The beds and most especially the pillows are good. I hate when hotels only offer sift pillows, but here they have soft and medium firmness so yay! I checked in and got a notice to show the front desk for a free bar of chocolate. The man up front had never seen that before, but props to him for rolling with it and giving it over and going to tell his manager. The AC was also top notch. Our group got split between two hope and the other one apparently didn't have good AC

This hotel was nice. Smaller food/breakfast area but they had a great staff who kept everything clean and stocked. Along with the standard coffee and tea, they also had lemon packets and honey for tea...a small touch but nice. The motel is being renovated at this time and my room was nice. Tip - a train runs behind the hotel, so that increases noise if you're sensitive

Dove bath products. There were no more body soap though.

It's your standard typical HI Express, but recently renovated. They have the same breakfast like most all others and also have cookies in the afternoon which was cool. Do like their pancake machine. Small indoor pool which was so crowded around 9pm. Their hallways though need a deep clean - so many stains. The rooms were renovated and was pleased with the room, except for their loud AC unit. Man when it turns on, holy cow. It's sooo loud. Tv has direct tv with so many channels. Nice size mini refrig and a microwave too. Bathroom was good size but there was no body wash soap (one bad thing about how hotels have shifted to this to save in the environment - less plastic waste). Location is good with Hersheypark about 6 minute drive. And across from traffic light was Wendy's, McDonald's, a diner, and large Sheetz gas station.

I can not say how happy I was with this hotel. After a night from hell at another hotel nearby, I called around a few hotels to get another stay for the night, and to get some sleep Since me and my daughter didn't get any the night/morning before. I called this hotel and spoke to a very friendly woman who said they had rooms available. By this time- it was an bout 5am and we were drained- just looking for a warm place to sleep and a soft bed- and we got lucky. We drove to the hotel to check in and the woman who was working the night Was super friendly and helpful/ she must've felt bad for us since we had just left the hotel we were staying at previously and we looked so tired. She asked if I had anything to get a discount and I mentioned I have military ID so she ended up giving me a discount and getting me a one night stay that was way cheaper than the hotel I just left. The hotel had an indoor Pool as well as a hot tub, a gym, and a laundry room. This hotel was just what we needed. The staff were friendly and they had breakfast included. They also had served complimentary cookies, hot chocolate, coffee and tea. The room met our needs, was quiet compared to our previous hotel and we had no issues with the room being too dry. We were still sick from whatever was making us sick at the previous place, but we were actually able to get some shut eye- which we needed desperately.

Made reservations with an online 3rd party vendor. Hotel is about 3 minute drive away from Hersheypark. There are about 4-6 restaurants right outside the hotel (Papa John, Bob Evans, McDonald's, KFC, Cocoa Diner). Check-in was easy. Front desk was pleasant. Room was on the second floor right up the stairs. Room was spacious for 3. Overall clean with no smell (they allow dogs). Bedding was soft, comfortable and warm. Temperature was easy to adjust to our comfort level. Bathroom was clean & had JR Watkins toiletries. Keurig coffee machine, fridge and microwave all worked. Theres a 10p to 8am quiet policy. For the most part it was obeyed. Breakfast was adequate (just enough to get us going for the day at Hersheypark. Made to order pancake machine (kinda cool to watch). Hot items: egg white veggie or plain omelets, real pork sausages along with your regular hotel complimentary breakfast items. Area was clean staff was friendly. Gloves to be worn when you go and get your food. Overall good stay. We'd stay here again

Nice hotel! Great free breakfast: eggs, bacon, waffles, yogurt. Good pool and hot tub. Solid room. Free cookies and fruit infused water in lobby. Parking was nice. Check in was easy. Right near Hershey Park. Five walkable fast food places and a bar right next door. Fridge and microwave. This hotel was cheap to compared to the rest. I would stay again!

I would like to preface this review with the fact that I have been in service my entire life,…read moreincluding managing a hotel myself. I currently work for American Airlines at the Charlotte Douglas Airport. The front desk agent Matt - caused me to walk away from a prepaid reservation and pay to stay at the Hilton Hershey property instead. Which was amazing, by the way! I had a reservation for 6/15, and had called the week before to reconfirm an early check in. After working my 8-9-hour shift, I drove over 7 hours straight to Hershey PA to take my elderly mother to a concert at Hershey Stadium. Once arriving at the Fairfield, Matt brusquely replied that I did not have a reservation. I explained to him that a Marriott Vacation Club Member had gifted me the room and it was registered in my name as well as theirs. He then "found it" and told me there would be no early check in although I had confirmed, and I would have to wait until after 4pm. Mind you it is 11am, and at this point I have been awake well over 24 hours and am feeling faint. He was so nasty, I took a step back to take a calming breath. He was then so rude to the next lady (in front of her children as well) that she exclaimed "is this how you treat Marriott Bonvoy Members? WOW!" I knew I was unable to reason with this individual, and I was too exhausted to escalate the issue. So, I simply left and took my business elsewhere. I called today after some thought on the matter, hoping to give grace, and it was Matt who answered the phone. He was disdainful, snide, would not provide me with the GM's name or email and disconnected the call. I called Marriott Bonvoy myself and got the information I needed. Matt is ABSOLUTELY NOT the person Guests should EVER see and interact with upon entering a Marriott property. A welcoming smile and spirit of kindness is necessary in our industry. Matt has none of these qualities. Like I relayed to Corporate, Matt is most definitely a cause of loss of revenue for this location. On a more positive note, Zira and Melisa at The Hampton Inn Hershey saved the day! Highly recommend!!!

With the exception of someone I spoke to on the phone who was incredibly rude, the morning before we checked in when I called to make sure we could stay in the same room for both of our nights (split reservation)... the entire staff was pleasant and helpful. But I really have to give major kudos and credit to the breakfast staff! Suffice it to say, breakfast time gets BUSY around 8:00/9:00 on a weekend morning. They were on top of keeping everything stocked and navigating around lines of people (seriously the waffle line was like 10 people deep). One gentleman in particular (and I wish I had gotten his name) was super helpful after a kid stuck his whole hand into a bowl of chocolate chips so we needed to ask for a replacement. The hotel shows signs of age and nothing is perfect (the shower head was SO HIGH I had to stand on tiptoes to just adjust the stream) but overall it was a good stay. The bed was comfortable... maybe a little firm... but I was THRILLED to find they do do use the crappy down pillows that every other Hilton Brand seems to use. The ones that support your head for about 30 seconds. So this made for a much more restful night of sleep. And of course it is pet friendly with a convenient doggie station on a decent size grassy area that spans the back of the hotel. I WOULD recommend that housekeeping pay a bit more attention to what toiletries they hang in the shower (LOVE LOVE the full size ones that not only cut down on waste but also mean our whole family of four isn't trying to make one tiny bottle of Neutrogena last). The reason I say that is because we didn't have shampoo in our shower. We had shower gel, conditioner, and LOTION. Haha. We're Diamond members so have stayed in a few Hilton properties. And many of them Hamptons. I was not disappointed with this stay. With its proximity to the park (easy in and out), it's a good deal.

The rooms felt dated - particularly the bathroom, where the wallpaper was peeling and the bathtub showed its age. The overall décor could benefit from a refresh. Small touches would also make a difference; for example, swapping the chocolate bar welcome for liquid body wash instead of bar soap would feel more practical and modern. I stayed for a conference, and while the buffet food was decent, the desserts were the standout - especially the brownies, cookies, and flourless chocolate cake. Those were definitely a win. The waterpark was a lot of fun for the kids and a big highlight of the stay. That said, it would be great if both the waterpark and on-site restaurants had extended hours, especially on weekends, to better accommodate families. A few logistical frustrations stood out as well. The check-in line was extremely long, so be prepared to wait - it would be a huge improvement if they offered a virtual check-in option. Additionally, room service does not come during multi-day stays, which was disappointing. A simple refresh between days would go a long way in improving the guest experience. Overall, it's a pleasant place with family-friendly features, but it didn't quite live up to other resort experiences I've had. If your main focus is a waterpark getaway, you may want to consider Great Wolf Lodge as a comparison.

If you are searching through Hershey for a traveler motel that won't fill you with despair and disgust you've found it. For the price, this is a five star hotel. Reader, if you are looking for a better experience at this price point, you are not going to find it in any popular town in the U.S. I've spent the last few years of my career checking many of them. I have to assume the poor reviews predate a renovation and/or management change, or that some people's expectations for a ~$100 motel in a tourist town are way too high. I have stayed in a lot of travel motels like this for work, and there are cheap bad hotels and cheap good hotels - I would say this is a good one. The beds were well made and clean, the mattresses pass the flip test, and the bathroom was very clean as well. The carpets in the room were properly vacuumed. No dust bunnies in the corners. There is some highway traffic noise beginning around 6am, but this motel is next to the highway. If you're staying anywhere like this you should bring earplugs anyway. The shower is hot and the water pressure is strong. Lots of these budget places have stopped cleaning rooms nightly during a stay, but this one does. The tub in my room could use to be refinished. I don't think anything else here is in real need of a renovation. And, the people working here are really, genuinely nice. I did not expect the doorman at midnight on a weekday to be so friendly as I checked in and that is really appreciated after a long day of travel. Thanks a lot dude, I literally drafted this review the night I came in for that. Everyone I saw here from the desk staff to the housekeepers were so friendly. Really, thanks so much. It makes traveling for work so much nicer. There is a really sparse fitness center but I appreciate having one at all at a motel like this. Good if you want to get a run or a quick workout in while you're traveling, but don't expect much equipment. Walking distance to some bars and restaurants including a 24 hour diner.
