridge so it ticks off all the boxes for me. Plus the staff were kind & friendly & the hotel looked fresh & beautiful. The indoor pool is small & only 4 feet deep I believe, so if a pool is a deal breaker, this might be a no go for you. Ps if you want a surface to eat on because you don't feel like dining out & you order take away, you can roll that office table between the two beds & use it as a dining table.

The room felt dark-with decor in particular. Breakfast every morning. Had your typical breakfast- waffle maker waffles, cereal, bagels, eggs, a breakfast meat, yogurt, fruit, juices. They also had coffee that was out 24/7. Has a small indoor pool and a nice exercise room. Hershey Park during summer months have concerts that you can hear from the sound from your room. So if you go to bed early this may be an important factor. Rooms didn't really have a refresh. I was lucky if trash was taken out and we got new towels without asking. Not a bed made once. I miss those days of coming back to a nicely made bed. I guess those days are long gone? Also, the week we were there lots of kids which were running around the lobby like it was a playground. Overall my stay was okay. I might book here again if I was in the area but I would also consider a different spot as well.

The rooms felt dated - particularly the bathroom, where the wallpaper was peeling and the bathtub showed its age. The overall décor could benefit from a refresh. Small touches would also make a difference; for example, swapping the chocolate bar welcome for liquid body wash instead of bar soap would feel more practical and modern. I stayed for a conference, and while the buffet food was decent, the desserts were the standout - especially the brownies, cookies, and flourless chocolate cake. Those were definitely a win. The waterpark was a lot of fun for the kids and a big highlight of the stay. That said, it would be great if both the waterpark and on-site restaurants had extended hours, especially on weekends, to better accommodate families. A few logistical frustrations stood out as well. The check-in line was extremely long, so be prepared to wait - it would be a huge improvement if they offered a virtual check-in option. Additionally, room service does not come during multi-day stays, which was disappointing. A simple refresh between days would go a long way in improving the guest experience. Overall, it's a pleasant place with family-friendly features, but it didn't quite live up to other resort experiences I've had. If your main focus is a waterpark getaway, you may want to consider Great Wolf Lodge as a comparison.

With the exception of someone I spoke to on the phone who was incredibly rude, the morning before we checked in when I called to make sure we could stay in the same room for both of our nights (split reservation)... the entire staff was pleasant and helpful. But I really have to give major kudos and credit to the breakfast staff! Suffice it to say, breakfast time gets BUSY around 8:00/9:00 on a weekend morning. They were on top of keeping everything stocked and navigating around lines of people (seriously the waffle line was like 10 people deep). One gentleman in particular (and I wish I had gotten his name) was super helpful after a kid stuck his whole hand into a bowl of chocolate chips so we needed to ask for a replacement. The hotel shows signs of age and nothing is perfect (the shower head was SO HIGH I had to stand on tiptoes to just adjust the stream) but overall it was a good stay. The bed was comfortable... maybe a little firm... but I was THRILLED to find they do do use the crappy down pillows that every other Hilton Brand seems to use. The ones that support your head for about 30 seconds. So this made for a much more restful night of sleep. And of course it is pet friendly with a convenient doggie station on a decent size grassy area that spans the back of the hotel. I WOULD recommend that housekeeping pay a bit more attention to what toiletries they hang in the shower (LOVE LOVE the full size ones that not only cut down on waste but also mean our whole family of four isn't trying to make one tiny bottle of Neutrogena last). The reason I say that is because we didn't have shampoo in our shower. We had shower gel, conditioner, and LOTION. Haha. We're Diamond members so have stayed in a few Hilton properties. And many of them Hamptons. I was not disappointed with this stay. With its proximity to the park (easy in and out), it's a good deal.
