Sweet deals brought us back, the service will keep us! CC was our server, and she was the best server we have had in a long time! We decided to share the surf n turf. The steak we got was a ribeye, it was cooked perfectly & tasted great. The lobster tail unfortunately was not so great. FYI, it is NOT a maine lobster tail. So its not as sweet. Personally I did not care for it. Otherwise, everything was great. We also found out that they are undee new ownership & now they cook all of their food in house under an open flame! :) Thet made other changes as well, such as they got rid of the salad bar. They have very cool western decor & she said they have live music now on Wednesdays I believe. Oh & they have happy hour from 3-6pm every day! We will definitely be back :)

Wowsy! Stopped in for lunch after VW show at Chirco. Seated instantly. Drinks served with a smile. Ordered platter to share and whoa! What a delight! Chef deserves a kiss! Nice and clean! Appreciate that! Plus I was offered a drink to try.... Holiday drink! So go in and give it a name!!!! When we head Eastside will stop in!

My Husband and I used to come here all the time when they opened 10 years ago. After the VID happened in 2020 it kinda went downhill and a lot of items were removed from the menu. We had date night last night and decided to give them another try. I am SO GLAD we did. The East Side lacks great eateries and The Horseshoe Grill is now back up in our top 3. Apparently there are new owners, so that might have to do with the excellent experience we had with our dinner last night. Not to mention our absolutely amazing waitress, Jaycie. She was so attentive, hilarious, and really made our experience top notch. We got the bbq sampler platter which was amazing. The drinks (Moscow mule and Long Island) were excellent and the zucchini sticks were the best we have ever had. It was a bit slow but we got there pretty late at around 8:30. I am hoping East Side Tucsonas will once again start frequenting this establishment. You will NOT be disappointed!

Right now, this place is only open a few days each week, as we'd tried to go during the week earlier. Hoping they'll increase the number of days they're open, as they seem to do a good business. We had a very good meal there. We chose the one-trip to the salad bar as our sides. The salad bar was clean with fresh ingredients. The platters we ordered came to the table quickly, were very flavorful (brisket and pulled pork), and tender. They came with Texas toast as well. We got some complimentary hot rolls ahead of the meal, but they seemed to just be regular rolls you could buy at a grocery store. Our server was attentive and friendly. There were tables and booths, as well as a bar area, with the kitchen kind of in the middle of the space.

So many restaurants closing recently in Tucson. Glad to see Horseshoe Grill still is the go-to reference for a local steakhouse. It had been a while since we were last at HSG and decided to head in on a Friday night. It was still the great steaks and friendly service we remembered. It's obvious they are trying to keep their prices affordable and the cost of meat has skyrocketed everywhere, but HSG's steak prices are more reasonable than other restaurants in Tucson and the quality is excellent, so for that alone they earn my repeat business. Same goes for cocktails as well. One thing that has always struck me about dining at HSG is the incredible service and super friendly staff. Oh, and they brought back their killer salad bar, too! That mainstay became a Covid casualty. I'm so glad it finally has been restored. Great unassuming venue for a date-night.

stopped by for drink. has nice small bar. definitely a family steakhouse and has the smell and feel of old school steakhouse. Has some TVs and convenient for watching football on wknds. Prices are what you would expect for a nice steakhouse. Drink prices are good.

Had a wonderful time at THG yesterday, with great service from Vinnie (sorry if it's spelled Vinny!) and EXCELLENT food! First of all, Vinnie was awesome as a server, he checked on us frequently, refilled drinks quickly, was very helpful in navigating the menu, had a really fun personality, and he made an awesome smoked Manhattan (at his good suggestion, I might add). The food was just terrific, too! I was a little concerned that the pork belly burnt ends would be fatty but that was NOT the case at all, nor were they too sweet either, they were delicious, just right! I liked the little cubes, nice size. Very tasty. The chicken wings were also fantastic! Crispy, tender, and delicious. Still thinking about them. And they accommodated sauce on the side (they offer a lot of sauces for the wings, too). I had the T-Bone steak, and it was also delicious. I hemmed and hawed, should I get barbecue or steak, and I guess I'll just have to return to try brisket or the other meats, but I had NO issue with the T-Bone. Yes, when it first came out, it was underdone (we ordered medium well and it was more like medium rare), but Vinnie made it right very quickly. In fact, he handled it better than I've seen a lot of other people handle it. And the steak was tender and delicious! I really liked this experience and we definitely plan to return!

When we walked in at 6pm, the restaurant was almost at capacity. The entryway and dining room was buzzing with people. The service was courteous and timely, we never lacked water or bread or anything else for that matter. We were celebrating a birthday and the birthday card that was presented at the dinner table was a nice touch. My cousin also received some chocolate bon bons that were really good. My family and I shared the oysters, shrimp cocktail, onion rings, potatoes au gratin, pork chops, and rib eyes; for dessert, we shared the lava cake. Everything was made perfectly. The chops and steaks were juicy, the seafood was plump and fresh and the entree sides were hot and tasty. The bon bon chocolate was rich and velvety. I wish the chocolate in the lava cake was just as good, but it was a smidge not as rich in flavor. Nonetheless, we all left the restaurant full and very happy. I wholeheartedly recommend going to Fleming's and enjoying a nice steak dinner.

Suffice to say she absolutely raved - placing it on par with many of the Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants she has sampled back east. And, we agreed, when Michelin publishes its first-ever SouthWest U.S. edition later this year (2026) I recognize getting a star is a mighty fete but if Tito/Pep does not at least make its S.W. Bib list I will know the fix is in. We started with the Queso Fundido ($13) - with chewy cheese, sauteed mushrooms, and beef chorizo it was a perfect blend of meaty/savory/fatty. We also ordered the Grilled Octopus ($17). What a surprise this was, the crunchy roasted pepper flakes and unusually soft grilled octopus it kicked the pants off of "calamari-style." We inquired and the way they remove the typical rubberiness is by poaching the octopus tentacles for 5(!) hours before grilling. You Go chef Martinez! For our entree we opted for the day's special: deep fried whole Red Snapper for two ($85)... as did about a half-dozen other tables in this intimate 20-tabled venue. See pics as a written description is inadequate. The crisp was excellent and the tender moist fish just beneath, exquisite. The roasted jalapenos were other worldly - somehow only mild heat and with a subtle sweet/acid presence... totally and entirely edible. As fantastic as the vinegar slaw was atop our self-made fish tacos, the tomatillo puree was ridiculous - so fresh and not sour that its scent was nearly as strong as its flavor. We asked again, how?! and were told they first cook the tomatillos for 3 hours. Folks, the effort involved to present this kind of meal would be nearly impossible to do at home for even double the cost. We concluded with the ganache dessert ($12). While so richly decadent it was possibly too rich, only by virtue of its size... it needs to be shared! We were deeply torn over that or the olive oil cake and will opt for the latter... next year, Lol. For drinks we ordered two glasses of their "red blend" (really good for a simple blend) and then the Pie Allen after dinner cocktail ($13) - an interesting combination of prickly pear liquor and port. The staff were amazing - not just in timely attentiveness (a minimum requirement at this level) but especially in terms of being able to field our deep curiosities about several of the dishes. Due to our "layers" of ordering we stayed an easy 2+ hours and were never rushed. Parking will get tight at peak times but everyone will be accommodated. Pre-tip we were at $165 - a special occasion outing for sure but, we both agreed, an (almost) bargain. At this level of quality and degree of effort in Chicago or Miami (places she recently lived) would be closer to $250 for two. Small note: three years ago this began, now it's the norm - restaurants are calculating the tip based upon a total that's After the tax has been added. It's a minor but, nonetheless, unconsented-to, inflation of the tip. Just an fyi :)

Luckily, they put us at two long tables next to each other in the back, which was perfect, because we are a noisy group. The Cork has a very eclectic menu, very diverse. There were many choices between beef, pork, chicken and seafood, as well as Bison, lamb and venison with a few daily specials thrown in. To start off they provided wonderful breads on each table. The Cork is known as a steakhouse so many of the diners ordered steak dinners. I ordered the lobster tail which was wonderfully delicious and cooked to perfection. All of the diners commented that their dinners were cooked to their specifications, no matter what was ordered. The Cork also has a very extensive wine and cocktail menu that most of diners ordered from and were happy with their choices. Our waiter was wonderful. All of our orders were correct, which is a big job to accomplish with 18 diners in the same group. The dinners came in a timely manner, and everyone enjoyed their meals. The only issue was the Baby Back Ribs on the menu had a price of $35. However, when the check came $37 was charged for the item. When the diner pointed it out to the waiter, he stated he would fix it. Unfortunately, it did not get fixed. It went unnoticed until after we left the restaurant. Further although the reservations were made in August for this dinner, somehow our reservation was lost. Nonetheless the restaurant was very accommodating for our large group and our "lost" reservation was honored. It was a very good experience. I would highly recommend The Cork - Tucson.

Service was so/so. Had to ask for drinks multiple times. But frankly the quality of the food was not worth the cost. Definitely will not be returning, until they revamp the menu to include less French style and more uniquely inspired fresh food. I mean if we wanted French we would have gone to Le Rendezvous or Wild Garlic which are top notch.
