Don't bother. Prime rib steamed. No crust. instant Mashed potatoes. Risotto was over cooked and mush. Needed salt. No drink refills on water or tea.

Birthday Dinner at Agave, Desert Diamond Casino, June 2019
    Rebecca D.

My guy made reservations for my birthday in late June and all the wait staff greeted me with happy birthday. I again ordered the char salmon and wasn't disappointed. 3rd time having the salmon, and I don't know how they do this, but the salmon is always terrific, the veggies are fresh, local, tasty. My desert was a sweet little B-day cake with a happy birthday sign in chocolate. Note: the restaurant is located at Desert Diamond, but in a section close to the event center and not inside of the casino.

Christmas Eve dinner featured a special limited menu which included 2 prime rib entrees for $35. I had salmon with mushrooms and a beet salad. Loved the beet salad, and the salmon entree was very good too. Our group of 4 shared 2 appetizers- a whipped shortribs app & deviled eggs. We all agreed the shortribs app was bizarre, but I liked it. The eggs were pretty good, and everyone enjoyed their entrees as well. Prices are pretty fair for a semi-upscale restaurant. The main seating area is too bright and doesn't seem fitting for this atmosphere. We sat near the window, which is a nicer area. Another visit here was for happy hour, which has some great menu options such as $5 goat cheese flatbread/pizza and $3 drinks! The flatbread/pizza was good except for the ton of garlic on it. Yikes! The avocado fries were very lackluster as the avocado wasn't ripe. We also got a bread basket which included zucchini bread and that was yummy. My scallops entree was just OK, it lacked much flavor and was a little gritty. The corn risotto or similar it came with was OK but not a great choice as a complement to scallops. For around $20, it was a good price, but I'd pay more for a delicious scallops entree any day! The decor is so bizarre. It looks like a cafeteria to me except for the entryway, which has a fine dining appeal to it. I don't get why this wasn't carried into the dining area. The "alcove" area with a nice view of the casino's expansive outdoor area is the best table in the joint. There is outdoor seating as well.

This place was interesting. Their menu was very nice, with higher end 'fancy restaurant' style food, but when you walk in it looks like Denny's meets Ruth Chris. The ambiance really threw us off, as it is definitely not what I would consider a nice restaurant by the decor alone. HOWEVER, we were pleasantly surprised by VERY good food - prawn cocktail, dinner salads, crab stuffed prawn dinner, filet mignon and topped with a prickly pear cheesecake. The service was excellent, the staff was very attentive. Finally, for the level of food quality -- the prices are VERY reasonable. If you don't care about the cheap chair/table set up inside, try this place out for sure.

Food Man's lunch 5/4/16. Boneless braised short rib, no fat. Terrific. All for $10 bucks.

5 stars for their lunch specials. The specials are served Wednesday thru Sunday. PRICE... $10. Now I see some people complain about this and that and I say are they overly critical? Who knows? The Food Man, Me, is not a food snob and I realize it's Green Valley so when I get a great lunch with dessert I find it hard to complain. The prices are very reasonable, come on it's 10 bucks, and my service has always been fine. You want the best server ask for Tina she's been there 15 years and she'll give you FREE water. LOL Give it a try. You'll like it. The Food Man knows! Chow for Now!

During that time, other guests who arrived after us appeared to receive service before we did. I ordered the steak and cheese sandwich, and my wife ordered the chipotle chicken Alfredo. The food arrived about 15 minutes after we ordered. My sandwich was acceptable, but the chipotle chicken Alfredo was not prepared well. The chicken was overcooked, and the sauce had thickened to the point that it affected the texture of the dish. My wife was unable to finish it. We were also there during happy hour, which was supposed to include $2 off all drinks. After reviewing the bill, the drink discount did not appear to be applied. Because of the amount of time we had already spent waiting, we chose not to raise the issue at the restaurant. After asking for the bill, we waited about 10 minutes and had to call the waitress over again to request it. Based on this visit, we do not plan to return to Pub 22. We try to support local businesses, especially since there are limited dining options nearby, but the service, food quality, and billing accuracy during this visit did not meet expectations.

The server split it for us as we thought it might be 'BIG' due to retail price. Not so much. We should have known when we first walked in at lunchtime on a Thursday and the place was almost empty. They currently do not have a liquor license so maybe that is why they charge $3.50 for a fountain soda drink? Another Rip-Off!!!!! Sadly, we will never return to this GV establishment!!!

The food came out within ten minutes. The sliders were well done and dry. Lacked flavor. Served with fries and ketchup on the side. Fries were good! Ranch was super watery and had very little flavor. The seafood pasta was rich, and served lukewarm. There were several pieces of decent sized scallops. No one checked on us during the meal and were in need of water refills. The place is super overpriced for the area. Too many other options in the area to come back.

The only dish I really enjoyed, was the patatas bravas. The rest are as follows: - Iberico Jamón board ($27) : I would have enjoyed the bread toasted, and a better assortment of items on the board that may have paired better. I didn't enjoy the jelly with the apples and the olives. I also feel that the board is not filling enough for the price tag. I tried an array of their dishes, but only really liked the potatas bravas ($11). I also got the croquette ($14), the sautéed chicken ($13), and the bacalao pil pil ($15). I thought the chicken and then croquette were just okay, and could've used more flavor. I really didn't like the fish, as I had a fishy flavor to it that was really pronounced. Incomprehensibly high! They have risen to about twice since the pandemic, i.e. by about 100%, although the costs at the food wholesaler have only increased by about 5% for fish and about 20% for pork! 2. Size of portions! In every respect much smaller than before 2020, main courses are now minimized to the size of a child's plate! The cheesecake for me, the birthday boy, was so narrow that I wondered if the staff in the kitchen used special knives to cut a cake of about 10 inches in diameter into an infinite number of segments. Impressive! 3. Quality! One should be able to assume that chefs worldwide complete an apprenticeship somewhere in a commercial academy or in an established restaurant and then proudly apply their skills in their workplace! In "Taste of Agave" at "Desert Diamond Casino", this is obviously not the case! All dishes were characterized by either overcooked meat (Seared Pork Tenderloin), tasteless, or parched side dishes (e.g. green asparagus - very woody). 4. Billing! Humans make mistakes! Therefore, I do not want to emphasize this point too much. My bill, nevertheless, showed a dish that I did not order and it was not served to me. But the fact that the restaurant management considers it justified to put a predefined tip on the bill is very surprising! After this pitiful presentation of a dinner for a birthday party, all guests should have received compensation for experienced "pain and suffering!!!
